Then I was persuaded to provide my insurance saying it would be cheaper or if it wasn't they would change me back to self pay special $49 ONLY. Now today they send another bill for $45 and when I provide my secondary insurance, they say they aren't contracted and charge my card without my permission. I should have known it was a gimmick, especially after them texting and asking me to go against my doctors advice.

I received a bill for $71.23 from DJO directly for their L1820 DRYTEX ECON, HINGED KNEE brace. Per the Dr. at urgent care, I went to Sano on 3/25/25, by then the swelling had gone done considerably, and the size large brace was too big. I saw Brian McCormick, he looked at the knee and gave me an injection of Tramcinolone Acetonide 10 mg 4 units billed at $120.00 and $124.00 for the injection. They provided a size medium DJO L1833 DRYTEX Hinged knee brace BILLED AT $995.00. A 900% MARKUP. What a ripoff. This is almost the same knee brace I was only billed $71. My insurance rejected the knee brace because it wasn't pre-approved, and it won't apply to my deductible. They demand a credit card number when you fill out the paperwork, so I can't even hold payment. I will not be using them in the future.

I then fell in August of 2020 and several other times at home and finally in April of 2021 it was discovered that I had broken part of the prosthetic and had to undergo another surgery to have it repaired. After having this done I was referred to them by someone that was very satisfied with the services they received from Athletico Physical Therapy. I had undergone the rehab portion before and was not looking forward to it. I knew that it would be hard work to get back my range of motion, strength and flexibility. I am still a patient and Alyssa is absolutely professional, friendly, thorough and efficient. She consistently asks how I am and how things are going, provides me with feedback and an updated home exercise program. I like to swim so she even assisted with giving me exercises that I do at the pool for part of my home program. This has been a terrific experience with physical therapy, absolutely professional, friendly, thorough, efficient and the entire staff treats you and makes you feel like family.
