We always make it a tradition to head up to Green Bluff in the fall, and this time, we decided to stop at High Country Orchard. I had heard great things about their sandwiches and had to try them out. It was pretty busy when we arrived on the weekend, but the line moved quickly, and we got our order in without much of a wait. We ordered a ham and cheese, a Reuben, and a grilled cheese with tomato soup. The kids got an apple cider slushy, which they loved, and I went for the traditional Apple cider. I would have loved to try their amazing chai, but it was too hot today (I prefer my chai tea hot). They couldn't make the pumpkin donuts fast enough because it was busy. They were delicious After we finished our meal, we had a great time browsing around inside the cute little shop, and then we went outside because there were a couple of local vendors. The kids had fun with the animals in the back and the played on the large slide. It was a really fun day out I love the family vibe here. Got my daughters first Santa pictures done here 2 weeks ago, started calling a week after (giving them time to send them) and told them I never received them. I ended up calling 3X leaving my number & e-mail in case it was spelt wrong. Was told by Angela or Angie I would hear from them a couple days ago and nothing. So now my daughter's first Christmas and I have no Santa photos to show. Nor a refund... don't waste your time here. read more

What's going on Out here is great. Great family spot for picking, shopping, gifts, and eating. They have a great event barn too! There is a woman's clothing corner that has a great Country (almost Double D) selection (without the price) , you won't be disappointed pointed. There are hard to find items and a baby gift shop upstairs. Try the Mimosa flight! And sit outside on their covered patio. Somehow they attract a family crowd where you feel at home and can just relax. Your kids (grandkids) can roam around and without you having to helicopter. Erin and family are really making this the neighborhood spot. While I think the Cow Train price is a bit steep in price ($5), I love what's going on here. Don't be surprised if one of Erin's 6-kids help you out! It's a family affair. The staff is great...Sarah helped me find just the right Western hat. The vibe here is comforting without being pushy. Very delicious meal! We got the Reuben, chicken BLT, a waffle sandwich and pie! The sandwiches were amazing, super flavorful. The chicken being my favorite. The triple berry pie was also great. The shop was a little confusing to navigate, and the regular latte I got was mid, but they were very nice and gave me an extra slice of pie. Also, their mochas and chai are wayyy superior to the lattes. Recommend those! read more

Came to High Country Orchard for a snack while spending a day in Green Bluff visiting farms, listening to live music, and picking fruits. They have a very large two-story gift shop full of farm paraphernalia. If you love aprons, kitchen towels, and signs with motivational quotes this is your mecca. In front of the shop they sell the fruits and vegetables they have for the current season. This property looks like a children's paradise because they have a playground with swings, petting zoo, and kiddy cow train ride. However we saw only a couple of toddlers taking advantage of the amenities. On the main floor they have the High Country Bistro which sells espresso drinks, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and housemade desserts. Once you order at the counter there is a plethora of outdoor seating to choose from and someone will bring you your order. Hubs and I got iced coffee and the bistro special of the day which was a southwest salad. They were made to order and the ingredients were fresh, I just regret not asking for the dressing on the side because it was more than I needed. High Country was a nice shady break on a hot Green Bluff day. read more

This is a charming orchard in Green Bluff. They have a store, coffee stand, fruit stand, barn, small playground area and some lovely animals on site. The store carry some unique handmade artworks, clothings, lotions, candles and toys, though some are overpriced but pretty interesting to look around. I have to minus a star since some indoor staffs on site did not wear masks and did not enforce the mask rules on customers when the state mandate is in progress. read more

While visiting my sister in Medical Lake, she decided to take my bestie and I to the farms. Unbeknownst to us, it was the weekend of the Harvest Festival. Parking lots were packed leaving only haphazard street parking on the narrow roads. This orchard offers a large gift shop, deli and a limited amount of produce. During our visit, the shop was jam packed so it was hard to maneuver let alone look at anything. The two bathrooms on-site were closed due to cleaning (during prime hours?). There was one out-house outside available. The fresh produce located indoors in the refrigerator section was frozen due to incorrect refrigeration settings. The iPad register kept freezing, resulting in an even longer line and wait time for purchases. An ATM is on-site to avoid waiting for temperamental technology. Overall, I know that I would enjoy this farm in the future, we just came on the wrong weekend. read more

I love heading up to Green Bluff in the summer or fall for fruit picking and hanging out with friends and family! Personally, I like the atmosphere, the shops, and the cider, more than I love the food; but the whole experience is a lot of fun! The sandwiches from the cafe are yummy, as are the pumpkin donuts, but the carrot cake wasn't my favorite. However, the real star of the culinary scene was the apple cider sold all over at Green Bluff in the fall. It is made from their fresh apples and it is scrumptious! read more

Super cheap place for cherry picking! Me and my friend picked a decent amount of cherries and It only costed less than 5 dollars. Whatttt? If we got these at Costco, it would've been easy 10 dollars. Try to go early July or even earlier though because a lot of cherries seem a bit dried and was in sun for too long they were too riped. But overall, they taste amazing! I am really glad I got to experience this place and I will definitely come back! Oh, and they also do sell coffee (affogato), lemonade, food (pasta, hot dogs, etc) and local produce food and a lot of gift shop items. So definitely try this place out! read more

For years I come here all the time, year-round. Though I believe they close after the Christmas season until the Spring. The most perfect part about High Country is that there is something for everyone here. The best food in Green Bluff hands-down, an espresso bar, huckleberry mimosas, pies, pumpkin donuts and baked goods, a couple beers on tap, fresh produce, even ice cream. There is seasonal fruit picking, and if you time it right you can sit beneath a canvas of cherry trees. Somehow there remains a small homey feel here, High Country hasn't lost it's charm (don't be in a rush for your food though). What you will find here is always surprising, always something new to stumble upon. Mini-golf, farm animals, craft/artisan tents, the playground, a scheduled wine tasting night for the girls. We bring guests every time, once we wandered around out in the trees in silence he was entranced by how peaceful it is. Another time my guest was so consumed with the preserves and decorations for sale that I couldn't get her out of the store. And another guest couldn't get over the food and kept wanting to come back for lunch. read more

We came back today to High Country Orchards to see if anything had changed since the last time we came and the service was so poor. This one tops it. We ordered 2 polish sausages, a huckleberry pie among other things around 1:45pm. They brought out one polish around 2pm which I thought was weird so I told my husband to go check with the cashier that she rung us for 2. "It'll be right out." he was told. After asking a couple more times, one lady told us at 2:30pm we didn't pay for two polish sausages. If a mistake were made when the order was rung, it could have been easily rectified by letting us know the first time we inquired about the order. We have High Country Orchard another chance, and I ended up not having food, again. We will never go back to this place and will take our business to Siemers or Beck's harvest house. At least they treat their customers well, remember repeat customers, actually deliver the order in a timely manner, and correct any mistakes quickly. Made a visit 3 weeks ago for pumpkin donuts that were DIVINE. Came back today with some friends for a repeat of donuts and decided to get some food and drinks too. The donuts were completely flat and crunchy - not what we had last time and a tota disappointment. The panini and German dog we ordered were some of the most disgusting things we have ever had - we threw it all away after a few bites. I've eaten better cafeteria food in elementary school. I hate talking badly about a place, but save yourself the money and don't get food here. read more

Word of warning, if you are not a traditional couple they will tell you so. They claim no discrimination, that they will take your money for services, however they do not believe they can provide any "requests" if you are LGBTQ+. If they have time to preach to paying customers that they don't believe in anything other than a man and a woman getting married then they have time to reconsider how they treat other human beings. read more

Cute little country store in Green Bluff. Food is good (if a little overpriced), the grounds are relaxed, and the store sells little country knickknacks. So why only two stars? Because they have an employee who walks around with an open-carry side-arm strapped to his hip. Was in there a few days ago with some friends to grab lunch, and while I was ordering my wrap, a young man waltzes up to the register with his gun at his side. Let me tell you. Nothing quite says "welcome to our cute little country store" like an employee with a pistol strapped to his hip for all to see. "Hi! Would you like to try one of our freshly baked scones? (P.S. Don't f&*! with me.)" I mean, I get it. The 2nd amendment. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. Talk about tone-deaf. Put away the gun and I'll be back. read more

We were told this place was cute, and they were right! The antique-y shop with knickknacks was adorable and everything was reasonably priced - there's definitely something for everyone in here! We specifically came for lunch, though, and it didn't take long for my husband and I to decide on our order. He opted for the German Dog, with sauerkraut and onions. I ordered the Reuben Panini, with a huckleberry lemonade to drink. We sat outside and awaited our meal, and enjoyed the scenery. Both dishes came out with French fries, which was a surprise since it didn't mention sides on the menu. They were so good! My Reuben was also fantastic, with thinly sliced corned beef and melty cheese. My husband also really liked his German dog! If we were locals we'd probably stop by for lunch all the time. This place is always very busy during the peak fall season. They have a plethora of home decor, kitchen accents and utensils, home furnishings, as well as produce and even food. This last time we went for food after getting a Christmas Tree (not from here, but they also do Christmas Trees and Sleigh Rides). The food was pretty good. Nothing too exciting or out of this world but it warmed our bellies and filled us up for quite awhile. I must say their freshly baked brownies are HUGE and DELICIOUS. Chewy, gooey, decadent, and just amazing. Overall, the service isn't bad behind the food counter, but nothing insanely awesome by way of customer service. The gal behind the counter seemed a bit stressed out or peeved to be there and overall that day was half as busy as I have seen it during peak season. One of our soups also came out cold and we asked for another gal to reheat it which she was fine to do but also seemed a bit stressed out. The other gal walking around helping with their merchandise sales was very friendly. I think just the younger girls were perhaps a bit overwhelmed. I don't take instances like this too seriously because people can have off days - overall, I've enjoyed looking through this store and it is good to know I can find a place on the Bluff to have decent food to enjoy while perusing the farms. read more

Would not recommend the "Barnyard Pass." There is playground equipment without it and the animals (couple donkeys, goats, geese) can be seen without going in. There was actually no one staffing the play area, so you probably don't have to pay to go into the weedy, sun baked field with run down minigolf, hay maze, frisbee golf, etc. We should have checked it out before paying, and they even charged us for our 6 month old and overcharged us for including the "train" ride (just a tractor pulling some cow-painted carts.) Fortunately when I later complained they gave me a partial refund. I guess after some of the apple orchards/pumpkins I have been to before with play areas, this was just really disappointing. I guess if you go when there is fruit to pick or if you are willing to shell out the cash for the pricey but delicious looking food, it would be a decent place to visit. There was a nice live singer on the patio doing 1940s big band versions of "Stacy's Mom" and "Sweet Child of Mine." But there were a lot of bees (good for the fruit trees I guess). read more

We stopped by while out for a drive on Mother's Day to get a bite to eat. Not one single employee was wearing a mask and most of the customers were not wearing masks. We should have left right away but there was nothing else open up that way. After ordering and paying for our food we went outside to find a table. All the tables were filthy! About half of the table had white table cloths which obviously had not been changed all day! The other tables had a heavy layer of dust and bird poop on them. We had already paid for our food at this point so ended up staying..... We tried to find the "cleanest" table to sit at. One table had dirty dishes piled up on it that no one ever picked up while we were there. Our food was ok but nothing special. Stopped in to High Country Orchard today as part of my Greenbluff morning. This was a great place to visit, especially as it was raining, and they have a nice indoor eating area. They also have a super nice bathroom! They have one of the most extensive gift shops at Greenbluff, so if funky shabby chic signs are your jam, this is a must stop. They also made a really nice lunch stop. I ordered the Turkey Panini (with Swiss and Dijon) and it came with great crispy fries and fresh apple slices. Love! We booked a horse drawn sleigh ride here to get our Christmas tree! It was amazing. Then back to the orchard for a home cooked lunch. The food was great and the kids love it. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very cool. The only thing to watch out for is there is limited table space u less the weather is nice. Also they have two big dogs that roam free. Which our kids love, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I love it here. This will become a Christmas tradition for us! Highly recommend. read more

It was crazy busy, I understand the stress level can rise from being a former retail worker. However, one employee was EXTREMELY rude. She slammed my credit card, pen and recite on the counter. I then asked where exactly I should wait for food, since we were all crowed there waiting for our orders. The employee pointed with out even looking up from ringing up the next customer behind me. She had dark brown hair in a half up/half down ponytail, and brown eyes. Not much of a description but if you meet her, you will know. She was helping to run the food cashier. I am really disappointed that I had this experience with this worker. The rest of the employees where awesome and kept thanking us for our patience. My family and I have been going to this orchard for many years. It is our favorite fall tradition. It's a bummer that that girl ruined it for us this year. Do better. read more

The Christmas tree experience was such a huge disappointment. It was a truly miserable time. The tractor took us to a Christmas tree farm... then they forgot we were out there, and the tractor ride left without us even knowing they had come back. We waited a half hour, and couldn't get a phone call through to the farm. My husband ended up walking back to the farm to tell them, while we waited in the dark. My kids were freezing, and my littlest cried the entire wait. By the time we got back, the heaters and fire had been turned off in the outside eating area. They turned them back on when we mentioned it, but we were done at this point, and just wanted to not order the food that came with the experience, and asked for a refund. The manager called the owner, and he argued on the phone with me that it was somehow on us that we were left. The owner was frustrated at us, refused the full refund, and we were only able to get $24 back on a $70 "experience". I can't even believe they wouldn't refund us, when they stranded us out there. So we spent $50 to show up at the farm, and be forgotten in the lot. If they had refunded our money, with a genuine apology that wasn't shrouded in irritation at us (when it was on them to make sure they pick up all the families they bring to the lot ), I would not have left a bad review. I understand mistakes happen. But we should have received a full refund. It was a 2020 Christmas tree moment for sure. Hopefully others have a better experience, but my kids were really bummed. With everything how it is this year, we were hoping to give them a magical time, but there was no magic. read more

My husband and I love this place. We enjoy the food, the activities and the atmosphere. If I had one suggestion, it would be to have an outdoor cashier for things like pumpkins and produce. The store is crazy crowded and the lines get long. If they could streamline that a little better, I would gladly give it five stars. We got hung up in line behind a group purchasing clothing that was missing a tag. All we wanted was our mini pumpkins, pears and apples that were already bagged and priced. Ugh! read more
