They were so lovely in asking if we were in looking for anything specific and about allergies before offering her some small treats. She loved perusing the treat and hide and bone bar. It's a small store but they also offer grooming and all of the dogs there seemed so happy. We will definitely be back and love supporting local!

If you care about your dog's wellbeing and your own peace of mind, I would strongly recommend going…read moreelsewhere. I brought my 9 lb dog in for a basic wash, dry, and trim on 3/25/26. When I picked him up, I was told he had been injured during grooming--the groomer cut his paw pad, causing significant bleeding. I was advised to take him to the vet if needed and was assured I would be reimbursed. The emergency vet visit cost $430. I was told a reimbursement check would be ready within one week. Instead, I received no updates and had to initiate every follow-up myself. I was given conflicting information multiple times about the status of the check (ready, needed a signature, needed to be drafted), which felt very disorganized and dishonest. Without my agreement, they eventually decided to mail the check instead of having it available for pickup as originally discussed. I did receive it, but it arrived 9 days later than promised. I was also asked to re-explain the situation because they had "two injuries in the last week," which is extremely concerning. Accidents can happen, but the lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through here was unacceptable. I will not be returning

The timeline later made sense because it all happened after that appointment. And then the last time we had a grooming appointment, our dog was scared to go inside. The people said he was snippy at his last appointment too. No wonder! They hurt him and didn't even tell us back in Feb! I do not recommend this business because if they did hurt our dog, they did NOT tell us back in Feb.

Since I moved to GR (almost 3 years ago), this is the place I take my girl to. I found North Bark,…read moreI'm pretty sure through Yelp actually, and at the time had picked it because it was affordable AND near my apartment at the time. In the last couple of years they've definitely gotten busier, but I never have a problem getting my pup in within a week or two of my desired time frame. It's more typical for me to get an appointment scheduled within the week I call. I love that they do a great "standard" treatment (brushes out, washed, nails, anal gland expressing, & ears) for $40. Compared to places I'd gotten my pup groomed at, North Bark is wayyyy more affordable. They do a great job too! She always comes out with some sort of bow on her color, fitting the season or holiday. Another thing I really appreciate is the open environment in the back. So while my pup is waiting for me or waiting for her turn, she gets to socialize with other dogs. They offer doggy day care as an option, and I have had her ferminated (I think that's the right word) for when she's really blowing her coat... This time I took her in, she had a hot spot. I gave the groomer a heads up and they made sure to watch the spot. I can say enough how much I love taking her here for her grooming needs!

The staff was always so incredibly understanding and empathetic to his situation and made every accommodation for him to feel safe. We really appreciated the text message and photo check ins to know how he was doing. As nervous owners it really helped reassure us he was in a safe loving situation. The penthouse option allowed the staff to be completely hands off but still give him the freedom to be inside or outside as needed. Although we had to say goodbye to Odin we will continue to take any future pets to whiskers, they truly care so much about each animal that comes through the door!

Have taken my dog here for boarding and grooming . Staff was friendly each time we were there…read more The boarding experience was good. Staff was friendly, kept us up to date on how our boy was doing. It was our first time leaving him since we adopted our dog. So the small updates helped ease our mind. I believe our boy was feeling sad towards the end of our vacation and wasn't eating much just days before we arrived home. Again the staff was amazing , kept us up to date, worked with us to help Bruno eat and lift his spirits. The grooming part, we are very happy with. Bruno came from a troubled past, sadly he was mistreated and he suffers from anxiety and has a fear of nail trimming and baths. But thankfully we found someone who is very patient, kind and Bruno responds very well with. He's a very affectionate dog and soaks up all the love and attention he gets when he goes in for his grooming
