The store is well lit and the aisles are clean and well stocked. They have a nice bakery and a good produce selection. The prices are about average but you we did find some good deals. Our cashier was very friendly and quick, staff throughout the store were very helpful and even asked if we needed help finding anything. This store is about 12 miles from my home but it's worth the trip as long as we avoid Shenandoah.

I wrote an update but it was just AS embarrassing, so I decide to delete it and start fresh (no....I couldn't edit, but thank you for mentioning it). I LOVE this place. I had a truly horrific experience with a different distributor in town and vowed to never return. Must have been serendipity because without that experience I would have never found this place. When you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a hello. Not sure about your shopping/dining experience these days, but mine is rife with attitude and indifference. This place breaks the monotony of rudeness to the point of being disarming. In fact, every single person I encountered has been extremely pleasant to deal with. A couple of months ago, I went in to fill my propane tank and they were having a minor issue. Instead of arguing about it with me or turning me away, they let me exchange my empty tank for a full one - no questions. Imagine that....a proprietor that thinks logically. Easy, peasy!!! Of course they have a wide selection....most distributors have wide selections.... this distributor comes with workers that brighten your day. This is my go-to spot for beer AND propane.

This is a nice little camp store at Locust Lake State Park. My family has been coming here for many…read moreyears. This camp store changes hands every 10 years (I think its a contract requirement). This is the first year the new owners have it and they REALLY changed the layout of the store. It looks much more open, modern, and trendy. My main issues come from knowing how the store was before, what is missing now. Diet guers tea is a staple of ours when we're here. They have been out all week. They serve Heislers ice cream (literally the best ice cream around). I'm so grateful they didn't choose another ice cream, but its disappointing when you go to order and they are out of 5 of the flavors. We also buy a locust lake shirt or hoodie every year, but the amount to pick from are slim. Most of us will not be getting one this year because they don't have the sizes we need. This is a really nice store and I'm hopeful when the new owners get a season under their belt they will be able to keep things in stock. When we ask when they are getting more guers/ice cream/shirts in the answer is probably tomorrow but its been a week. Also there used to be picnic benches outside the back of the store. I'd love for those to return as going over to the pavilion or down to the lake to try and get the bench is near impossible when someone in your group has a mobility issue.
