My family loves the Hibachi Express in Winter Haven and because we just moved back to the Auburndale area we wanted to try the Auburndale location. Big Disappointment!! We ordered 4 hibachi meals. 1 shrimp 1 chicken and shrimp and 2 steak and shrimp. The food was barely edible. Everthing was way overcooked. The steak was super tough and the shrimp was like leather and you could hardly chew it. The vegetables were cooked so long it was hard to tell what kind they were. I spent $76 dollars to eat this crap. They should be ashamed for such low quality. Do yourselves a favor, when you want Hibachi Express, go to the Winter Haven location. You will taste the difference with every bite. read more

I've been going here regularly for years, I only order the sushi and it's consistently always been great. It seems to be family run because you see a lot of family faces working there for years, everyone working there seems very sweet, I've never had an issue. I can't speak to takeout or hibachi but their sushi is super well priced and large portions. read more

I ordered takeout for the first time and unfortunately most of my food was inedible. The house salad was covered in water and leaked into the bag filling it with water. The California roll had been placed on top of hot food so the ingredients weren't fresh anymore and the roll completely fell apart. The rice was insanely dry, I tried adding soy sauce which didn't help. The edamame was also filled with water making half of it completely inedible. Extremely disappointed read more

Just us and the boy out and about in the area and noticed this hibachi express place. We go to the one in Winter Haven and Enjoy it, so we thought let's try this place it's closer and may be similar as the menu is very similar. We ordered an app Rock shrimp, Wifey had the Sushi, the boy had the steak and shrimp hibachi and I had to try the steak Yakisoba as that is my meal at the one in WH. The Rock shrimp was pretty much on par in quantity and taste. It was good!!! The sushi was well made and well it's a Cali roll hard to mess that up. It was fresh!!! The hibachi was a nice size and my son enjoyed everything except for the shrimp as they were way over cooked. I tasted them he was correct either that or they weren't fully thawed when cooked as they were hard. Now for the yakisoba, I was a bit disappointed as the steak was hibachi steak large pieces, there were only about 10 pieces and a very small potion of noodles and veggies, lists of onions though had a pile on the side when I was done there were so many. This one was not worth the price. Yakisoba should be a well balanced meal in regard to components, the steak should be smaller and 25-30 pieces should be on the plate with an equal amount of all veggies including the onion. So in comparison between this Auburndale Hibachi Express and the Winter Haven Hibachi Express. App - Equal Sushi - Equal Hibachi - stated by son Winter Haven is YUMMIER Yakisoba - Winter Haven is the clear winner here!!! After a discussion between the 3 of us we decided: If we were going to Hibachi and wanted our normal things, we will be making the extra trip of time over to Winter Haven, but if you live closer to Auburndale and don't want to make the trip over near Legoland in Winter Haven, this place will do as the food was tasty!!! read more

Food was cold today. Went around 1130am and thought we'd get fresh and hot. Cold chicken and rice is what was served....

My husband walked in a bit ago to pick up an Uber eats order and he had to use the bathroom. He asked a worker if the bathroom was open and he said yes so he walked to the bathroom. When he went to open the bathroom a female worker was in the bathroom cleaning and she was like can you close the door and wait a minute so he closed the door. Once she came out of the bathroom she said to him "oh you should really learn how to knock first" If the bathrooms are being cleaned then the door should be left OPEN or there should be some kind of sign to state that a worker is cleaning the bathroom. The attitude that the worker gave my husband was unacceptable. She could have been more polite. There was no need to give an attitude. read more

Good quick service. Good value. Friendly service. I am not sure I can give a "normal" review since we descended upon Hibachi Express with 30 or so parents and young women after a volleyball tournament, so we challenged them. But you know what, they delivered. Each of our orders were basically one parent and one child and we complicated things by having the girls sit at one group table, the dads at another and the moms at a Queen table. It was chaotic, but everyone got their food correctly and it all was well prepared. As you would expect from fast good it was not amazing, but it was perfect for a late night large group dinner. Terrible never again. Crab Rangoon was empty! Plain rice overcooked steak and shrimp. No flavor.

My wife tried the lunch special of shrimp and the chicken. Each meal comes a large portion of rice that was unflavorable. Mixed vegetables containing mainly broccoli tasted ok. The main part of the meal was shrimp and chicken which was very chewy. All lunch meals only flavor is teriyaki sauce. It was just ok would not go back, much better places exist. read more

This is the worst Hibachi I have ever had in my entire life. The steak was in baby pieces cooked for way too long and it tasted like dog food, to say the least. It's not the first time I've had bad Steak from this location either, but this time it was like a two year old cooked it... I really want a refund since I bought 4 MEALS for $50. I hope they change the meat they buy and see my complaint.:( read more

Let me start off by saying that this sushi is very good. However I see a huge problem when it comes to the sauces. Below I have posted a picture of the eel sauce they offer you. They charge $.25 per container. This is not $.25 worth, and quite frankly is a huge waste of plastic. Their excuse for charging so much for so little was that it's very expensive eel sauce - well then, maybe don't buy very expensive eel sauce to serve to your customers. Food is fire though, prices are good, just sucks that that eel sauce is so expensive. read more

Grand opening 29 Jan. So this location is pretty busy. It sits next to a nail salon pizza place and dollar general. Seating inside is a bit cramped. They offer sushi and hibachi. The staff were obviously new and still trying to get the hang of things. There is a sushi bar inside with soda fountain. The workers were all wearing masks. Needless to say they were busy for a grand opening on a Friday night. We called ahead for takeout and food didn't take long to pickup. There's no hibachi tables here btw so no shows. Seating is limited. Prices seem fair for what you get. Im guessing the business is mainly geared for quick pickup orders. Potstickers were ok, in-between pan fried and steamed. Dipping sauce was good. The hibachi was good, nothing spectacular. Spring rolls were very good. The chicken yakisoba was pretty darn good. It's also located near a WaWa so we picked up some drinks there to take home with our meal. We'll have to come back and try some other food. There are other hibachi express in Lakeland and winter haven so we looked up those to find the menu to place the order. Overall a good start. read more

Food is consistently good. For the good Sushi Rolls they are a bit expensive but it's the only place around here.

The rice, veggies, and gyoza were PERFECTION, but the chicken was so, so, dry. Scratched on the way down. I saw similar reviews about the meat. I know they just opened, so hopefully the quality will improve and we'll be back! read more

Customer service IS HORRIBLE! Ordered a $124 dinner, got it delivered only to find out one KIDS MEAL was missing. Go up to resolve the issue saying there were only four and they said we lied. The cameras showed no error when 3 employees stood there blocking the bagging area. They got on the phone with DoorDash saying we wanted "free food." It was already paid for and needed the issue resolved WHICH WAS NOT. The wife of the manager getting loud and pointing her finger to try and prove her point. Threatening to call the police they are THE WORST ESTABLISHMENT to order food from and we have ordered multiple times. Just SHAMEFUL and downright POOR SERVICE ON ALL LEVELS! I honestly didn't have high expectation for this place, but... wow! I loved the sushi and the noodles! I would totally recommend my friends to come here! Also its very clean, you can tell once you walk in and you can see somewhat the kitchen, so you can at least see how they prep your food as well. So ho grab your food!
