Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful young woman by the name of Helaina when I…read moretreated my fiance to a mani/pedi and myself to a pedi. We laughed and enjoyed chatting while she took her time pampering us. We enjoyed the exceptional massage chairs as we relaxed. We were extremely pleased with our experience and left more than satisfied. Unfortunately the next day my fiancé's nail polish was all but gone by the afternoon. Not chIpped but gone! She has never had this happen and we were shocked for what I had paid. We reached out via fb pm to the salon who almost immediately responded with utmost apology and offer for us to come in at our convenience to have her nails redone. We were heading home out of the area and they told us to come in anytime. We returned today when Helaina took her time to re-do both fingernail and toenail polish. She was so apologetic and had realized after we had called that the base coat she had originally used had been bad. We hope 2nd time is the charm because Lisa's nails look great and we really enjoyed discovering this off the beaten path, elegant, very busy full service gem of a salon full of friendly professionals to be pampered at.

I left with hair colors from orange to white, blotches from bleach, & straight unblended lines in my hair. Had to go to Sally's & let my 15yr sister fix it (she did a better job). I asked for a refund and was ignored, after texting again I was told no & Kristy said she'd fix it for free but I already had it fixed and even if it wasn't I wouldn't have trusted or been comfortable with her trying again just for it to be worse than before and damaged. I then was ignored once again by Kristy. This was supposed to be a balayage.

Butterflies, organic skin care, and positive energy all meld together beautifully to create Monarch…read moreEssentials. I first discovered Monarch Essentials at the Twain Harte Farmer's Market this past Thursday. Their magical butterfly display, gracefully hung behind their lovely booth enticed me over. I was thrilled to learn that most of their healing herbs are organically grown on site, wildcrafted and/or obtained from local suppliers within the local Sierra Nevada foothills. Each of their products is graced with a colorful monarch and is made with an abundance of care. From natural sunscreen, to organic awakening face spritzes, to bug spray, to hand salve and much more - the owners have curated an impressive array of healing products that will help protect you against nature (sun, bug bites etc) - while also healing your skin with nature's glorious bounty. I picked up some Gardener's Hand Salve that has proved to be incredible for my chapped hands. It is full of powerful herbs like yarrow, calendula, plantain, comfrey, arnica and more. The owners packaged it in a vibrant butterfly bag and reminded me - with kind genuine smiles - how some of the proceeds of my purchase go towards the preservation of monarch butterflies. Yay. Monarch Essentials is one of my new favorite discoveries. I can't wait to stock up on more of their fantastic products soon. Trust.
