No more cheap shoes, he scolded me. Buy quality or you will suffer. JEEZ, okay Dr. Voice Of Doom. He recommended Danskos. I had a pair years ago, so I'm good with that. Buying shoes is always a chore, and the few times I've ordered shoes online, I've not had great luck with fits - what a pain to return shoes. So my rule of thumb is don't buy shoes unless you can try them first hand. Especially expensive shoes. Off to the dreaded mall I go. I found what I wanted pretty quickly, and service was provided well, albeit with all the enthusiasm of selling dead fish. PRO TIP: Park near Urban Outfitters / Bahama something or other. Coming to a place like Sherman Brothers is a pleasure. Ken Sherman has always taken the time to properly size me and the results are the Alden Indy boots (3 Pair so far, one on order) are my most comfortable boots. And I have a sizable rotation. Go there. Enjoy. Take your time and let Ken help you choose the perfect pair.

Some wisdom that was passed down to younger generations was to never cheap out on a mattress or…read moreshoes. I had rectified the former, and thought I did with shoes, but coming into Sherman brothers I learned quite a few things. Firstly, the people here are wonderful, polite, courteous, attentive, and were very helpful in all my questions and inquiries. I had been eyeing a pair of Alden 403 Indy boots, and have quite a few pairs of quality mens shoes. However, the Indy boots can be notoriously difficult to size due to the last and shape of the shoe. If fitted correctly, I had heard these were the most comfortable pair that one can own. I had come in twice, once I was helped by Ken and the second time by Jose. The first time being fitted, I got a different size than what Jose recommended in the end. But after careful measuring, sizing, resizing, and resizing some more, I was assisted to get the best fit possible for my strangely sized feet. All in all, it took about an hour and a half, but you just won't get the same kind of experience at another shop. The folks here have been in the trade for decades, and the level of knowledge and experience is just unmatched. If like me, you went to a shop thinking the customer service members knew what they were talking about, you might be suffering with an incorrect size for years. I'd say if it's your first pair of nice dress shoes or boots, come to Sherman brothers first. Even if you were to get the most amazing pair of shoes from another shop, it won't mean anything when you're suffering from walking all day in an ill-fitted pair.

Snakeskin is all the rage this season. So they have plenty of it in several different shades. I indulged in some snake attire. Of course it's all faux snake ,but most is made in real leather.
