Best avoided. We scheduled an appointment to evaluate the fridge / freezer and explained on the phone that the unit would require pulling out to gain access. They confirmed they would send a two man crew for such a job. On the day of we received a call with some leading questions which resulted in them explaining a two man crew would be required and they didn't have availability for this today as the scheduling notes didn't mention it would be necessary. We explained this was fully detailed in advance but received a "what do you expect me to do about it". The call then took a very nasty tone as they tried to shift the blame onto my pregnant wife. I spoke with them for a few minutes and received a racial slur directed at me "you can take your foreign accent and stick it.....". I am mother tongue English but not from America. I think we are supposed to call this kind of behavior out these days. Stooping down to racism in a debate is pretty low level stuff. Not good or honorable guys, I certainly wouldn't let them near an appliance. read more

Not sure what these reviews are talking about. Used them multiple times and they are the most HONEST company out there. Was told by LUXURY APPLIANCE CARE that my Subzero was unrepairable and I needed to buy a new one for the tune of $17,000. By the way, LUXURY is highly recommended by Appliance World in Huntington. DON'T KNOW WHY ???????????????????? He said I needed a new condenser, a new evaporator and another component. He said it was definitely not worth fixing. I called in High End for a second opinion. The repairman was SHOCKED that LUXURY did not even look at the thermostat which was the problem. So for $500 I have a perfectly working Subzero, plus one year warrenty. So please, see for yourself. My 35 year old Thermador Convection/Thermal/Microwave Double Wall Oven is a wonderful appliance, but keeping it running is a challenge. Then I found High-End Appliance! Arthur and Dan were fantastic! They arrived on time, got my lower oven repaired and working perfectly! And then they gave my SubZero refrigerator a thorough cleaning. I called them again and so they came out and billed me a second time without my permission. The worst showed up 1/2 hour late and they charge a $135 service call, beware, not disclosed when I placed a call. Tech did no diagnostic, gave me a proposal for a control board for over $1,800, and left, never heard from them again. Had a second company, very good, total cost under $600, and a completely different diagnostic as the tech plugged in this laptop and updated the firmware, and found the error code issue. I wish I came here and read the reviews first. Terrible customer service that acts like they are doing YOU the favor for doing business with them. Also, the serviceman Arthur complained a lot and completely messed up my entire kitchen island when he re-installed the appliance they had to repair. The company came back to try to fix what they had messed up and could not. Then took zero responsibility- told me to call my kitchen cabinet installer and left my island in even worse condition than he had the first time. Everything is leaning to one side and there are big gaps on one side and rubbing the cabinets on the other. If your job is repair appliances that are built in to cabinetry then you should be able to put the appliances back in to the cabinets. They are extremely rude to boot. I wish I would have come here and read the horrible reviews about this company. After telling me a part was under warrantee on my Sub Zero fridge they came and replaced it and then said that it wasn't under warrantee. The tech told me my only option was to pay for it or they would take it out and put in the old piece. When I called to speak to the owner, he lied and said he had told me it was not under warrantee and yelled at me to pay the full amount or if he would send me to collection, not even bothering to find out from his tech that I had already paid for the entire amount because, unlike him, I am not a dead beat. read more

This was one of the worst service experiences of my life. The work is defective and has to be completely redone by another company. The second company said that I should call High-End and get a refund because there is a leak somewhere, maybe a bad solder, but they won't be able to know for sure where the leak is until they redo the work for over $1K. Anyone who knows High-End knows that they would never give a refund. I just can't bear seeing them or interacting with them ever again, my experience with them was that bad. High-End Appliance, Inc. came for a minor servicing of our Sub-Zero refrigerator. Their repairman entered our house and first made an unrequested refrigerator door gasket replacement. He then spent 10 minutes to unclog a drain (the original reason for our call) and charged us $330.20 which we paid at the time of the visit. Whatever he did while replacing the gasket made it almost impossible to open the refrigerator door! My wife called to have this situation corrected however, in the intervening two weeks, struggling to open the door resulted in an injury to her right arm and the chest muscles on her right side. The same repairman returned with attitude. My was alone with him and when she mentioned how inconvenient it was not to be able to open the refrigerator for two weeks he grew angry and aggressive. He towered over her and shouted at her. Finally, after pushing by me, he stormed out of our house refusing to touch the refrigerator. My wife still cannot open the refrigerator door without help. After 13 years of dealing with High-End Appliance Inc. there is now no way we will ever let them in our house again. We have since found out through the Better Business Bureau that Sub Zero has withdrawn repair center authorization for High-End. And we read online about people who had similar experiences. The word most often used was "RUDE". For us it was way worse than rude! Nice job High-End. Keep it up and you'll be out of business before you know what hit you. read more

Unfortunately the service technician scratched the entire front of my Wolf Oven while making repairs.

Absolutely the rudest and most incompetent people I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. They showed up and left before we could even open the door. They left behind the part that they were supposed to install for the second time and told me very rudely to find another company to install it. This was said after I told them that the first technician had damaged a different part of the appliance the first time that they were there with a defective replacement. DO NOT use High End Appliance. They used an after-market fan/motor in my Sub-Zero Refridgerator which sounded like a helicopter. They insisted it was the correct part. I know better. I called another company which is authorized to repair sub-zero appliances and they informed me that they installed an after-market fan/motor which probably cost no more than $10.00. High End Appliance used to be authorized to repair Sub-Zero appliances but they aren't anymore but they failed to tell me when I made the appointment. They refused to refund me my money back even after I told them to come pick up the part. I will dispute the credit card charge. read more
