Gym equipment: with the new remodel, there are more stair masters (yay) the cardio machines are plenty. TRX straps are available for use. The weights only go up to 100 on dumbbells, and there isn't a free form squat rack, just a smith machine. Usually people are waiting on the 10-30lb dumbbells because there are only a couple sets of each (most people are polite and do not keep them if they're not using them). Space: there is a whole section for a 30 minute full body workout. It comes in handy when you're in a hurry or if you're someone who doesn't know what workouts to do. There's a small area for the trx, battle ropes, pull ups, etc. There is an even smaller area for stretching, yoga, and using bosu balls. Tanning: the beds have a slight wait during rush hours but it's not too bad. Definitely level 1 tanning, but it works and they do change bulbs. There are 2 stand up beds that usually have a wait on them. My only complaints: tanning beds are surface clean, but have lots of things trapped under the glass making some appear dirty, radios in the beds don't change station and not all of them work, and there is no room with mirrors for practicing yoga technique, stretching, workouts without all the big equipment, etc like you see in other gyms. Overall it's with the cheap black card membership to have all the perks. The massage beds are a cool way to warm up sore muscles before a workout. Or just come on your day off as part of a self care routine.

He listens so well and responds incredibly well to positive reinforcement. We're also so glad he had the opportunity to socialize with other dogs during training. The Gentle Leader has been an absolute game changer on walks, and we're so grateful Lisa introduced us to it. Walks have gone from something I was previously anxious about to one of the best parts of our day. As a first-time dog owner, I needed just as much training as Bennett. Lisa's one-on-one lessons have given me so much confidence, and I truly feel like she's helping Bennett become an amazing addition to our family. I can't recommend her enough.

I then fell in August of 2020 and several other times at home and finally in April of 2021 it was discovered that I had broken part of the prosthetic and had to undergo another surgery to have it repaired. After having this done I was referred to them by someone that was very satisfied with the services they received from Athletico Physical Therapy. I had undergone the rehab portion before and was not looking forward to it. I knew that it would be hard work to get back my range of motion, strength and flexibility. I am still a patient and Alyssa is absolutely professional, friendly, thorough and efficient. She consistently asks how I am and how things are going, provides me with feedback and an updated home exercise program. I like to swim so she even assisted with giving me exercises that I do at the pool for part of my home program. Maybe it's a free enrollment fee or free gloves or whatever... If you sign a contract that is mostly written in fine print you, you can't say you weren't warned. Yes, the actual contract is actually written mostly in actual small font. You will find that there aren't enough classes at times when you would want to go and you wont really care for half of the trainers. Or your hands will hurt or whatever... So you want to cancel your contract. Can't! You can pay full price for the remainder of the contract, which is paying for a service you don't want and don't get. What a shame that the big name gym industry is the only place where you can't pay a small penalty to get out of a contract, except for like a house or car loan. (There are good locally owned month-to-month gyms in the area if that's more your thing or budget). Especially when you aren't happy with the product or service. Even AT&T will let you out with a penalty less than 100%! They may offer for you to pay more money to extend the contract that you are not using, but that's up to you to pay more for not using?.?.?... We're visiting KC over the July 4th weekend, and gosh, it's hot. This place was a perfect holiday…read moreway to cool off, because it has such large pools, and is clean and friendly. (Okay, the changing rooms/restrooms are a little public-park grungy, but not bad. And they have a series of private, roomy ones, so you can dress your kids in there.) It was $8 to get in, which I think is higher than what they charge locals, but I felt it was worth it. The slides were great for my husband, who's not so interested in plain swimming, but loves a bit of adventure, and the giant pools were great for me, a lap swimmer. It was crowded, and the lifeguards were not keeping idlers out of the lap-swim lanes, but there was enough space that it wasn't too hard to eke out a reasonably clear path for laps in spite of it. There were lounge chairs all over, and a lawn for the overflow. There weren't as many shady spots as I expected, but I spent most of the time in the water, where the temperature was perfect: cooling, but not so cold that the transition is a shock. I found the giant water slides a little scary, but I managed to try each of them once, and survived. The straight one is far faster, fyi. There's also a diving pool. If it's been a while since you've dived off a board, I suggest trying a dive off the edge before graduating to the diving board, which I regret not doing. I'm not sure if this is just a July 4th thing or if they always do it, but they played upbeat pop songs the whole time (not too loudly, but enough to be festive), and sent us off with a series of patriotic tunes at closing.
