I honestly cannot complain enough about Mavis, specifically the Deer Park Avenue and Commack Road…read morelocations. And unfortunately, the biggest problem has been the Regional Manager. I had to visit these locations multiple times. I want to be fair and say the employees at Commack Road were great. They kept apologizing for what happened at the Deer Park Avenue location and were actually trying to help me. Everything was going fine until the Regional Manager got involved. This is the same Regional Manager who previously promised me he would handle the situation and sent me to the Commack Road location so I wouldn't have to deal with Deer Park Avenue anymore. While I was there, he ended up speaking to one of his employees on my phone. I was standing about two feet away from the employee. The phone wasn't on speaker, but I could clearly hear the Regional Manager talking. Then I heard him say, "Fuck this guy." Seriously? I'm standing right there, and this is how a Regional Manager chooses to talk about a customer who is already dealing with an ongoing issue? I don't care how frustrated you may be with a customer. You don't talk about them like that, especially when you're supposed to be the person responsible for resolving the situation. The employees at Commack Road were actually doing their best, and I have nothing bad to say about them. My problem is with the person who is supposed to be leading them. In my opinion, this Regional Manager needs to either be fired or seriously retrained on how to deal with customers and represent the company. After everything I've dealt with, hearing a Regional Manager say "Fuck this guy" while I'm standing two feet away was the final straw. Mavis really needs to do better.

It was a problem to cause this problem. I took their advise. They charged me $1,400. Then he talked to manager and gave me discount by lower $200. After replaced four tires, the tires presurres message did not disappear / go away. I went back several times to ask the same questions. They said I have to drive couple miles. It will disappear /off automatically. It did not work as what they said when I drove more that a miles. They could not able to slove this problem. I use google search, it should be able to reset with the "tires reset buttom". The do not know and they could not be able to fix the problem. It is my first experience with this problem. Finally, the guy replaced all tires telling me. it was because the pressure. He put more pressure on each tire. It did not work. He used the ipad to check this situation of my car. He said, this was a problem for the sensor of my tires. I must to replace three of them in order to get this message off. He said "he cannot fix it. He said I have to call the dealer to replace the tires sensors. I did not understand it, it was working fine and without any problem before replaced all four tires. I have feeling they broke all the tires' sensor of my car. Now, I have to call the dealer to replace the sensor for my car tomorrow. I was very sad for what they did. I lose the trust from them.

It is hard to find a mechanic you can actually trust, but Stacks is definitely one of the good ones…read morearound here. Brought my car in for some standard maintenance and a noise I was hearing in the front end, and they took care of it without trying to upsell me on a million things I didn't need. They gave me a straightforward breakdown of what was actually wrong and the pricing was very fair for the area. The guys at the desk are down-to-earth and don't give you the runaround. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that communication can be a little slow on busy days--it took them a bit longer than expected to call me back with the initial estimate. But the quality of the work is solid, the price was right, and they get the job done right the first time. Glad to have a reliable local shop right here in North Babylon. Will definitely use them again.

Sean was great to test my battery which was low and confirmed it was indeed my alternator and discussion took place to have it repaired on 01 02.26, all great and good. I asked for a pdf of my receipt and Ryan stated he emailed me the receipt and if I didn't get it to call back. I called back a few minutes later stating I did not get the receipt and "Tom" started yelling at me over the phone "I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS! I HAVE CALLS COMING IN! CALL BACK AT 5PM I AM BUSY! I AM HANGING UP! I was in shock how I was spoken to! So poorly, it's enough for me to reconsider going back there! Tom is in great need of training how to speak to customers because how I was spoken to, certainly is NOT how you speak to a customer. He was AWFUL! Attention TJ and Jake: Get Tom some training, won't you? Perhaps just get a new desk guy who knows the value of speaking to someone professionally! ...PM
