The owner and the breakfast was really first class, and very delicious! The inside and outside. Seating areas are spectacular and really nice way to spend lazy afternoons. It's on the main drag so people will walk by. A fun place to be. Across the street is the sweet life restaurant, nice place to eat. We stayed in one of the carriage house rooms on the bottom floor, there are two bedrooms, which are very similar. One has a queen bed and the other has two double beds. Our friends stayed next-door. The room was good, I probably was expecting it to be a little bit more polished. The appointments were really nice, everything worked fine. But a few minor things like the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, one of the sinks wasn't working just right. Not sure exactly how to put a finger on it, but felt a little underwhelmed when entering the room. However, in saying that, I slept like a baby every night in the perfect bed and mattress. The room did the job in terms of comfort, and a nice shower, and Right next to the main house, I would recommend staying here. Definitely recommend it if you're looking to stay in Oak Bluffs, and want to be right in the middle of the action!

There were so many adorable details, I wish I had taken more photos. Inside, there's tea available all day, and free breakfast in the mornings. The spa is embedded right in the hotel, and when you're a guest using the amenities is seamless. You can easily get into an exercise class, like Zumba or yoga, or use the pool and the saunas- there's one with hot dry heat and another with steam. When you get up to your hotel room it feels more like you're in some kind of time capsule. They have kind of an exhibit of historical objects from the area. Then the room is kind of effortlessly elegant, in that unique New England-y way- just nice furniture, great materials in the bed sheets and whatnot, and some spiffy flair- like a luxurious tub with a huge tabletop for putting bubble bath, salts, spa essentials, maybe a bottle of wine?, and an outdoor terrace for having a light breakfast in the morning (put some fruit in your mini fridge, from the morning or from a market nearby). She asked us if we would like a room with a balcony and of course we said yes! The house is located directly across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, most days we were there it was foggy, but beautiful nonetheless. We visited off season. She gave us ideas on things we can do, since we took our car on the ferry over to the island. The beach house was cozy and quiet. Every morning when we woke up, we smelled and were offered fresh baked cookies. I would absolutely come back here again.

Made a last-minute online inquiry on a Friday afternoon to see if they had "room at the inn" the…read morefollowing day - got a response back within an hour from owner Larry who said he had one room left for us to stay, and knocked off a percentage of the cost since it was a last-minute booking. My husband and I were elated. The owners were wonderful and we had a relaxing stay in their beautiful home. We were greeted by Larry in the morning for breakfast, who prepared some delicious blueberry pancakes for us and we enjoyed great conversation with he and his wife and the rest of the B&B guests. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for our first trip to Martha's Vineyard. We'll be back!
