Per the office manager I was required to pay in…read morefull up front, but LL Flooring would hold the funds until we had a final walk through and I signed off on everything being completed to satisfaction. However, I never had this walk through and ended up taking 5 days instead of 1 day, that appears to be due to LL flooring's lack of transparency and communicating with the installers. When I contacted LL Flooring they had already released the funds to themselves and the installers, they did refund for the material but said I would have to take labor refund up with the installer and have been completely unhelpful with this process where the installers have worked with me trying to get this resolved. Additionally, in the beginning I had requested carpet to be installed but was told I could wait until the flooring was almost complete to finalize this and when I went to finalize which was after they released the funds, LL flooring added additional charges and said the installers increased their cost that ultimately doubled the cost originally quoted. When asked about this Jordan said the quote was only good for 30 days however I was never told this nor did I ever received the paper quote despite asking for it to be emailed to me. I reached out to Ben, the store manager on multiple occasions and was told he was going to look into it and get back to me, I have not received any follow up from them. I have contacted this office multiple times and keep being told there's nothing they see in the notes and nothing I (the customer) can do, they refuse to provide me with any contact information above their store manager that continue to dodge my calls. Now that I have filed a complaint, calls from my phone to the store go straight to voicemail but not when calling from a different number. Basically, these two employees will tell you anything to get you to pay and once they've been paid they do not care if you have any issues. I do not like that you are unable to speak to the installers to confirm pricing and after all this, I question if Ben and Jordan are being truthful in their prices and quotes. I would avoid using LL Flooring at all costs, at least this location.

The install went well. The problem came afterward when the new by-pass doors on one closet needed to be trimmed to the proper length to accommodate the floor guides for the doors. That's when we learned how defensive and unpleasant dealing with Affordable Floors in Newton can be. It is my understanding that trimming doors is the responsibility of the floor installer since the installer will know the finished height of the floor and the guides. Affordable Floors absolutely refused to do that final part of the job, claiming they would not touch new doors....!!?? (But they would trim old doors??)
