Unfortunately, my recent experience under the new ownership was extremely concerning. I scheduled an appointment to have a tire swapped and arrived at the agreed time, only to be told that their air compressor was broken and they could not perform the work. I was asked to reschedule, which I did. When I returned for the second appointment, they confirmed the compressor was working. An hour and half later I went back and I was again informed that the air compressor was not working and that they would be unable to complete the service, I said okay. At that point, I politely retrieved my keys from the front desk lady, and stated not to worry about it, and said that I did not wish to reschedule again as this was the second time. I then began walking back to my vehicle. As I was walking away, one of the employees, who was the front desk lady's husband, yelled, "Get the f*** out of here." During this time I wasn't sure if he was talking to me, leaving me shocked and confused. I turned around and asked what had happened. The employee then came out from the shop into the parking lot and aggressively approached me. He strongly signaled that he was about to commit a physical confrontation. During this encounter, the employee reached toward his rear waistband with his right hand. Based on the circumstances and his aggressive behavior, I feared that he might be reaching for a weapon and I retreated to my vehicle because I feared for my safety and believed physical harm could occur. When my friend and I began recording this incident, the employee returned back into the shop. Another individual then came outside (this individuals cousin) claiming to be the original owner and is Sal (he isn't). The repeated scheduling issues were fine, I get it things happen, overbooking whatever it is. But the aggressive and threatening behavior I experienced afterward was far more troubling especially coming from a business that just was taken over.

Then when I picked it up, I sounded like a junk yard beater vehicle!! 1 day later after they suggested I leave my car over night on their lift..... Sal (the owner) called the following morning & said my car is fixed and to come pick it up. After I paid the $1,100.00 repair cost & was handed my key, I started my car & a loud whining noise erupted. Sal's rude son, Anthony, ran over to cover it up & said: "Oh, & by the way, You need a new Power Steering Pump, & a Return Hose, 4 Wheel Bearings, & a Fly Wheel Cover"!! I clearly told him in front of my wife & in front of other customer's: "My car did not make this noise before I brought it to your repair shop"!! Anthony just rolled his eyes in disgust then Huffed & Puffed like an immature child, deflecting any blame. I said: "What took you so long to tell me this & how come your father, Sal, didn't know these problems when he took my money & handed me the receipt?" Anthony just rolled his eyes and went back in the shop. I went to another mechanic the next day. They said that the power steering pump was forcibly moved and the power steering hoses were crimped. This mechanic I brought my car to did an oil change on my car the week before. He said to me, "your car wasn't like this when you came to me for the oil change!!" I told him that I went to S & T in West Babylon. He knew of Anthony right away & said Anthony is a jerk-off & is known for doing shady business & to stay clear & away from his S & T Auto Care Service Center in West Babylon, NY!! I will never go back to that repair shop & advise others to do the same!!

I am going to attempt to make this as short as I can without being angry because I had a very bad…read moreexperience with this shop (several actually). This is an awful shop to bring your car to. It is the nightmare of mechanics. They are not honest. I was a long time customer at this shop with two different cars and it did not occur to me that they were damaging my car and not changing my oil (when I went in for a routine oil change). It took a string of events that caused me realize what was going on. First my car had been having a problem with it's headlights where the right low beam would turn off with a brand new bulb. I took the car into be fixed and was given a temp fix several times, but not explanation and never a permanent fix. I was having trouble starting my car. I took the car to the shop with a friend following me. They checked my car and told me my starter was going and to bring it back the following day. I specifically asked the owner if I could leave it that night since I had a ride home. He told me the car would be fine for another few days and to bring it back. It died that night in a parking lot. A different friend came out to try to help me get it started so that I could drop it off at the shop instead of having it towed. He was unable to get the car started but informed me that my oil (which had just been changed) was very dirty and had either not been done or done poorly. I wound up having to have the car towed costing me more money when I could have just left it there. While having the starter replaced they once again temp fixed my low beam. This time when I picked the car up I was informed that it was the last time they would be able to temp fix my low beam because my fuse box had melted. Suddenly, I was given an explanation. They appeared to not know why my fuse box would have melted. I purchased a new fuse box which was pretty expensive. I asked the shop if they could install it and bill me since I was a consistent customer and the fuse box had been expensive. It's also good to mention that whenever they needed a part for my car they had me pick it up from the dealership (even the dealership was bothered by that). Brakes Inc told me specifically that they just decided to no longer bill because of too many outstanding bills from other customers (convenient). This forced me to seek out another shop and a friends husband installed it for me since it was a plug in. He informed me that the reason my fuse box melted was because a second master power line had been installed. Why didn't Brakes Inc tell me this? Why didn't they fix this before it melted my fuse box? Bad service. My headlight problems continued and I had to seek a car electrician before finally bringing my car to the dealership. Turns out the second master power line was frying all of the wires in my harness. Fortunately for me it had only been affecting the headlights, but I did have to have all of the wiring replaced. Since changing mechanics, I have had no more major problems with my car. None. These guys either take advantage or they truly know nothing about auto repair. I leave this review where I can because they are so few reviews out there and if this happened to me, I am sure it's happening to other people. I wouldn't trust this company. I went there for years and I felt very betrayed by them.
