Putt-Putt's Bar - Grilled cheese with tots

He used to live in this neighborhood so he was familiar with the menu and mentioned the inside has changed quite a bit since he frequented this spot. We ordered a burger on sourdough with tots and the BBQ chicken flatbread. This was great bar food! I loved the burger - it was juicy and the tots were fried and seasoned to perfection. It was a great portion too, so we were able to share (makes me think of Napoleon Dynamite - no stealing tots necessary). I love that you can order your burger on sourdough instead of a bun - it was perfectly toasted. It did get a bit messy and fell apart a little towards the end, but we had plenty of napkins. The flatbread was super tasty. I don't usually go for a BBQ chicken pizza but I saw someone else ordered it and it looked delicious. I'm so glad I copied them, because it was sweet, savory, and covered in chicken and cheese. The included side of ranch just rounded it out. Yum! Our server was quick with refills and around for us to order more drinks when needed. The outdoor space is pretty spacious and covered. Definitely will stop by again soon!

A server never came to our table, never brought us a menu (we had to look it up on our phones). Finally go up to the bar and ask for a server (after multiple attempts and having to order drinks from the bar) and she comes over and tells us they only have fried food. We buy some shots and beers (server asks for our card and we pay for them up front) and they never brought them (we had to remind the server we ordered drinks and shots). Overall it was a clusterf*** and we will never be back.

I can confidently say that all the doctors, nurses, and staff that I have encountered truly care about our pets. I spent hours in the ICU comforting my cat while he was fighting to recover and I saw tears in doctors eyes for other patients & clients; I heard the unfiltered surprise and determination in their voice when they would be called away on (another) emergency, and I felt their professionalism as well as compassion in every interaction. I wish I could name everyone to whom I am eternally grateful for taking care of our sick pets, but I know there were people on my pets' care who I never even met because they were behind the scenes! And I'm just as thankful for them as I am to the doctors and nurses who I did have the pleasure to meet. I trusted them with my pets' lives and I know they did everything they could to keep them healthy, even when circumstances don't always follow the path we'd wish. Thank you to everyone at Blue Pearl, we'd be lost without you!

Family Friends Veterinary Hospital - The front of the hospital front the road (from the East)

    Family Friends Veterinary Hospital

    (83 reviews)

Review for Family Friends Veterinary Hospital…read more Over the years, we've taken a lifetime series of hounds and bulldogs to Family Friends. I've always wondered why they chose the name Family Friends. At first, I assumed it was because pets are members of the family, and the name had a nice ring to it. Over the past few days, I understand it differently. Family Friends are truly friends to our family. It's a large practice with a remarkable staff--every one of them kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Many practices achieve "friendly." Family Friends has created something more: a place where each staff member steps forward like a true friend, without hesitation, and goes the extra mile. That sets them apart. This past week, as we worked to connect with specialty veterinary services for our dog, Family Friends exchanged supportive emails, answered questions, and listened patiently as we tried to talk through tears. They took time with every visit, showed genuine care, and did everything they could to help us move forward. Their kindness has made a very difficult time feel less overwhelming. Friends are awesome; friends who also know what they are doing--each and every one of them--are deeply appreciated. We do not yet know the outcome for our dog. What we do know is that, whatever lies ahead, we have been supported by wonderful people, and their care has meant a great deal to our small family of two people and two dogs. Family Friends has lived up to its name in ways we never expected. - Carol G.
