you wanna race? go here... zippy road course, banked tri- and regular-ovals, plus straight line…read moreracing to check your reaction time. super friendly racers and helpful staff and a fully stocked parts counter that's way overwhelming for a newbie but I'll figure out the lingo and get over myself soon enough and achieve a sort of normalcy if not fluency in tech-talk. while I was running laps solo on the road course trying to figure out the whole gas-gas-brake-gas thing to not fly off in the turns some serious high speed racing was happening on the high banked oval... I think it was NASCAR and trucks going fast and loud with only a little bit of crashing. pretty sure the format is total laps over time and everyone has to run on each lane. crazy fast cuz it's wide open all the way and hopefully the car sticks except when it's supposed to slide. meanwhile on the flat track it's all practice practice practice.

I am shocked at the disrespect of the employees at this location. I had just arrived and was told I…read morecouldn't purchase because my daughter had come earlier with a friend to purchase a squishy. I have 2 other children at home who I was purchasing for, but was not allowed to buy them. She was rude and disrespectful. I think the attitude of the employee is definitely what escalated things so quickly as I had just walked in the door and arrived. She had no customer service skills and was so focused on a policy that should not have applied to me. Even if she wanted to enforce a policy, she could've done that in a much kinder way.

I've ordered parts from their e-commerce and saw their…read moreratings are average m, but I can tell you their in-person customer service is above standard. A customer was asking several questions to the employee in the parts area of the shop, indicating he was newer to the hobby. He apologized for asking a lot of questions, and the employee said there's no need to apologize. It appeared the employee actually appreciated the intrigue and genuine interest in the hobby. In this case, they were talking about crawlers. We've all been where this customer was - new to the hobby, even if you've taken a long hiatus to be an adult.... But we can all remember the patience given to us when we had seemingly "noob" questions. Because of this, I'll continue my e-commerce purchases with Hobbytown!
