My husband found Needles & Pins on line. We have no connections in the area since we just moved…read morehere. I had several rooms of curtains to be hemmed and four quilts to shorten for twin beds. Lynn was so friendly when I called. She made me feel confident that all the work would be done as asked. She labeled each curtain panel according to the rooms, kept everything organized (I so like that) and did the work in the time we spoke about. All items were clean and neatly folded in my tubs. I would use Lynn again for other work. Her work was quality and was reasonably priced. Thank you Lynn they all look beautiful. As well Lynn is a good lady and has very good views on being honest and is a hard worker. Till next time Lynn. Marjorie S.

Needles and Pins was highly recommended to me by my husband's aunt who lost a lot of weight and had…read moreto have a lot of clothes taken in. I took a bridesmaid dress three weeks before the wedding and a pair of jeans to that seamstress. She pinned the dress to be shortened and taken in on top. She told me to pick it all up in a week and a half due to long weekend. I have a seven month old baby that I bring with me so the fewer trips the better. Friday morning, the day I went to pick up the dress it was the right length (shorter on the right side) but nothing done to the top since the marking pins were exactly where they were when she took the measurements. When I asked the seamstress she lied that she did take it in but she can do more. She promised to have it done by the afternoon even though I said I'll pick it up Monday morning. I drove to her location with my baby asleep in the car at noon on Monday. When I walked in she just started on my dress. She said I was supposed to come in the afternoon and the dress will be ready in 10 minutes. I sat in the car with my sleeping baby for 20 minutes. The lady never apologized for anything. The inner layer of the dress is stitched in and out of the zipper that makes it bunch on my stomach. Jeans patch is hanging a mile inside not trimmed, not finished. I wish I could recommend this place but as you can see it wasn't the right choice for me.

I would have to had gained 10 lbs in one week for this to happen. When I questioned what happened, the response I got from first tailor was a repeated ridiculous response of ohhh, I don't know how that can be, we didn't do anything wrong. Over and over again as if gremlins came in overnight. When I questioned how we were going to financially fix this problem as the dress was ruined and I now had to buy a new one the second tailor became rude and aggressive. This circular conversation continued to waver between gremlins were responsible and nasty, aggressive behavior until I realized this situation was getting ugly. I don't operate at that level, so I paid and left. They got their money and that's all they cared about, so beware!

Took about 10 days (we built in enough time so we didn't ask them to rush or anything) and everything was perfect. The dress fit wonderfully, as they altered it not only to make it shorter but raised the shoulder up for a bit more coverage. They shortened the sleeves on my boyfriends suit and hemmed the pants. Great experience and will certainly come back here for any alterations in the future.
