my 78-year-old spouse is here for the second time over a 6 year period, having been discharged from…read morethe larger, affiliated, local medical center and our own specialists, with a diagnosis that took well over a year to be determined. these people at RHSC are such true professionals, and understand what it means to be caregivers to people who so need to be on the mend. the place itself is wonderful, but the physical, occupational and speech therapists, nursing staff, assistants, doctors and really everyone here offer better care than i ever expected. and not just to us, but to another dear important friend who also sings their praises. the physical therapists and occupational therapists we've encountered here in his first week of this stay have been so warm and helpful, eclipsing any notion that this is just maintenance care. they explain, purposefully, EVERYTHING to us in real time, and push performance as much as is required. as a facility, the place also offers such solid advice on "when you go home" and we're expecting to be here for another couple of weeks or so. it's a hospital, so be prepared to bring in edible food yourself as desired (pending dietary strictures, of course), but that's the only place we've had any issues at all; small ones, to be certain, on the continuum of the pursuit of healing. (addendum; a week later) spouse spent an additional week here before being discharged, and the care remained constant at a wonderfully high level. we have high regard for caregivers for the work they do anyway, but to be in a hospital for two weeks and never have a caregiver wrinkle says a LOT about the ethic of care one can expect. so many lovely and beautifully-trained people, from nurses and nurses' aids to the case manager/social worker we were assigned, and the super-helpful pharmacists to the gentle but serious physical and occupational therapists, i was pleasantly surprised to be this pleased with a rehabilitation hospital experience. many patients there were physically far worse off than mine, but i observed that each received the same care and humanity that we did. we were even sent home with superb recommendations for ongoing care and caregivers we now have in place. an overall very positive healthcare experience when it was highly needed by both of us.

For all the days that I was there each staff member proved to be knowledgeable, professional, caring, and even had a sense of humor when appropriate. The medical director makes an appearance every day at the bedside. The occupational and physical therapy was on a level close to what many athletes have to go through- there was no sitting on your laurels. This is where you want to go if your goal is to get better and be as strong as you can- to finish recovery at home. This is the place you want to be. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a real gem in the desert to have a place like this. Even the food was good!

A little belated review: After a horrible experience for 1…read morenight at an another Rehab facility, came here and it was a breath of fresh air. Accommodations could not have been better and had a large private room. The staff there was top notch (aside from 1 or 2 exceptions, as anywhere) and took excellent care of me. The Nurses, especially Geraldine and Leslie were outstanding, as well as the CNA's, especially Michael, Cheyanne and Jennifer. Other staff were excellent as well. The administrative staff were all very helpful, especially Renae and Glenora. A special THANKS to the PT & OT staff who helped me immensely to get stronger and ready for discharge home: Tim, Alex and Michael were especially helpful as well as the other staff. Sorry if I left anyone out (in any category) but couldn't remember everyone's name. I would highly recommend going here if a Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility was being considered.

She was transfered with her records. Staff at Rancho acted like they did not have them. I Left messages every day for 3 days to speak with the Dr . he never returned my calls, Called nurses desk half the time no answer. 1 out of 4 times some one returns my calls. less then half the time did some one have update on her present condition.. conflicting information. she had theropy , she did not have theropy because of COVD in building Never recomendj

I entered for my opioid dependence and found the residential accommodations to be nice and adequate. This is not a luxury facility, but it is on a beautiful, lush, campus surrounded by gorgeous mountains. The cafeteria serves a variety of healthy and not so healthy foods, but there is a fresh salad bar that changes daily. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable and I have learned so much about my addiction. Everyone here is genuinely nice caring, and very knowledgeable. There is also a fantastic nursing staff for your medical needs. Not only do they meet your needs in residential, but they also provide Sober living facilities that are quite nice as well as PHP and IOP. I would ignore any negative reviews and see for yourself. I have experienced one other rehab and another outpatient IOP, but this place is above anything I have previously gone to. I know I will not ever go back to alcohol and drugs and I owe my life to this wonderful facility.

I don't say this lightly--Joshua Smith has changed my life…read more After completing 30 days of residential treatment at Hazelden Betty Ford, I entered the PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and was assigned to Joshua as my counselor. I am now on my 30th day of PHP, and I can confidently say that the work we've done together has transformed me on every level--emotionally, spiritually, relationally, and personally. Because of Joshua, I don't just understand what recovery looks like--I know how to live it. He's helped me build a foundation rooted in honesty, integrity, and purpose. His guidance, presence, and challenge have allowed me to confront the things I've avoided for years and step into a version of myself I never thought possible. Because of Joshua, my relationships have begun to heal. My connection with my wife has improved. My ability to show up for my kids has grown. I'm more present for my family, friends, and coworkers--and I'm finally able to live with emotional availability and clarity. But most of all, because of Joshua, my future is no longer something I fear or avoid. It's something I look forward to--bright, beautiful, and filled with possibility. I will forever be grateful for his care, his professionalism, and his wisdom. If you have the chance to work with Joshua Smith, know that you're in the hands of someone who doesn't just do this work--he lives it. And he changes lives because of it. --Chris Klein Alumni, Hazelden Betty Ford Residential + PHP Programs
