Ahh where do I begin! I was introduced to Nicole's reiki session through a yoga class I took where I was trying to help reduce my levels of anxiety. This was my first Reiki experience and I really got a lot out of it. I was open to the idea of Reiki but also a little skeptical if it would work on me, but decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. After my session I felt energized the rest of the day, it was a great feeling. I was not imagining it either, I felt awake and optimistic. Nicole is very positive and made me feel comfortable right away. She took some time in the beginning to explain everything. I was able to relax and our hour session seemed to fly by. Afterwards she gave me a copy of her session notes that described where she felt my energy was most in need of attention. For me it was my shoulders and knees. Nicole has pretty much kept our entire household in balance this past year (that we've had the pleasure of her distance healings on my family). I've had a Yelp account for years and this is my first review. I just knew I had to contribute to the Yelp community after meeting with Nicole because you guys need to know how amazing she is!! I went to see Nicole for my first Reiki experience the beginning of the month after a recommendation from a friend. I have been struggling with anxiety off and on the past few years and this year has been more of a struggle for me than normal. I had not been feeling myself and after hearing about Nicole I immediately jumped at the chance to contact her and schedule an appointment. I've always considered myself a spiritual person and was very open/curious to see what Reiki could do for me but at the same time nervous that I wouldn't feel any different or see any sort of result. My worries about Reiki went away after stepping into Nicole's office and meeting her. She has such a warm & welcoming personality mixed with immediate positive energy. I should have known based on our initial email communication but she is just such a joy in person!! I don't know how you could not even feel a little happier and better after interacting with Nicole. I did an hour session and I am happy to have chosen this as it took me a while to really be present and let go during our time. My appointment felt very personal and emotional and I loved how Nicole took her time to explain to me afterwards, what it is she did during the Reiki, what she was guided to work on and what she saw. I felt like everything she talked about really made sense to me. She would even tell me about images/scenes she saw that I had been thinking of during my session. I felt very comfortable talking with Nicole and she has a way of making you feel like you're in a very safe space. Afterwards, Nicole followed-up by sending over additional notes from my session. Since going I have already made another appointment to see her again! It's something unexplainable but I truly feel so much better, and more balanced after seeing Nicole. First, let me comment on Nicole Higashi as a person. Nicole is one of the most compassionate, caring, happy, optimistic, and energetic people you will ever meet. Being around Nicole is like being around warm light, radiant energy, and fresh air. When you meet her, you will know what I'm talking about. She is just a beautiful person from the inside out. My first encounter with Nicole was via a Reiki I Certification class. As a health practitioner with a "scientific" way of thinking (and a natural skepticism), I wasn't sure that I was ready to take a plunge into the unknown. But, I sincerely believe that I was led to Nicole by a gentle nudge from God, the universe, or whatever you may choose to call the supernatural force that's around you. Nicole was extremely patient with me, answering all of my questions via email. Her Reiki classes are extremely light hearted, easy going, insightful, and full of positive energy. There was no pressure at all, and everyone in the group was happy to be there. I am SO happy I took this FUN class! My next encounter with Nicole was as a patient/client. It's hard to explain, but I wasn't feeling like myself...kind of like I was feeling run down, in a rut, and not quite my true self. The Reiki healing session ended up being one of the most peaceful experiences I've ever been a part of. After the healing session, I felt lighter, happier, more energetic, "clearer", and significantly more at peace. In addition, I feel more well rested after sleep. Nicole is the real deal, my friends. Nicole is AMAZING! She is so patient and helpful, she does her reiki sessions and always follows up with great information and teaches you about everything you experience. She was able to do a reiki healing session on my husband, myself and our newborn son. We had a great time learning from her and having her help us on our journey. I have also been able to go to the reiki support group for new moms that she holds at Unfold Yoga OC and I feel so relaxed and balanced once that group healing session is complete. Call me an addict, but I've now gone to everything she offers! She has opened herself up to a dance reiki class and she teaches reiki classes too!!! She mixed fun music with beautiful, lyrical movements for a routine and then ended with group reiki - it was a beautiful day. I did not know anything about Reiki before Higashi Healing. After reading information about it and talking with Nicole, I decided to try it out. We decided that a distance healing would work best. Going into it I was a little skeptical as I always am with new things. I wasn't sure how a distance healing would actually work. I have to say I was blown away. I had been working on relaxation techniques prior to the Reiki session, so I decided to use them as I went through the distance healing. One of the techniques I used to relax was to focus on a color and a shape. When the healing session began, a green triangle popped into my head and became my focal point. As different thoughts, worries or stresses would come into my head, I focused on that. As I continued through the session, I felt an overwhelming sensation of peace and relaxation. After the session, Nicole gave me some feedback that was very insightful. She also commented that a heavenly light, that typically is white for people, surrounded me, but mine was green. Days after the healing session, I felt renewed, calm and ready to face my daily challenges.
