I had to force the issue of effectively treating the situation and it still took them 10 days before they bothered to do the correct treatment that should have been done on postop day 2. This borders on malpractice. Secondly, when I was asked, I told them that I expected to be walking without a cane after surgery. I had been forced to use a cane for about 5-6 years prior to surgery due to safety concerns and the need to preserve what I could of being able to use the knee. My expectation of being able to walk normally was completely ignored. Instead, when I tried to walk without the cane, I was told to keep using the cane. This continued throughout my entire time in rehab. Somehow they thought that using the cane was going to help me be able to walk without it. Even I don't think that's right!! This means that I couldn't really walk when they decided to dismiss me from their care. They didn't care about getting to the correct place; all they cared about was that I could stand and waddle around a little with the cane. That is not good rehabilitation. It is coming up on a year since my surgery and I still cannot walk normally because they never appropriately addressed the problems in my hips that were caused by the use of the cane. Basically they expected me to figure it out on my own. I am going to have to go to a different doctor (not one who is part owner of this facility) and a different PT place in order to get proper medical care. I find that disgusting. I will never recommend this PT facility to anyone. At this point I am unsure if I will ever be able to return to my sport. They do not care about performance. Do they even know what that word means? They only care about money.

I showed up a bit early and Sydney (my Occupational Therapist) was already there expecting me. She was very patient and helpful in finding the right one for me at the lowest possible cost. She also made sure I knew how to take the splint off. She also took time to explain how my injury was healing, so that I knew why I had to have the splint on 100% of the time over the next few weeks. The benefits coordinator (?) Sarah was also great, she had to stay on the phone with the insurance company while helping another patient check in as she came in. No one wishes to have to have PT or OT, but if you do, then SERC is the place to ensure a positive experience for you.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have been treated by Dr. Jadyn for a recent rotator cuff injury. She…read moresaw me the very next day after my pain started, which I truly believe helped get me on the road to recovery quickly. My range of motion was extremely limited initially, but with treatment, exercises, dry needling, and Jadyn's incredibly attentive care, I was off to a great start. After my first three visits, I continued my treatment with Dr. Lauren, and I cannot sing her praises enough! Lauren knows exactly when to push me just to the edge while still listening to my body, and she has helped me make such incredible progress. I still have some strengthening to do, but I honestly couldn't be happier with how I feel now compared with when this pain first began. One of the biggest things I'm grateful for is that I was able to start physical therapy immediately rather than spending weeks waiting for appointments, imaging, an orthopedic referral, and then ultimately a referral to PT.
