Contacted surgeon's office again to confirm referral was sent and it was and they re-sent it again. Still never received a call back. Left another voicemail and still didnt receive a call back. Kept trying to call to get a hold of them and finally did nearly 2 weeks later and all they said was that theyre busy. I get being busy but a simple call back to let us know it would be some time before they could get us in wouldve been very easy to do. Now I'm behind on my treatment plan and PT. If you need PT, either go to a different Athletico location or a different provider all together rather than this one

What's worse is that Athletico wouldn't give me an estimate up front and when I asked questions about bills was repeatedly told things like "it's usually less than that after we work with insurance" or "we're still working it out with insurance" or "we can talk about it next week when our billing guys is back." Bill reaches $1800 before I'm told I owe it all. Raise my frustrations and am told "that's how insurance works, sorry." It actually doesn't - there are other places that are up front with transparent pricing. Not sure is this place was trying to scam me or just incompetent. Tried to make a case for a discount or partial refund but neither the local office or Athletico headquarters would budge. Buyer beware: do you research before you commit to services here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and it cost me big time.

I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

I went to my appointment with the thought of removing the toenail, as per all the previous doctors I had shown it to - NP, PCP and even Dermatologists and he made me feel at ease and told me not to worry, and that we will work on it with his treatment (so practical and easy to follow) to eradicate the issue. Had a two month plan that would help me get corrected, somewhere between $700.00. I informed them I want to pay per visit whatever was remaining from insurance. The problem came when I went to cancel my appointments because of workers comp. I informed the front office I was canceling my future appointments because workers comp would be taking over and I need to see their doctors. After informing them they called and told me I had a $120.00 bill because of previous visits. I told them to send me a bill, never received a bill. Got a call about 3 weeks later telling me it was $220.00. I would of returned after being released for work but not now. Not after being treated like a money sign because of workers comp. I'd go elsewhere, shady practice.
