Wow. Reading the "response" from Juleus Preston honestly made me laugh…read more According to him, I am somehow not only a landlord, but secretly living in disguise, and personally plotting against hardworking electricians. Maybe next time he'll say I'm part of the FBI too. Here are the actual facts: * He came, did no testing whatsoever, and replaced a breaker that was perfectly fine. * When it didn't solve the issue, he demanded $200 anyway. * Then he tried to upsell me another $150 "detection fee." * The very same day, I found a real licensed electrician who did a proper test, discovered it was just a light, and fixed the whole thing for $200 total. Problem solved. And let's be real: which scammer pays in full? If I were scamming, I wouldn't have paid him a cent. I paid just to get rid of him and keep my tenant safe. As for "hiding my identity" -- of course I don't hand my personal details to dishonest scammers and haters. That's called protecting yourself. Instead of writing conspiracy theories about me, Mr. Preston should take that $200 and buy a $50 meter. It would save everyone a lot of trouble.

The delivery guys said that I had two days to figure out if the problem was the plug or the dryer was defective. If it was the dryer, they would pick it up and take it back and bring a replacement. I found Julius and explained the rush and he was here within 20 minutes! Not only did he show up fast and ready to get the job done, but he was so friendly and helpful. He diagnosed the problem as the plug, which wasn't wired correctly. He showed me as he fixed it. Plugged in the dryer, turned it on, it worked! So, I just wanted to again say "Thank you, Julius!"...I highly recommend TR & JP Handy Electricians.

Being a homeowner sucks sometimes. Last month I started experiencing electrical problems in my…read morecondo. Under normal conditions this probably wouldn't have stressed me out that much, but I was going to Houston for work a few days later (for 5 weeks, I might add). I already had a lot of stuff to get done and I was able to live with the problem with the help of a few cleverly placed extension cords. Once I got to Houston the reality set in that this is a problem I can't solve by ignoring it. Well, that's how my father explained it to me on one of his visits to check my mail. At first he went along with my vague time line of ways to fix the problem. I think around Week 3 he decided to contact an electrician (I SWEAR I was going to do that, by the way). My father met the electrician at my condo on a Sunday. Yes, he came out to help on a Sunday, quickly diagnosed the problem, and went to Home Depot the same day to purchase parts. In case you were interested, half of the fuse at my meter outside shorted out and was causing me to experience a constant brown out. It ended up costing $350, which I think is pretty fair considering it was the weekend and he had to replace items that were part of a large meter bank. Thanks to Augustus, a hardworking and honest electrician, I was able to return to a fully functioning home. I appreciate you.

Totally professional, prompt service, and fair prices. This is our electrician from now on. We…read morehighly recommend Whitaker Electric.
