After coming to the area looking for Korean restaurants close enough to the Giants' Stadium, my…read morepartner and I couldn't help but be excited to find yet another Thai restaurant we'd yet to try. Naturally, my partner went with a massively sized fish and I ordered my usual tofu & vegetable red curry with brown rice. I was quite shocked that they even had brown rice, as nearly every other Thai restaurant I've been to in Australia never offered any in their menus. I truly wish I could give a higher rating as the food was quite good, and they had been SO kind and accommodating when I mentioned my food allergies and dietary restrictions (vegan and vegetarian options available!). The texture and spice levels were beautiful, and not to mention the tofu was done exactly to my liking! But I was a bit bummed out that none of the drinks I tried ordering were available (they were out of nearly every alcoholic base). I gave it a miss and then opted for just water. Though I did keep eyeing the vast number of bottles on display behind me... On top of that, I was never made aware of just how large the 'large' sized rice bowl would be in terms of portion. Normally a cup would be the portion for small, and large would be double that. I received a rice bowl larger than the bowl of curry I ordered. Larger than my head, even! My partner did his best to help me out, but even then it proved to be just too much rice. I think I'd probably recommend that you call in first just to make sure they're in stock with certain ingredients and/or drinks if you're planning meetup anytime in the future. The waiter was absolutely lovely, but it's going to be a miss for me.

Been walking past this busy restaurant many time and finally tried it…read more I ordered Lao papaya salad, crispy pork belly and Lao trditional soup. The salad was very spicy even though I asked for medium spicy. The crispy pork was nice and tasty. The soup has a lovely smell and taste. The beef could be a little bit more tender. The service was good and faster then expected consider how busy they were. Overall was a nice restaurant. Might come back again to try other dish on the menu.

Chilli Jam enjoys the reputation of 'fanciest' Thai restaurant in Concord. Not a bad title to have,…read moreconsidering the plethora of Thai restaurants along Majors Bay Rd. The dark mood lighting, cool furniture and cliché Eastern decorations, gives the impression that Chilli Jam is a seriously suave establishment. Unfortunately, the service does not match the décor. It is sloppy, disinterested, and unobservant (you'll probably need to wave someone down a few times before getting a fresh coke). Perhaps Chilli Jam should worry more about service and less about decoration. The menu is quite interesting, and differs greatly from other Thai restaurants I've visited in Concord. But while they may have more on offer, the quality is no different from the cheaper Thai restaurants on Majors Bay Rd. The food is decent, but seriously overpriced, and the noise level is often unbearable and annoying. The only thing that keeps me coming back to Chilli Jam is the spicy papaya salad. It is so good, but its severe heat means you wont taste much of your other dishes.

Passing by this restaurant many times, the reason to try is its decoration…read more we came in a bit early for dinner and some staff were still having their dinner. Service is OK, but we had to wave our hands to draw attention. The dishes we ordered look better than their taste. Soft shell crab is standard, but the dessert, custard and sticky rice, is just sweet, sweet & sweet... The price is not cheap because they charge a premium for good-looking decoration and dishes.

We scored a good park down a side street so we were in a pretty good mood before we walked in. The place is huge. I think it may have been a bank in years gone by. Unlike other restaurants, the ceiling had sound proofing, soft chairs and a short wall running the length of the restaurant with large cushions. Whilst there weren't too many people there last night, I can imagine that the restaurant is reasonably quiet with lots of people. The decor is good and what impresses is the Tuk Tuk at the front door. The service was excellent with plenty of attention to refilling our water jug and providing ice. As for the food.....really good. We paid an extra dollar for the mixed entree. Next time we will concentrate on the chicken satays. Then we tried two dishes we had not had before. The Choo Chee lamb was beautiful. The roast duck basil had the right amount of spice and heat for us too. Not quite sure what the dessert was as it was set. It had coconut milk and a non sweet jam as a base. The waiter said "Are you ready for dessert? It is yummy." I agreed. Not so sure about my dining buddy who was drinking coca cola and possibly wanted something sweeter ;-) The parking is a bit of a problem but it is worth the walk if you do have to park a little further down the road.

This restaurant has extremely poor service. My family and I went to the restaurant for a family…read moredinner for Father's Day. We placed our order and waited for our order as one would expect. We waited for about 90minutes. Unbeknownst to us not a single dish from our order had not even been made. It had been completely forgotten and we had essentially gone to a restaurant to sit around at a table and do absolutely nothing as we waited for food that was not going to come any time soon. It was extremely infuriating as we watched all tables around us who had come in after us get there food and when asked about where our orders where, we were simple told that it was coming. Eventually we gave up and went to leave notifying the cashier to cancel the order because we could simply not play the waiting game any longer. This was where the horrifying information that not a single dish from our order was made in 90 minutes was revealed. What an absolute disgrace of a restaurant service. No notification or acknowledgement of whether or not order had been made or if they were even coming. I could not tell you if the food was good or not because our food never arrived. I could however tell you that service is absolutely rubbish and horrific. If you intend on eating here please be warned that they are some what understaffed and provide terrible service. Regards, THE INFURIATED CUSTOMER WHO WAS LEFT TO STARVE FOR 90 MINUTES BECAUSE MY BLOODY FOOD NEVER ARRIVED BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER MADE!!!
