When I left the salon I wanted to give them 3 stars. The service was good and the only real issues were that I thought they were quite expensive and my husbands pedi wasn't great (his pedi lady dug too far down into the side of his big toe nail which caused some problems for a few days after). However two of my gel finger nails just simply dropped off four days after my mani. Six days later the remaining gel on the other nails is lifting and chipping. The gel mani lasted LESS time than standard polish! I'm very disappointed. read more

I've never had a mani/pedi and I am not sure I will again after this. The nail tech made my foot bleed with the exfoliating which still hurts after a week. My nails were bubbly and didn't even cover the whole nail. It looked awful and I'm really upset about the whole experience. It cost me $100 and they chipped on multiple nails within 24-36 hours. I was told gel would last longer but, I guess that was wrong. He didn't talk to me the entire time even when I told him I had never had a mani/pedi before and didn't know the routine. read more

Was in NC for vacation and needed nails done so I found this place close by. Got in right away. My dip lasted about 48 hours - 3 of my 10 nails are chipped already (back home I get my nails done every 3 weeks and never have chips in between those 3 weeks). Mind you, I'm on vacation, so taking it easy, not doing drastic things with my nails and STILL they chipped after 48 hours. Also, at this salon, they dip your fingers into the powder dip jar directly (where every other customer has dipped their nails). I only recently learned how unsanitary that is. At home, my salon pours out a little dip into a separate medicine cup, but at HI Nails they dip it right into the main jar. I don't recommend this place. read more

I asked for a really good technician. She happened to be the manager. She was all over the place in the salon, constantly telling the front desk girls what they were doing wrong. She didn't speak to me. Did a bad job. It took 2 hours. Unbelievable, for this place. I have never left a bad review, but don't let her do your nails. She shouldn't be doing them. Salon is professional, and communicative by confirming my appointments. Salon is cute, clean and supports mask wearing and washing hands during COVID. Hi Nails hasn't raised prices to recoup lost revenue. They simply want to do a nice job! read more

This was horrible from the beginning. All I got was commercials for why I needed to spend more money on a simple pedicure. Up-selling, up-selling, up-selling. Tech was sweet, but I came out of salon with unshaped nails, part of nails not painted on edges, dry skin everywhere, and a manager defending the whole debacle with"should have spent more money." I went for a mani/pedi with my momma and 2 sisters on mother's day weekend. We were seated very quickly. It was walk in's only and we were all in chairs within 5mins. They had many choices and great scents for the massages. Also my eyebrows came out beautifully! They made us all feel so welcomed from the moment we came in to when we left. I wish that I could give a better rating, but I was not impressed with the service that I received here. I signed in with plenty of time before their posted closing time at seven. When I asked what I wanted, I indicated a gel nail manicure and a regular pedicure with nail art on the big toe. I received was the pedicure only- no nail art, and nobody did my manicure. They were cleaning up which is fine - but then was pushed out the door with still an hour before posted closing. I guess what the customer asks for is not very important. read more

Went in yesterday with a friend and they told us it would be a bit of a wait. No problem. Until it became over an hour waita dnwhen we finally sat down we were rushed through. We paid $49 for a pedicure and it lasted less then 30 minutes. They were obviously busy and short staffed. What they should have done is not take anyone else as we were rushed through and I ended up with ripped cuticles and an emery board burn on my toe. All of this could have been avoided had they slowed down. The hot towels they put on were on less than 2 minutes and then off they went. The staff was very friendly but that doesn't make up for the service that was provided. Very disappointing. read more

Very nice experience today with a slightly upgraded pedicure and a basic manicure. I had not been here for several years and was very pleased to see that the interior looked like it had been completely redone! Very nice! They used plastic bags in the foot baths and the tools all came from a plastic package which is reassuring. No wait and the man that took care of me was very nice. The two people I had contact with were Loan and Jimmy, two very pleasant, friendly people. They made me feel important and welcome to their establishment. Loan actually performed my pedicure, and gave a perfect one! She displayed concern and gentleness, and helped me in and out of the chair, since I am a senior citizen and probably look like I need help :-) It made me wonder if she had ever worked with the elderly in the past, but she is very young, so she can't have a very long past. I got the $45 deluxe pedicure. In Tampa (near downtown) I can get a better quality pedicure for $25, so I thought this place was a little overpriced for what it is. The place is clean and tools came out of a plastic package which was a good sign. My nail person seemed unsure at times and I'm not sure she had been trained, but my nails ended up looking fine. She gave a long foot massage which was nice. I thought it was strange that all of the spa ingredients were in little samples packages. Each one had to be opened and squeezed out. read more

I've been going to Hi Nails for almost 10 years every 3-4 weeks for gel nails. I've got to know the staff very well and I could not imagine going anywhere else. They are such an awesome group - personable, entertaining, and talented. All their equipment is sterile and they really care about the quality of work they do. I bite my nails and they know exactly how to sculpt them in order to give me long lasting beautiful nails. They're always up-to-date on the latest trends and fashion and can do anything you want. Jewel and Kim are the ladies to see if you want intricate designs - they can recreate a picture or come up with something wild and trendy off the tops of their heads. I was a walk in for a full set of gel nails, and sat down to wait my turn. Two girls came in after me, and were told it would be twenty minutes. Cut to an hour later, I am still sitting there after the two girls have been taken back. After seeing my displeasure, they asked if I had some errands to run, to come back. Yeah, I just left. I received a gift card from my son for Christmas last year and decided to get my nails done for my wedding here. I have been hear before over a year ago with no issues except that at that time the owner was to bossy for me towards her clients. This time I had a mani/pedi. To my surprise because of the new renovations, it was now an over priced salon. My pedicure was without very much dry skin removal unless you paid an extra $10 and then you were treated better and offered water. So my daughter fixed my feet when I got home. I had a manicure done with a polish white tip put on and then a clear coat. The gentlemen had to fix several nails before I even left that day. Then next day I noticed that some of the clear was lifting and started to peel back and the white tip also started peeling back. I called the salon and told them and all they offered me at first was to come back so they could fix it, I wanted a store credit, they wouldn't do that. I live 35 minutes away and was getting married in 2 days. So, I thought well I guess i'll have to take the time to run back out there so I called back and asked if they could redo the nails in gel because the other product that the owner was going to use to fix the issue was the same and I sure didn't want this peeling to happen the next day so she said she would but would charge me $20, which was at a discounted rate. I flipped out and told then that its ridiculous that I had to go back and then to pay for it to last longer was to much. I will never go to them again!! read more
