Pretty cool! Super nostalgic. Fun for all the kids, the grown ones also! Lol. Had a 2, 5, 7 and 13 year old with me.

Saw a post on Facebook Kona and was ready to check this place out! Hi Score - run by a laid back guy, super chill, and friendly. Considering I know of only one other pinball on the island, this place is Awesome! All games are in great shape, no sluggish response, and one fee gets you free play. Pinvall tournaments, Karaoke, drinks, snacks, hreat place to chill. Highly recommend. Check em out!

I stopped by HI Score for their Tuesday pinball tournament while I was in town on vacation. They were super welcoming and friendly, it's a really cool place and the games seemed very well maintained and played nicely. Will definitely be back again next time I'm in town!

Unfortunately, the customer service was a major disappointment. I agree with Kwan's Yelp review on that matter. During our stay, one of my shirts accidentally went over the balcony and landed on a roof below. I called the front desk and asked if someone could retrieve it. No one ever followed up with me. I called again the next day and was told that it would be retrieved, yet once again, nobody followed through or delivered it to my room. I ultimately left without the shirt. That should have been a very simple request to resolve. The first night, the smoke alarm in our room began flashing an extremely bright white strobe light periodically throughout the night. It was bright enough to illuminate the room and was very disruptive to our sleep. I contacted the front desk and was told that this was "normal" and that they could not do anything about it. The following night, the exact same thing happened. This time I recorded it and showed the video to a manager. He appeared genuinely baffled by how intense the flashing was. Clearly, what we were experiencing was not something that should simply have been dismissed as normal. I also had an interaction with one of the front desk employees whose response and demeanor were noticeably grumpy. It did not appear to be personally directed toward me, but it certainly did not reflect the level of hospitality I would expect from a Marriott resort. There were several positives. The Honu breakfast was good, the bar was enjoyable, and the pool and spa were great. The resort grounds were probably one of the strongest aspects of the property. The bed, however, was quite hard and uncomfortable for my preference. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and resorts over the years. This property has a lot going for it physically, but the service side needs significant improvement. A beautiful property can only carry the experience so far. Better communication, follow-through, and hospitality from the front desk staff would have made a substantial difference in our stay.

Mari was very helpful, friendly, and accommodating, which made for a great first impression. The room was clean and spacious. It also had a small kitchenette area with a microwave, mini fridge, and sink, which was convenient during our stay. Amenities include a pool, gym, and washer and dryer. Nothing fancy, but definitely nice to have, especially for a longer stay. The complimentary breakfast was decent, with hot food options that changed daily, so there was some variety each morning. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is $25 per day, which adds to the overall cost.

This place was absolutely dreamy and the staff was so kind. We stayed in the cottage and really loved the privacy it offered. We had our own spacious lanai to watch the sunrise each morning. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. They made special accommodations for us vegetarians which I greatly appreciated. Coffee was so good and the view from the dining table was breathtaking. As far as location, you're definitely a little off the beaten path which is what we wanted. There are some small shops and restaurants to walk to, but for the most part you'll probably be hopping in your car to head to the beach and busier parts of the island. Hawaii is meant to be explored, no matter what inn or hotel you decide to make your home base. But Holualoa Inn is truly magical and I'll never forget my time there.

While we ultimately had too many people to make that work, we knew from our first visit that we wanted this special property, and the wonderful people who steward it, to be part of our nuptial celebration. We ended up hosting our rehearsal dinner here in September 2022 and, my friends, it was absolutely magical. The property itself is stunning, with a gorgeous tree canopy and colorful blooms everywhere. There are plenty of great places for a golden hour photoshoot, which we took full advantage of! They waited patiently for us to finish our photos then ushered us to our tables, which were beautiful decorated with 'olena flowers from their garden. There were so many beautiful, special touches that went above and beyond our expectations. For example, when we arrived Chef Erika adorned my husband and I with ti leaf leis they had made for us. As we sat down for dinner Chef Erika gave a Hawaiian blessing and thanked the land for providing such a bounty for us to enjoy. The food, oh my goodness the food... it was SO GOOD!! I love that they source as much as possible from their own property and from other local farmers and ranchers. Everything was so fresh and prepared beautifully. Plus, they were able to accommodate my nephew's very severe nut and dairy allergy without any issues, which we all really appreciated. They let us bring our own wine for a very reasonable corkage fee and the bottle service was gracious and timely, with never an empty glass. They also nailed the timing of the dinner, we never felt rushed nor was there too much time between courses. It was just perfect! Everyone in our party was totally blown away. They were expecting the typical rehearsal dinner at a restaurant or something and this overdelivered in the best possible way. It felt so intimate and private, just what we wanted. We all still talk about what an amazing night it was. Jesse, Madeline, and Chef Erika were such wonderful hosts, and they were great to communicate with before the event via email too. The team here truly embodies the aloha spirit. We are so very grateful for the experience they curated for us on our special night. I highly recommend Starseed Ranch for any special occasion gathering you might be hosting!! Their property, their team, their food, their aloha, is second to none.

The food and venue were both incredible. Their team kept us on track throughout the night and acted as pseudo- day of planners. The team was incredibly responsive and patient with us as we made decisions about food, timing, and other vendors. They provided advice and answered all questions we had to help us create the perfect experience for us for our intimate wedding. We appreciated that everything could be handled in house by the Heartbeet/Pu'uwai team. They handled the bartending, cake cutting, servers, cleanup, and joined in some of the dancing! Plus, the food was INCREDIBLE. We had two kids, under 10, who can be picky, but they ate everything on offer! A true testament to delicious options that were curated for our event. We opted for family style, for our small group, and an extra protein because we couldn't decide on just one! The family style serving option helped us all feel at home, we loved it. Pu'uwai Gardens held a beautiful backdrop for the evening, including the covered area for eating and dancing, that included cute lighting, and the build in covered bar- stunning. The land and tress were also beautiful, as was the view of the water. The Heartbeet/Pu'uwai team overdelivered for our day and we are so grateful to have chosen them to host our reception.
