I've been wanting to come to this place ever since I heard about it in February. According to the…read moreowner it has been open since last August and they've already had to move to a larger location to accommodate their merchandise and business. I was in there for a good hour I would guess and found the owner and employees to be exceptionally friendly, the prices are very reasonable. There's a good choice and I found lots of cute things to buy. It is spacious and easy to look through the racks. As of the date I visited, 7 / 17 / 20, the prices were $1.75 per item for children's clothing and $2.75 per item for adult clothing unless marked otherwise. Nicer items are marked higher but I found a beautiful name brand jacket that was only $4.50 so they aren't out to gouge anybody for sure. I bought a couple of nearly new skeins of yarn for $1.75 each and a few other smaller items. I think the most expensive things I got were in the $1.75 range, everything else was less. I ended up with two bags of items for under $16. I look forward to going back and combining it with a trip to a local restaurant the next time I'm in the area.

I expected to feel awkward or overwhelmed, but the experience turned out to be the exact opposite. The staff here are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and so knowledgeable. Instead of making me feel like a fish out of water, they asked thoughtful questions and took the time to explain the symbolism and meaning behind various items. I never once felt judged or rushed. They truly cared about helping me find something personal and respectful. Thanks to their guidance, I ended up purchasing a beautiful piece that my uncle not only loved, but told me had deep significance in his spiritual practice. That meant the world to both of us. Whether you're experienced in alternative spiritualities or just walking in with curiosity (or confusion like I was), Arkady's is a place that will treat you with kindness, patience, and genuine expertise. We were first attracted to the glazed pots outside because they had such a nice collection of colors. Then we walked into the greenhouse and were greeted with the heavenly fragrance of petunias from the many hanging baskets above the rows of plants. It's one of those nurseries where you can find just about any kind of plant you've been looking for. All of the plants are beautiful specimens in tip-top condition. The greenhouse adjoins another greenhouse that is decked out with very luxurious patio furniture and decor and is followed by more rows of plants to the right and the main store entrance to the left. It's absolutely gorgeous in there! We sort of explored this business in a round about way, but eventually made it to the front section of the store which is a large room nicely decorated with antiques, collectibles, and melamine dishes... all for sale! This place is pricey, I would say twice the price of what you'd pay for a comparable product elsewhere, but it was such an unexpected gem we ran across while cruising the countryside that I think it's something everyone should explore when in the area. You will be delighted.
