A great New York style dim sum and Chinese spot in Copenhagen. My family and I had been yawning for dim sum and walked by a few weeks ago.we agreed we would come by and finally got a chance. This is real dim sum, great food. We will come by soon again.

Do NOT order from this places especially take away. We ordered 5 dishes. Fried pork with sweet and sour sauce it was basically a huge dump of dough without Meat. Horrible sweet and sour sauce disgusting fried pork "dough" . Also the Hongkong style duck seems like it was made 48 hours ago the Meat was insanely Hard and chewy! Had absolutely no taste.. Some other dishes was smashed with chili sauce and did not have Any taste at All. Even their Rice was very watery so it felt like we were eating porridge. I would never serve/recommend these dishes to someone. We ate a little and threw it in the trash and ended with instant noodle.

Kou shui ji

Dimsum is what they market themselves on, but their Sichuan dishes is where it is at! I ordered Kou Shui Ji (mouth watering chicken). This is a cold dish that are chopped boiled chicken marinated in chili oil, vinegar, soy, and garlic. Delicious! The are also one of the only places serving real deal xiao long bao (soup dumplings) in Copenhagen. I had to dock them down one star for serving their dumplin in a aluminum tray, but the broth inside the dumpling was very clean. I would say better than Din Tai Fung in Glendale. Overall a great place for those who want authentic Chinese.

New open Cantonese restaurant ! Finally found my favorite Cantonese food restaurant ! Delicious dim-sums! Strongly recommend "Shrimp Toast" and "XiaoLongBao"(a kind of dumpling) hmm, taste like home! Very special and beautiful decoration in the restaurant. Chinese style painting on the wall with strong color blend with Nordic design dinner tables and chairs! And with that price on menu! Definitely going there again! And again! :)

When we first walked in a little before 7pm, it was very quiet with only two diners sitting by the open patio doors. I had to walk almost all the way to the back of the restaurant to find someone working there to seat us. As we looked over the menu, I couldn't help but admire the interiors; definitely not what I expect when I go out to eat Chinese food or dim sum. Comfy designer chairs, detailed murals, HUGE square plates, and a giant hanging lamp. However, a conga line of Chinese tourists suddenly started coming in through the entrance and filled up the whole back room. This turned up the volume inside, in addition to the open patio doors letting in the noise from the street. The summer breeze was nice, but quite a few trucks and motorcycles enjoyed speeding through that street and I had to shout to speak a few times. To make things worse, some customers went out to smoke by the patio and the smell drifted in through the open doors. Luckily the food made up for this. Char siu bao: Small serving but great flavours and nice bun. We even ordered a second round! Tofu skin roll: Great texture with wood ear mushrooms inside. Shumai (listed as prawn and pork dumplings): Probably the best one I've tried in Copenhagen. The shrimp and pork are coarsely chopped so you get great texture instead of using mince. Black tiger prawn dumplings: Good, but I didn't like the sauce (mayo?). Prawn and scallop dumplings: Hands down the best dish we had here. The rice paper containing it was very well-made and the tobiko topping was nice. Cheung fun with prawn: Good. Very tidy presentation compared to other dim sum places. Deep fried bbq pork puffs: Our server suggested this and I'm glad we got it. The pastry looked beautiful but was very delicate and crumbled between our chopsticks. Best to just use your hands I guess. Tasty! Potstickers: Very nice. The menu says you get five but we got six. (: We also wanted to get the turnip cakes but they were unfortunately sold out. Overall the dim sum was good with some obvious standouts. The prices were comparable to Royal Garden. But I have to say, I prefer the ambiance there or at Fu Hao. This place looks upscale but service can be too laid-back and the noise/smoke from the street annoyed me throughout the meal. I would like to come back for the prawn and scallop dumplings and shumai at some point but I guess it will have to be after summer when they close the patio doors and there aren't so many tourists.

Loved the food. Had a great meal with a friend sharing dim sum and our meal. Everything we ordered was absolutely fabulous and piping hot. Service was fantastic and prices were reasonable.

We found the Royal Garden restaurant on our last night in Copenhagen. The family was craving…read morenoodles and soup and this was a perfect place to have dinner. It was a cold and windy Copenhagen day and we needed the comfort food and a warm place to eat dinner after a long day of sightseeing. We ordered the beef with housemade rice noodles, the sizzling chicken with veggies, and the beef fried noodles with veggies, along with the chicken hot and sour soup. EVERYTHING was delicious. The food ingredients were high quality and fresh and every dish was perfectly seasoned (just needed a little salt or soy sauce to taste). Then we shared the fried banana with ice cream for dessert! It was an absolutely wonderful way to end our meal. More great flavors. The waitstaff was kind, welcoming and accommodating. We didn't have reservations, but we were still able to easily get a table on a Sunday night at 7:00. The restaurant was filled with happy diners of couples, friends and families. And it's a very pretty and very comfortable place to relax and have a wonderful meal. We would certainly return and would highly recommend the Royal Garden. AND they have a huge dim sum menu for those looking for dim sum!

Nope. Nope and nope…read more When it comes to dim sum, I believe the more authentic the better. We came here by accident since our favourite restaurant Royal Garden was closed for the summer and we simply had to eat dim sum. We read the "good" reviews as the fusion dim sum restaurant to be and we had our worries. The menu was mostly a set and the selection for a la carte wasn't that many and unlike most dim sum restaurants in teh whole world, you didn't get order paper with numbers and menu with pictures. Shoot me if this place is in Michelin recommended guide, this is just ain't right in my honest opinion. The way everything was served indicated that the meals weren't naturally shared among the guests as it would have in their native China. Meals were delivered prettily in ceramic plates or perfectly decorated bambo trays that beat the purpose of eating dimsum itself. We're paying for the garnish, mostly, considering the price is double of what we used to pay in ordinary (but delicious) dim sum restaurants in Copenhagen. While the taste wasn't that bad, we were skeptical about the whole thing, dim sum wasn't supposed to be about elegance, or was it? I personally think the taste is the most important of all and since dim sum is originally afternoon meals to be shared among friends or family, this place doesn't fit the ambience. Sorry, but "fusion" is just not me. The locals (Danes) might like it, but for Asians like me, it just ain't cutting it.

The best Chinese restaurant in Copenhagen! It was the first time I eat here. I just love this…read moreplace! I like the way they served the food which aren't many Chinese restaurants serving food in that way. Small dish after dish, more like in a French restaurant, for me I found in this way you have more time to finish every dish, also you can get to eat them when they still fresh. The food they make just so delicious! The dumpling with salmon and dill is my favorite, never taste a dumpling with fish inside before, what a brilliant idea! Restaurant Dim Sum I would say it mixes with Chinese tradition way of cooking and a lot of new inspirations, I love when things happen like that, it makes the restaurant has it's own personality, that's the fun for going to a restaurant. Strongly recommended if you are a big fan of Chinese food and go to a fancy restaurant with a reasonable price!!

My intent was to avail myself of all of the local Scandinavian food specialties to immerse myself in the culture of it all. On night 2, I couldn't take another meal of under-seasoned fish or rye bread. So, I did a search for ABS food (Anything But Scandinavian) and Fu Hao popped up. Like moth to flame, my dinner fate was sealed. Within 1 block of the central train station, this will be within walking distance of anyone staying around city center. It is on a quiet side street and has a fascinating mix of old Euro cement architecture with pictures of their dim sum menu on the windows. Around the area is a Little Asia neighborhood sporting a mix of other restaurants such as Thai and Japanese along with several Asian grocery stores. There were numerous bike food delivery people in and out of the place picking up while I ordered take away so they do a brisk take away business but the place was also completely full with patrons, both apparent tourists and locals alike with several tables of local Chinese patrons represented. It was so busy that when I stepped in to order, a woman got up from a table, took my order and sent it to the kitchen and later told me she doesn't even work there but she was there for dinner and knows the shop operators so well that she jumps in to assist them when they are in the weeds. It is that kind of place. She took my order, told me some history (the restaurant has been there operating for over 30 years) and then sat back down to finish her meal. That was a pretty awesome interaction. There is a full bar set up squeezed in above the cash register with a prominent Carlsberg beer tap, the obligatory waving good luck cat toy, and small Danish flag on display but no bar seats. The inside is small and compact, perhaps with enough tables and seats for up to 50 people all in. The menu had a full selection of dim sum offerings including some things I was surprised by such as tripe as well as pretty standard offerings you would find in most Chinese restaurants. The latter is what I would expect. The former is what impressed me as I would not think that full scale dim sum would be a hit with the locals (maybe they get sick of under seasoned fish too) but it must be and kudos to Fu Hao for being able to offer it so far from the motherland. The food was tasty and comforting to me. The dim sum is quite serviceable and I read the negative comments from others related to use of MSG by the kitchen. My answer to that is that MSG (stands for "Makes Sh*t Good") is a traditional and basic seasoning used throughout Asia. So while some disapprove of it, without it there is a degree of inauthenticity and that is a little like saying you are an aficionado of Chinese food but don't eat rice. It's incongruent. I found the food here to be pretty authentic which says something from the middle of Scandinavia. Copenhagen has a lot going for it but, in my opinion, world class native cuisine may not be on that list. Thank goodness though that they have Fu Hao (and other places like it) to keep their dining scene international and interesting. Would I eat from here again? Of course.
