Was really looking forward to trying after all the hype....what a let down. Gorgeous atmosphere, location & the staff was incredibly professional, now if that could be applied to the food quality they'd be in business. Mediocre Cocktails, appetizers luke warm at best. Tried the pork chop which was decent, the glaze was the best part. We were concerned when everything came out so quickly, not usually a good sign & unfortunately correct. Truly the worst Brussels sprouts I've ever had, cold, overcooked & terrible flavor, we sent them back & replaced w/ EXACTLY the same thing! Again, NOTHING is fresh served in 2 min! 3rd time replaced with luke warm hospital broccoli, not an ounce of seasoning. Half the meal wasn't eaten. Was kinda shocked no effort was made to comp part of the bill, desert....etc. Great place for a so-so cocktail and a walk in the gorgeous grounds is about it. read more

Magically transformed into a holiday wonderland of lights, Clinton's 370 acre park amazes me. The fantastic display of snowmen, stars, color-changing trees, and fireflies under a brightly lit archway beckons visitors to walk along several of the park's 17 trails to enjoy the creative displays. Christmas music in the air, plus an outdoor trailer offering hot and cold beverages, adds to the festivity of the season. This "Aspirations of Light" venue, open until January 4, is well worth visiting during the dark winter sky. Those who dine at the property's Pearl restaurant gain free admission. I love this place!!! I drive from 30 min away to walk my dog, get outside, and walk the beautiful paths, listen to beautiful relaxing music, decompress, and sip wine (My favorite is Meomi pinot noir but their homemade honey iced tea is excellent too.) I bring a book and will try paddle-boarding at the launch someday. read more

The one negative review; plkease remember in your negativity, this Clinton native who fought to have Aspire built over ten years, donated this land and all that goes with it to the people of his beloved Clinton and evntually built this wonderful place for us to enjoy. thank you Mr. Hollingsworth for your supreme effort in giving us something to enjoy and for being so giving and persistence in making this possible. Our friends told us about Aspire because we have been looking for places to kayak. We all went and carried our kayaks down the launch ramp. We found out after we had them at the bottom that you can back all the way to the bottom of the ramp. Maybe next time! The water is super cold, but pleasant and easy for all ages to paddle around the island and down stream. (We had 9-13yo with us and everyone did fine.) After we packed our boats back up, we visited the restaurant and ate lunch there. The prices were way more reasonable than I thought they would be since the park and playground were so fancy. The food was pretty good, I'd say 4/5, especially for a park. The whole park itself is definitely 5/5 and we will be back! Even just going to play on the playground would be fun. There were 3 levels of playgrounds, zip lines at the top, climbing and swings on the second and the bottom had a big slide and little houses, etc. read more

Such a neat place! The whole property is super impressive. The restaurant, the bike trails, the playground, zip lines, you name it... So much detail was put into this place and it shows! We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Aspire. It was our first time here and we couldn't have picked a more special spot. We were seated in a booth next to the bar. Our waiter Brandon took great care of us, always on top of refilling our drinks and getting our food out quickly. We started our feast with the spinach artichoke dip. I liked how Aspire's take on the dip was served with pita chips. It was delicious and the perfect appetizer. For our mains, I had the pork tacos and my better half had the burger and fries. The pork tacos were good, but maybe not seasoned enough for me. I originally wanted the short rib tacos, but as their menu changed two days before, they had taken them off the menu. And for dessert, we settled on the strawberry shortcake which came out with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to end our special day. And then, Brandon, brought out yet another dessert for us on the house!! It was the cotton candy and put the biggest smile on my face as it reminds me of my native Ukraine and always getting cotton candy in the park. Wow. This is probably the nicest local park I've ever seen. They put a lot of thought and effort into making Aspire a first class facility for this community. The park features beautifully designed trails, outdoor seating, bike paths, playgrounds, and tons of activities. They also have a full service restaurant and outdoor kiosks that sell ice cream and drinks. This is a great place to spend a few hours and enjoy the outdoors. I'm impressed that it was built by a private developer who wanted to give back to his hometown. I also like the name and vision -- Aspire. That's a positive message and this park is a nice way to inspire people (particularly kids) to "aspire" to great things. read more

What an amazing place! Upon entering the building we were greeted by 2 employees who were helpful in guiding us as to activities at Aspire. There is a room for kids just to the left of the entrance so be sure to check that out if you have young ones. To the right is the restaurant "Pearl". I was impressed with the variety and prices but we didn't take the time to dine there..this time The outside playground is phenomenal. Slides, teeter totter, zip line AND a bike course. One of the things that impressed me was a slide that ended on the ground so little ones are safer. Even the adults had fun trying out a slide or two. There are walking and bike trails throughout the park also. Everything is beautiful and best of all, it's FREE (all but the restaurant of course). NOTE: During the Christmas season, they do have a light show which is a walk-through event & there is a charge to attend. read more

Where to begin. The atmosphere is nice. Unfortunately, that is the only positive statement I can make about this alleged higher end restaurant. I was visiting my brother and his wife and they wanted to take me to a special dinner. I maintain a vegan diet, so my sister in law asked a server at Aspire if they accommodate a plant-based diet. She was told absolutely; further, the server said the chef and kitchen are very creative. We get to the restaurant and the server did not even know what a vegan diet is. Nothing on the menu, either. He went to the kitchen and said they could serve me some pasta with broccoli and mushrooms. I said that would be acceptable. The server brought out a bowl of overcooked penne with a tiny bit of broccoli and some small pieces of mushroom...all drenched in what seemed like a cup of olive oil and very little spicing. There was so much oil, I had to ask the server to take the dish and drain off the oil. He did and brought back the bowl which now only had maybe a 1/4 cup of oil. They did add a pinch of oregano and salt and pepper. Of course it was over salted now. I get the bill and they had the nerve to charge me for their chicken and pasta dish. Nearly $20 for cheap pasta and a few veggies. Seriously! I asked for the manager on the way out and shared my disappointment. What I got was a bunch of excuses. The Executive Chef was off that night. They were really busy. The manager was new and was here to fix things. He offered to comp the bill for the entire party. I told him that was not necessary. He insisted again and I said, my brother and his wife had what they ordered, so again, not necessary. (Note...the steak and fish dishes they had were, according to them, just OK...nothing special and a bit disappointing.) He said he would comp my dinner and I said that was fine. He did comp my dinner dish, not the wine I had. Frankly, if he wanted to make up for the poor experience I had and the embarrassment my sister in law, who had selected this restaurant, was experiencing, he would have written off the entire bill as a surprise. That is how he would get them back to the restaurant. Oh well. I did suggest, since he was new, that he has numerous opportunities ahead of him and he acknowledged this. He said they would be working on a new menu that plans for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diets. I hope Aspire does and I wish them the best in the future. read more

One of the best parks (if not the best) that I've been to! Very family friendly and has everything you could think of! A restaurant (which has very affordable and yummy food), bike park, playground, zip lines, lots and lots of trails and so much more. I come here very often and enjoy it every time! read more

We did not eat at the restaurant. We went for the walking Christmas light display. It was wonderful. So beautiful and a great verity of lights. The many photo opportunities were a really nice touch for lasting memories. The color changing dance floor was so cool and the hot chocolate cart (free when you download the app) was a nice touch although it took quite a long time for the one gal to get all the drinks out. She was very friendly and did a great job but could have used a partner to move things along. I want to go again, but for nearly $30 I'll wait and go again next year. I will go back to try the restaurant. It looks lovely and the menu looks delicious. read more

my server- her name started with a B, was inconsiderate. you could hear her constantly bad mouthing things from personal life to other servers. You're allowed to have conflicts in your life but keep that away from your job. she should be fired, that's a bad influence on other staff and she was just unpleasant. read more

Had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fantastic grouper bites, wonderful barley and meat soup and tacos filled with short ribs. Each was superb!! Grounds are wonderful with over 300 acres of bike trails, hiking, dog park. A wonderful private park open to the public. We will be returning. read more

Really lovely, spacious park, well designed and thought out. Particularly pleased to see it is about 99% wheelchair accessible with lots of family-size restrooms - it really makes a difference when you aren't having to constantly think out "plan B" for accessibility. Very pleasant outdoor dining, as well (haven't tried inside); makes for a great lunch out with family or friends. We saw a friend post about this restaurant on FB. We went and had the grouper bites, deviled eggs and short rib tacos. The food was delicious! Our server was Allie who was excellent! When we asked her about the grounds and park she took the time to explain all the things that the park had. I took three friends to lunch with a reservation. It was lovely. Great seating, service and food. I wanted to show my sister the restaurant, so I made a reservation for 2. (same week) When we arrived, we were seated at a mini table for 2 by the kitchen door, even though the restaurant was not crowded. I purchased a $50 bottle of wine at our tiny table. The food was good, however, a group of people with a dog got a better table. It was not a good experience. The rest of the tables were not filled when we were there. Not a good look. read more
