One time I was standing 5' away when a wine seller/or distributor and an employer/owner (older woman with gray hair) were discussing wine placement on a shelf, they were discussing which sells best where etc., When the wine representative or employee suggested based on price vs.taste vs sales a specific shelf for better overall sale's, the employee/owner stated "I don't have sophisticated customers, they won't notice the difference anyway." Hello? I'm a customer sophisticated or not I'd appreciate not being called uncouth while in the shop to spend my money. This was the last time I entered this establishment, which is a shame I had my eyes on 3 wall sconces I was going to purchase. Between the lack of acknowledgement by employees/owner, the total silence (no music or anything) in the background and the uncomfortable feeling of shopping in total silence added to the fact customers are considered unsophisticated I'd personally shop elsewhere. Afterall, I'm sure they don't need unsophisticated money!
