Fido & Stitch has become our go to pet store when we roll into GR to see the family. Centrally located on the outskirts of downtown and right next to City Built Brewing this is one classy spot to get the goods for our pooch. Masks up and dog in tow you can get in and out getting exactly what you need. Prices are reasonable but best of all its a local small business that deserves the love for taking notice of our furry loved ones.

Fido and Stitch, your local Grand Rapids dog boutique and salon offers so much wether you are looking to pick up a treat for your furry friend or looking to pamper your dog with a fresh groom. We love to stop in during our walks down Monroe and pick up a raw bone out of their freezer. Another favorite you can find at Fido is their calming hemp chews. Our pup often has a couple before being groomed. Amanda and Mallory do such an amazing job grooming our 100lb Bernedoodle, Oliver. Even with such a large dog that doesn't typically like the groomer they are incredibly patient and do amazing work every single time. While you're in the shop check out their dogs of Grand Rapids card pack where you can find me on the 8 cards (see photo below). The Grand Rapids dog community lives Fido & Stitch!

Fido & Stitch is a store for the furry member of your family. And provides just about everything an owner could want to care and make their beloved doggo feel loved. ⁣ ⁣ They offer natural and healthy products (including a VE Raw Bar) so your dog can live a fun, healthy, and long life! ⁣ ⁣ They also have grooming services! ⁣ ⁣ Stop in with your canine and see them on Monroe Ave!

Being from out of state, I wanted to shop somewhat local to buy a few treats to bring home to my pets. Fido and Stitch was a decent walk from my hotel so I was hoping the reviews lived up to the hype. If you happen to drive there, there is a free parking. The place is packed with items for sale. Clothing, beds, toys, food, treats on treats on treats. I've seen common brand items cheaper elsewhere, but there were items I've never seen before at what seemed to be fair price. The freeze dried animal parts were under a buck to just a couple dollars and my dog loved those treats. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything was very organized and clearly priced. I'd for sure come back.

I was dining next door and not quite finished with my meal when I saw that Fido and Stitch were about to close via the Yelp app. Looking for something, in particular, I quickly popped over to see if they had what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for in the size I wanted. They had other sizes so it does look as if they do normally carry it and were just out of stock right now. I walked around a little bit but didn't want to be a complete bother since they were about to close and I wasn't going to purchase anything. It seems like they have a great selection of leashes, harnesses, toys, beds, treats, skin care, etc. There is a small set up of cat things in the back but it looks like they cater to the canines the most. Their food selection seems to be more of the natural type, which I am a big fan of... no fillers! Next time I am looking for something specific I will definitely be back. I actually may be back sooner than later to get a cooling collar for my french bulldog!

The best. The only place I trust with my dog. Whether it's grooming, dog walking, or treats from the store. Don't go anywhere else.

Super cute neighborhood pet store! Located on Monroe in one of the cool old, rehabbed warehouses, the store has an adorable selection of doggies shirts, collars, and treats. I found a doggie shirt with the state of Michigan outline on and a little paw mark for Grand Rapids. My chihuahua doesn't actually like to wear clothes but I force him to wear it because I like it so much. Prices seem reasonable and when I asked if I could do a return, just in case the shirt didn't fit my dog, the girl working was super nice and explained their policy (within 10 days). I'm almost bummed that the shirt did fit my dog; now I don't have an immediate reason to return! Ps- they also offer grooming inside the stores

Great staff and they did a great job with our hyper chocolate lab! They were able to clip her nails and even trimmed her paw pads.

Cool stuff in here, neat place, but overpriced for sure. Not sure about their grooming as I have all smooth-haired dogs.

I found North Bark,…read moreI'm pretty sure through Yelp actually, and at the time had picked it because it was affordable AND near my apartment at the time. In the last couple of years they've definitely gotten busier, but I never have a problem getting my pup in within a week or two of my desired time frame. It's more typical for me to get an appointment scheduled within the week I call. I love that they do a great "standard" treatment (brushes out, washed, nails, anal gland expressing, & ears) for $40. Compared to places I'd gotten my pup groomed at, North Bark is wayyyy more affordable. They do a great job too! She always comes out with some sort of bow on her color, fitting the season or holiday. Another thing I really appreciate is the open environment in the back. So while my pup is waiting for me or waiting for her turn, she gets to socialize with other dogs. They offer doggy day care as an option, and I have had her ferminated (I think that's the right word) for when she's really blowing her coat... This time I took her in, she had a hot spot. I gave the groomer a heads up and they made sure to watch the spot. I can say enough how much I love taking her here for her grooming needs!

I've trusted Family Friends with the care of three dogs and two cats for more than six years…read more Unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me concerned about a decline in communication, transparency, and clarity around costs. Most recently, I paid $250 for my dog to be seen during regular hours. Less than 24 hours later, her condition had worsened. She was lethargic, still wasn't eating after three doses of medication, and was continuing to bleed from her rectum. Because no regular drop-in appointments were available, I was directed to urgent care and charged another $500, including approximately $130 in fees added to the prescription costs. I called the office and spoke with Jill about the unexpected charges. While she apologized that I was unhappy with the experience, no adjustment was offered. I recognize that, as a pet owner, I can always ask more questions. However, transparency should also be part of the care provided. During that initial visit, I was told that my dog had torn her other ACL less than four months after undergoing a knee surgery that cost more than $4,600. Only after that surgery was I told that dogs that tear one ACL can be predisposed to tearing the other. That is information I would have appreciated having when considering treatment and the potential long-term costs. After more than six years as a client, I'm disappointed to feel that I now need to be much more proactive about uncovering costs, alternatives, and potential outcomes before agreeing to treatment. If you choose Family Friends, I recommend doing your research, asking detailed questions, and making sure you fully understand the treatment options, alternatives, and associated costs before proceeding.
