INFO: This place is called Hidden Dimsum now The food in this place? Excellent. I won't deny it, but why three stars? 1. There is no order list where you can order down your dimsum, to keep track how much you order, because you obviously order more than just one or two dishes when you're ordering dimsum. When I asked for a list, they said they had none but they could give me a post it to write it down. What? 2. The menu is short and simple, I suppose it's made for dimsum newbies, which is good. The more people into dimsum, the better, but not a whole lot option. 3. Skimping on soya and chili sauce is almost unacceptable (especially in Chinese/Asian restaurants). Really? Just put the damn bottles/containers on the table. 4. No foreign cards accepted. Well, I guess Mastercard and Visa should work worldwide? No? Apparently not I get it, they want to introduce dimsum to whole other kind of crowd, those who probably would feel intimidated in an old-fashioned Chinese restaurants, but it just feel odd for me to be in this place. Almost like dimsum place for westerners not that there's anything wrong with that. But I will stick to the other (more authentic) places

From the previous reviews, this restaurant might of been a Japanese restaurant before, but when I came in early June 2016, it is now converted to a Chinese dim sum place (maybe at least in the afternoon). Came here with my cousin and my parents because my parents were craving for dim sum (they have it once a week in Toronto!!). Taste of Fortune is located beside an old prison and a government building, a very nice square with great views. The decoration of this restaurant is very clean, mainly white and somewhat modern. Dim Sum wise, they have a lot of varieties, but they are all around 45 Dannish krone per dish, and if you do the math, that's $9 Canadian per dish! And you are talking about a dim sum with 4 siu mai or 4 hai gao, that is MAD expensive! Despite the price, their dim sum were very hot (made on the spot) and tasted decent, but I still don't see how it justifies the extremely high price, hence, 3 stars only.

Randomly walked in here asking for a good Chinese hotpot place recommendation. The waitress said "this is it, you've found it". So we decided to give it a shot, having a dinner here tonight. Nonetheless, this night became by far the worst dinner scam I ever had in my lifetime. We had a table for 4, and as usual, we sat down pondering what to eat. However, the waitress went on to set up a meal plan for us, ordering a good amount of veggies and meats with some drinks, with which we were ok at first. Since we are a big fan of seafood, we had also ordered some (particularly 12 oysters, some fish/shrimps). Let's leave the nasty foods aside for a moment. When we called for the bill at the very end, the waitress (whose service had been terribly sloppy and disrespectful throughout the entire night) simply handed us a paper, saying kr. 3500, which was equivalent to about $520 USD. We then asked for the further pricing breakdown for the sake of clarification, she walked back to the register, discussing with the so-called owner. After a while, what we saw was another piece of paper, stating what we've had AND interestingly, what we have NOT HAD. Can your believe a piece of tofu costs us kr. 169??? These people are complete scumbags, making up all of their wishful numbers on our check. They even mentioned 4% credit card processing fee that is required across the entire country of Denmark without any basis. We were obviously very unhappy about this type of fuzzy explanation; they even said to us literally "you guys should not have come out for the dinner if you cannot afford one". We were simply stunned by what they said!!!!! I here strongly advise no one to even step into this damn restaurant door. This has been a complete hell of a dining experience and I feel disgusted by the way they try to cheat on their customers like this!

Authentic dim sum. Tastes like China. if you want to eat Chinese food in Copenhagen this the place. I agree that if the cook Chinese order the chef's speciality, not a foreign cuisine.

It was a cold and windy Copenhagen day and we needed the comfort food and a warm place to eat dinner after a long day of sightseeing. We ordered the beef with housemade rice noodles, the sizzling chicken with veggies, and the beef fried noodles with veggies, along with the chicken hot and sour soup. EVERYTHING was delicious. The food ingredients were high quality and fresh and every dish was perfectly seasoned (just needed a little salt or soy sauce to taste). Then we shared the fried banana with ice cream for dessert! It was an absolutely wonderful way to end our meal. More great flavors. The waitstaff was kind, welcoming and accommodating. We didn't have reservations, but we were still able to easily get a table on a Sunday night at 7:00. The restaurant was filled with happy diners of couples, friends and families. And it's a very pretty and very comfortable place to relax and have a wonderful meal. We would certainly return and would highly recommend the Royal Garden. AND they have a huge dim sum menu for those looking for dim sum!

My intent was to avail myself of all of the local Scandinavian food specialties to immerse myself in the culture of it all. On night 2, I couldn't take another meal of under-seasoned fish or rye bread. So, I did a search for ABS food (Anything But Scandinavian) and Fu Hao popped up. Like moth to flame, my dinner fate was sealed. Within 1 block of the central train station, this will be within walking distance of anyone staying around city center. It is on a quiet side street and has a fascinating mix of old Euro cement architecture with pictures of their dim sum menu on the windows. Around the area is a Little Asia neighborhood sporting a mix of other restaurants such as Thai and Japanese along with several Asian grocery stores. There were numerous bike food delivery people in and out of the place picking up while I ordered take away so they do a brisk take away business but the place was also completely full with patrons, both apparent tourists and locals alike with several tables of local Chinese patrons represented. It was so busy that when I stepped in to order, a woman got up from a table, took my order and sent it to the kitchen and later told me she doesn't even work there but she was there for dinner and knows the shop operators so well that she jumps in to assist them when they are in the weeds. It is that kind of place. She took my order, told me some history (the restaurant has been there operating for over 30 years) and then sat back down to finish her meal. That was a pretty awesome interaction. There is a full bar set up squeezed in above the cash register with a prominent Carlsberg beer tap, the obligatory waving good luck cat toy, and small Danish flag on display but no bar seats. The inside is small and compact, perhaps with enough tables and seats for up to 50 people all in. The menu had a full selection of dim sum offerings including some things I was surprised by such as tripe as well as pretty standard offerings you would find in most Chinese restaurants. The latter is what I would expect. The former is what impressed me as I would not think that full scale dim sum would be a hit with the locals (maybe they get sick of under seasoned fish too) but it must be and kudos to Fu Hao for being able to offer it so far from the motherland. The food was tasty and comforting to me. The dim sum is quite serviceable and I read the negative comments from others related to use of MSG by the kitchen. My answer to that is that MSG (stands for "Makes Sh*t Good") is a traditional and basic seasoning used throughout Asia. So while some disapprove of it, without it there is a degree of inauthenticity and that is a little like saying you are an aficionado of Chinese food but don't eat rice. It's incongruent. I found the food here to be pretty authentic which says something from the middle of Scandinavia. Copenhagen has a lot going for it but, in my opinion, world class native cuisine may not be on that list. Thank goodness though that they have Fu Hao (and other places like it) to keep their dining scene international and interesting. Would I eat from here again? Of course.

Quite unusual and delicious. I tried the 7 course journey so I could experience a lot of different dishes. The dollar is relatively strong right now so the roughly $100 inclusive price was quite reasonable, IMHO, given the venue, service, and quality. Wine pairing is available for an additional price. When you order the journey you get little extras and amuse bouche to start, which is nice. The tuna sushi situation with coconut sauce was delicious. The extra dish of minced scallop neck on the half shell was served on a lovely bed of washed beach treasure like pretty stones and shells. The turbot curry was quite outstanding in flavor. Not everything is perfect, though. A fried mushroom dish was very tough (impossible to bite through) and soggy with oil (likely fried at too low temperature). The level of umami is very high in every dish, where an occasional choice with something acidic or bright would break up the sameness. There was a quite nice Thai fish soup with chiles that was exactly right to switch up the palate, so they are definitely capable of making minor adjustments like that. The pork confit wasn't as tender as it should have been and the accompanying kimchi wasn't authentic at all. In short, I would strongly recommend it for drinks but dinner is probably better downstairs at Basalt.
