The lake front spots are our favorite and we love that the kids can carry their kayaks into the water on their own. You can rent boats from a local dock 10ish minutes away driving if you don't have one, or you can put your boat in not far and keep it near your site in the water. The bathrooms are relatively clean and hook ups and water are fine. The only complaint we have is that there are tons of ants everywhere. If you drop food, they will find it. Last year they tried to climb up our jacks and get into our camper so we always try to remember to bring any spray. There is a ton of goose poop around the sites by the water but we just use bags we use for the dog's poop and throw it away so we don't step on it.

A steep slope to get in/out and not level. There were a few campsites that looked like people stay there all season (little dog fences, lights, signs in yard, etc.) Overall though the campground is so pretty! A lot of trails to walk. During season you can rent canoes and kayaks. Bev at the front office was super nice and helpful. Called and let us know we could check in early. Would recommend to others but would I would definitely pick a different campsite next time (52) just because of the slope to get in/out and not being level (but the view from this site is beautiful!!)

Stopped here unplanned when we had a water issue with our RV. Hadn't planned on staying but…read morethankfully Dumplin Valley had vacancy and was able to recommend a mobile Rv repair service too. We stayed one night and they were SO accommodating with a last minute reservation! We pulled in after dark so I was surprised to see the farm like beautiful setting when waking up the next morning. It was a great stay and I was surprised to see the place so empty! We decided maybe we should stay a second night it was so enjoyable. By the time we went down to the office to pay our site was already reserved for the night, so we would have to move spots. Slightly obnoxious since there were only a handful of sites occupied, but we were late to decide so that's our fault. Ultimately we decided that if we had to pack up to move sites then we might as well get back on the road- and so we did. It was still a beautiful, picturesque and farm setting that was peaceful and quiet plus accommodating! They don't have any 'resort' type amenities but power was water are plenty amenities for us!!

There is no room to take your dogs out - their "dog park" is a small 10x10 patch of fenced grass. The WIFI does not work, we had to use our phones hot spot to watch TV and use our laptop. The laundry facilities are gross, washers stink, dryers won't dry your clothes (after 1 hour in the dryer, I'd expect my clothes to not come out damp). The bathrooms on site are okay - they also have a foul smell of urine and sewer. The shower curtains are see through and too small for the showers. The location of this place also sucks - next to a rock quarry where you will hear nothing but loud equipment all day and into the night. If you're looking for a cheap one night stop on your way through, this might be the place. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing campground, this isn't it!!!

Greenbrier Campground is fantastic in so many ways and absolutely deserves to be enjoyed by everyone. We rented the deluxe cabin that sleeps 4, which has a wraparound porch overlooking the river, plus a fire pit and grill. There are chairs everywhere--two on the side porch, two with a table on the front porch for morning coffee with a view, and five Adirondacks around the fire pit. The cabin itself is newly built and really sturdy, more like a tiny home. Inside you'll find a couch, a dining table with bench seating, and a kitchen with a 2-stool peninsula. The kitchen is fully stocked: plates, cups, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, can opener, toaster--you name it. A skinny staircase leads up to the loft, which is about 36" at the highest point before the beams. It has an outlet, light switch, windows on each side, and two firm twin foam mattresses. Surprisingly comfy--and super fun for kids. Our 3-year-old loved it. The bathroom was spotless with great storage between the counter and medicine cabinet, and the shower was a good size. The master bedroom has a Fire TV, tons of shelving, and plenty of outlets. As for the amenities: you get river access, a game room, and a playground. It's also very dog-friendly, with poop stations and a dog run, which we appreciated. What really stands out? * Service: The staff are incredible and make you feel right at home. * Upkeep: They genuinely care about their property. Everything inside and out is immaculate, and they enforce the 5mph and noise rules so everyone stays safe and comfortable. * Pricing: Super fair--especially if you have dogs! Downsides (and I really had to reach): * Bed: I'm pretty sure the master bed is a full, not a queen. I brought flat sheets, but it definitely felt smaller than a queen. * Shower curtain: It's adorable, but it tends to cling to you while you're showering. * Pocket doors: You need to slide the door all the way and hold it while locking until it catches. They're just a little loud, especially with a toddler sleeping in the loft since sound travels. I've honestly never stayed anywhere so clean and welcoming. Next time we'll probably book the deluxe cabin that sleeps 6, and we can't wait to come back. They anticipate everything you might need and truly care about you having an enjoyable stay. I can't recommend Greenbrier Campground enough!

We picked out this campground months before we went on vacation. It was perfect for us. Level spots…read morebacked up to a beautiful river. If you still have small children at home it looks great for kids. Trash area, restrooms, and camp spots were all clean and well maintained. Easy check in and nice people. It was a short trip into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but also the right distance away. We will be back here again and will stay at Greenbrier.

7/26/26 My husband…read moreand I like to take a cave trip every year for our anniversary. This year, we traveled from Ohio to the Bristol area. Gap Cave was a great stop for the way back home. I will admit that we originally did not go in with high expectations. We saw the $8 price tag and thought that meant this cave must be underwhelming with the price being THAT low compared to all other tours that we have been on. Gap Cave was the 29th cave/cavern that we have visited in the US. When I tell you that we were pleasantly surprised, that is the understatement of the century. We loved the experience of getting to use the flashlights to light our own path while in the cave. The hike to the cave itself is super beautiful. Our tour guides(Lucas, Dylan, and Mackenzie) were amazing. You could see all of their enthusiasm for their job which is always great to see! Gap Cavern has an amazing amount of formations. We enjoyed our tour here more than the Domes and Dripstones tour at Mammoth Cave. The visitors center of Cumberland Gap National Park was also super nice! The employees and rangers were so friendly and kind! We highly recommend making this stop!

We were so nervous about booking at Dudley Creek. We had to go to Gatlingburg for a conference…read moreand didn't want to spend $125 a night to bring our own room with us. We found Dudley Creek on RV Life website but felt the price was too good to be true. What made matters worse is the Google Earth photos showed the resort still under construction. We booked anyway because of the price. We were shocked to roll in and find the most Adorable campground. It's well kept and cleaner than Fort Wilderness at Disney. Ms Lisa was a gracious host and told us the best things to do in Gatlinburg and most importantly, what to avoid. She gave us a tour of the cabins and after seeing them we were shocked to see how nice they were, and when we found out they were only $90 a night, immediately started planning a rally here. We read reviews complaining about road noise however we didn't even notice it. Highly recommend this resort and we will be back. This is something Florida needs to jump on board with. And there was so many great spots for ground camping as well as areas for campers/RVs. We spent a couple hours at the park doing the hike to the waterfall. It was pretty leisurely and the grade is mild so it made for a comfortable trek. If you are planning to hike here, drive as faaaaaar as you can before parking. If you choose to park in the first lots you'll be walking about a mile just to get to the trail head. The trails were beautiful and the waterfall is so fun! You really can climb and explore it, I would suggest bringing plenty of water to drink and shoes that you can walk through the water in.
