He was responsible for maintaining a 5 bedroom house on a weekly basis, reporting any problems with public services (water, electricity, gas), make repairs such as replacing parts in windows, repairing damage to wood deck, installing light fixtures, replacing plumbing fixtures, removing wall paper and painting, meeting tradesmen to install carpet, tile and appliances, supervise clean up after major remodel, hire gardeners, bring in cleaners to show the house. Every repair he did was excellent quality. When I listed the house, I received lots of compliments about the condition of the property...ready to move in. His prices are more than reasonable and I would recommend him to anyone who needs a handyman to fix floors, paint, install fixtures. He has a photo portfolio with examples of his work. Not only did Chad completely botch my home, but he also took over $2,300 as a flooring deposit that…read morewas supposed to be $1150 and incorrectly laid and ruined 3 rows of flooring in one room before the drywall was finished. He also took almost $8k of mine and the photos below will show you what I was left with. He left my home in worse condition than when he started. Everything he touched was damaged and now requires costly rework and repairs. He wasted over $3k in materials alone due to his incompetence and negligence. After suffering flood damage after Helene, I was urgently looking for a trusted and reliable contractor to help repair my home. Chad assured me he was licensed, insured, and capable of handling the work. Upon further investigation, a license cannot be found on him through NCLBGC. I trusted him to help restore my home, but instead, he took advantage of my situation and left me worse off. For example: - He installed bathroom wall tiles crookedly, and the floor tiles began coming up and loose within days. - The drain assembly on the vanity was improperly installed. - He skipped installing tiles behind and under the vanity, to cut corners, hoping I wouldn't notice. - He failed to properly hook up my toilet, which wouldn't even flush afterward. - One of the electrical outlets in the bathroom stopped working entirely after he completed his "work." - He drywalled over wood paneling without removing it, despite me paying for him to do so, leaving huge gaps and misaligned outlets and window seals. - He laid only a few rows of vinyl flooring without prepping the surface and damaged the materials in the process by nailing and placing screws into click-lock flooring (which is flooring 101). When Chad offered to come back and fix his mistakes, I refused. I was not willing to waste any more materials on his errors after he had already gone through numerous expensive tiles I discovered in my trash trying to cover up mistakes behind my back. Chad also demanded multiple deposits for various projects but failed to complete a single one. His actions are nothing short of an upfront payment scam. After ruining the rest of my home, I refused to let him touch anymore of the flooring, yet he refused to work anything out with me financially. His work is not only poor, but appalling and atrocious. The photos of his work speak for themselves. Do yourself a favor and avoid this so-called contractor at all costs. He will take your money, cut corners, and leave you with a bigger mess than you started with.

I was of the opinion that a smaller tile store wouldn't have enough options for me. I was wrong! As soon as I walked in, the owner Jeff greeted me and truly took an interest in me. He asked all the right questions to get an idea of the style of the home, our price range, etc. Jeff then proceeds to walk over and pulls this porcelain marble off the shelf. He brings it over and says "What do you think?" and he described the tile to me in detail. He then proceeded to put additional details with the tile and within 30 minutes of walking in the store, I had my tile picked out for my Master and Guest Showers! All I can say is anyone that is building or remodeling a home knows that picking out tile is probably the hardest part of the project. Big THANK YOU to Jeff and his wife, Dawn, for making this process SO easy!

Of those, only three companies answered my calls, and those who answered sounded irked and/or did not have a schedule of availability on-hand and would need to return my call later in the day or early next week (what!?). Bret Wooten of Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning immediately answered my telephone call this morning and was patient, kind, and understanding as I expressed my needs and concerns. It was a relief to finally speak with someone who did not seem hurried or irritated that I was needing to use their business for services.. His next availability for my needs is not until early July, so I am unsure if I will be able to wait that long. If so, however, I will certainly schedule an appointment with this company. I feel genuinely compelled to write this review and mention the top tier customer service I received on the phone this morning. If you are seeking carpet cleaning, I highly recommend calling Heaven's Best.
