This place NEVER disappoints!! I always get a special order and they get it right each time! I am on a low sodium diet therefore I get the chicken and veggies no rice no seasoning/soy just cooked in oil. And it's soo good! This time I also added the fried dumplings which was the original reason I discovered this place. They are so tasty, especially fresh! I personally like them the next day too. Overall, great place! Fast hibachi at a decent price. I got double veggies therefore it runs me around $16. But I eat off of it for about 3 days. Great portions for sharing. Fresh and tasty is their key. The service was ok, but it was a lunch rush. They give you more than enough food and it was good enough that I went the next day as well. This place is a hidden little food gem in Valdosta. I recommend if you want tasty Hibachi styled food ( with out the show) this is your place. I really enjoyed the food. I stopped at Hibachi Express in Valdosta on the way home. It was clean, everything was neat, and the counter person was nice. The menu looked great, and I chose the yakisoba noodles with chicken and vegetables because my husband likes yakisoba noodles. They were good! There was plenty of meat and vegetables, and I'll stop there again. The prices were also pretty good - better than a popeye's 2-piece chicken meal or a hamburger, and the food is definitely tastier! read more

Let me save you some trouble. Go to Wal-mart, half way down the sauce aisle is the Yum Yum Sauce, grab a bottle. Second, go to the frozen veggies and get a bag of mixed stir fry. Third: Go to the meat department. Get either steak (cheapest most gristly cut) OR some cheap white meat chicken. Fourth thing is to get some cheap white rice. Now go home. Cook the rice till it is dry. Cook the veggies till there is no life left in them and all taste the same. Cook your meat until it dry and tough. Most important do not season anything at all....nothing. NOW cover in YUM YUM Sauce. Voila you just cooked like this place. read more

I don't know if the veggies were just not fresh or frozen veggies, but the quality was poor. On top of that I got a stomach ache when I left. If you know me I have a pretty strong stomach. I love, love, love Hibachi! I go about once a week and it is always delicious. The employees are very friendly and they are always welcoming. It is a clean restaurant and the food is affordable for how much they give you. If you get the half order, you could split it between two people! So it is a lot of food! Definitely getting a bang for your buck. I got the shrimp yakisoba noodles (no veggies) and a side of fried rice for like 10$ and it's enough for two people to split for lunch. It's Japanese fast food so I wasn't expecting much but I am pleasantly surprised, the shrimp and fried rice is good, the noodles were just the slightest bit dry but I smothered everything in yum yum sauce anyways so it tasted fine. "Customer service??? Yea no one here has ever heard of it. Here's a little note to the owner: How about not put the least friendliest person at the front counter. I placed an order for crab Rangoon I simply asked the girl could you see if they can lightly fry the Rangoon so it's not so crunchy being that it was for my kids. All she could say was "all I can do is ask the cooks". Not sure when the whole let's make the customer happy thing went out the window but definitely lost here. I called Hibachi Express on Ashley street here in Valdosta Ga and reported that upon opening my cup, (please keep in mind I work indoors where we do not have flying bugs, and the lid on the cup was closed until I opened it),] this is what I found. The first person I spoke with (who had an attitude placed me on hold with out my knowledge) then the second young lady stated the the manager would get back with me without taking my name or number. I am completely done I will be calling the health department and demanding a reasonable explanation for the poor handling of food preparation, and the poor customer service. I called 15 min before closing time and asked if I could make an order for take out and the girl said yes but they close in 15 mins. I told my husband to be there in 15 mins (we live 5 mins away). I never leave reviews, this is the exception. I don't know what it is about Hibachi and their food today, but honestly I don't know what kind of turd they were melting in their kitchen today. This food was straight doo-doo. I ordered a simple item, teriyaki chicken bowl, with an extra teriyaki sauce cup because teriyaki is teriyummy. Anyways, I get my food, go home, and start eating. This chicken must've been mixed with cardboard dust because I swear to god I have never had cotton mouth this bad. The chicken chunks were tiny, squished, stale, and they left an extremely acidic after taste. No flavor in the chicken. I lost more calories chewing and trying to not cut the inside of my throat with this garbage than I gained from eating it. Would've rather just eating the rice by itself but every bite had a small shred of yellow and gray chicken shit in it. I'm currently using the leftovers as an ashtray. The people who put out this obviously expired and over cooked and under seasoned food should be fucking ashamed. EDIT: I just want to clarify that I eat here regularly and usually get the same thing each time, and this is the worst the food has ever tasted. It's decent for the price. Two things to keep in mind it's low price and it's pretty fast service so don't expect the quality of a Japanese steakhouse. The vegetables are a little soggy and the rice a little dry but as I usually tell my wife you get what you pay for. I usually go here once a month or so for a quick lunch and will continue to do so as it beats a burger. read more
