We were visiting from California and we were going into shops on Sherman. We stopped in this gift shop. Oh it's so cute and everybody was so helpful. They had different sections, example military, with glasses and other things, chicken section with hand towels and ceramics and lots more sections. They gift wrap which was nice. SUCH cute stuff. If I didn't have to fit everything in a suitcase, I would have emptied my bank account here! They had really awesome and small custom made candles with a CDA special scent which I absolutely couldn't pass up and a heart bracelet that now lives on my arm stack. Everywhere you turn there is something unique and perfect. Plus, the staff is SO kind it's just the place you feel great about buying from! Down the street is their more upscale home store. As others have said, this is a great store to shop and spend your money. They're friendly, helpful and know their products. The inventory consists of home decor, gifts, jewelry, candles etc. A lot you could find elsewhere, but the great customer service keeps my friends, family and myself coming back. Good customer service is hard to find in some stores. I live in Carmichael California and my best friend lives in Spokane. On my first visit there she took me to a store called "Mix It Up" in Coeur d' Alene, ID. I loved the candles that I bought there & how they fraggrant they were. I bought a dozen or more. Every time I go to Spokane to visit, we make it a point to go to "Mix It Up" to buy more candles... on my last trip about a month ago, I purchased my usual dozen & for some weird reason, 4 of them would not stay lit up, the flame constantly went out. I called the store and spoke to the manager, "Mary" she was very understanding, professional, & friendly. She apologized & promptly mailed me 4 new replacements. I love the store & I highly recommend it. The customer service is amazing. The candles are a great value & smell so good as they are burning. Highly recommended. This is hands down the best gift and home decor store on Sherman. There were so many adorable finds and gifts. I could have spent hours in there looking at everything they had. I heard another woman say the same thing as I was browsing. They have everything from candles to home decor to unique gifts to purses. Literally the cutest shop, with something for everyone! Went in there to pick up a gift for my baby and the staff was above and beyond sweet, we felt very welcomed. Found a cute fox warmies for baby's birthday and a book for myself:) They also have these really fun fish pitchers that Gurgle when you poor them! read more

This store is so much fun! It is one of my go-to places, for special occasion gifts, for friends or family. On several separate instances, I have dashed into Mix It Up, with my baby in tow, in a hurry, but still able to find a wonderfully thoughtful gift, that the ladies always wrap up beautifully for me, free of charge. My daughter and I walked in to this establishment but I was far enough behind my daughter so that it appeared that she was going inside alone. I saw how my daughter was treated by the cashier after she said "Hello" and it wasn't very kind. The woman gave my daughter a snotty look as she said "Hi" back and then looked her up and down. This cashier was a tall woman with shoulder length blond hair and in her mid twenties. She wore very heavy make-up. My daughter is a very attractive woman who needs no make-up so I am assuming that she was treated this way because of jealousy (?) because there was obviously no other reason to be treated like that without a reason. As soon as we noticed this, we emediatly turned around and left. I would not recommend going in to 'Mix It Up' unless you want to be treated cruely and need a reason to take your own life. read more

Very expensive for items offered. I have seen many of the items sold in various catalogs. Sales associate was annoying.

I just found this place and am thrilled to the core. Everything was fabulous and the young clerk was so helpful. As soon as I had two items in my hand she offered to take them to the counter and start wrapping them....Quite a few items ended up on that counter and in their cute bags...I could have spent much more but finances, you know! Christmas gifts - not run of the mill ones either! GREAT place. read more

I went to this store with my cousin. He decided to buy some of the soaps, and we continued to browse while he was holding them. The lady at the front counter rudely interrupted us mid conversation, in the middle of the store away from the counter, to quite literally rip the soaps out of my cousins' hand and tell us rudely that she would wrap them up at the front counter. She gave us the dirtiest looks. Because of this treatment we wanted to cut our visit short and leave, but did decide to still buy the soap since my cousin was so in love with them. I would absolutely never go back to this establishment. read more
