Small burger place but the best burgers, fresh and local owner.wait my be a few min , everything made to order!
So friendly and awesome service! Eatery has table and bench chairs to share with others and open space. The burgers are so tempting to order all but next time. We had the basil pesto and arugula burger, onion rings and French fries. So so good and so yummy!
This was by far one of the best tasting burgers I've had on the island! So let me get straight to it.... HI Burger is located on the bottom floor of an open building with other food vendors. So expect street parking. Luckily, it's the first food vendor you'll see. And within the eatery area, there are patio table for everyone. So don't expect fine dining. MY ORDER: #12 Onion Rings ($9.50): Well breaded and crunchy! It also came with a spicy catsup which adds a good tingle to your tongue. Shareable! #11 Chili Cheese Fries ($10): Whenever I see chili cheese fries (ccf) on the menu, I jump at the opportunity. And I don't care what others think, but my baseline comparison is with Tommy's Chili Cheese Fries, in which I love! However, HI Burger's ccf is way different imo. They use real chili with no beans, YES! Beefy chili too! The fries were home-style crunchy and went perfect together. I'd definitely order these again. #1 The Basil Pesto Burger ($19.50): Oh man, WORTH IT!!! The bun was toasted and soft. The patty was thick, nice and fatty and juicy. Add that melted swiss cheese, tomato, aioli, and the piles of that basil pesto. MMM MMM this burger was an unexpected surprise! Loved it! SERVICE: Welcoming and pleasant, no issues. Place your order, they give you a pager. Pick it up, or they call you, or I've seen them drop off your order at your table. VISIT THEM and try these please: I gotta try that Kahuku Shrimp burger, or their hot chicken, or their Kalua Pork sando. They all just looked hella good! Man, I tell ya, just staring at the menu board was a hard decision. Therefore I just went with #1. Their specialty drinks also looked like they were worth trying as well. So please, try everything for me and let me know what you think.
Many different burgers are on their menu; I kept it simple with a classic cheeseburger. They cook to order - nothing is pre-cooked and you can tell! It is so very good! The fries were great - more than I could eat. I loved everything, and the service was very good, too!

The loaded fries options are diverse as well even though we went just for the garlic ones - they did not disappoint! Service: B. Pretty good! At the beginning they were there on point ready to take our order. Later one, trying to find someone at the front to help was time-consuming. Ambiance: B. A cute burger spot with optional outside seating for fresh air. Imagine a typical burger stand with Hawaiian flair! Dietitian Dorothy's Pro Nutrition Tip: Definitely recommend splitting a burger (and fries if you can't resist) but also side it with a salad to share. With all of this high-caloric munchies, you balance your meal out with low-calorie fresh produce salad. You can make it a burger salad!
Wow! So good we came back and ordered the Pineapple Burger; so juicy and flavorful! We also enjoyed the Arugula Burger and the Chilli Fries. The owners are so friendly and hard working. Located next to the Oasis Hotel. Parking can be tight, but easy walking from the tourist areas. The interior seating is shared with other restaurants. You'll pay a little more for quality, however this is definitely the best burger in Waikiki! I highly recommend.
My wife and I stopped by HI Burger today, and we're already looking forward to coming back! We had the Classic Burger and the Cheeseburger - both were fresh, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Simple ingredients done really well. Friendly service, great food, and definitely worth a stop if you're in Waikīkī. Mahalo!
We stopped in for a quick lunch. We ordered cheeseburgers. They were delicious and full of flavor and very juicy. They have a limited seating area. Service was friendly, it took about 15 minutes to get a burger, but these are thick burgers and definitely worth the wait!
Man, the first time I tried their burger, was so good. Wife and I had shared a burger the first time as she had gotten it from her coworker. Oh my gosh, that first time was so good, the burger had so much flavor. So we said, omg we gotta go back ourselves and check em out. Boom, we ended up visiting on Sunday night, 8/10. HI burger located on Lewers street. It's a one way, so u gotta enter from Kalakaua. We decided to do take out, so we ended up just pulling up right out front. Looks like it's only based on street parking. So, it was a little cute food hall. There were 4, 5 other places to eat inside. I never even knew this place existed lol. Lady was nice. I ordered cheeseburger and onion rings, and the wife got a classic, onion rings, and a coconut milk coffee. Wrong move, don't drink coffee at night if you going have to end up sleeping. Lol food is made to order, which is awesome, you know it's fresh. Waited a good 10 minutes ish maybe. Took out our food, drove out to Queens beach side, looked for street parking to meet the sister, we planned to stay out cuz the wife was going metal detecting. So we pigged out in our car, lol. The burger was just as it was from the first time, juicy, flavorful, so good. I really liked the onion rings, it was so good, crispy, don't fall apart. Wife said she like jack in the box onion rings better. To me, tasted the same, the crispyness, but I think this one has a seasoning, more flavor, but I love Jack in the box onion rings too. So fulfilling. I normally don't finish such a big meal like that. It was so good, I smashed everything. Oh the total for our order was $67. Very pricey, fyi, but it is what it is. When I got to the last couple bites of my burger tho, started to have like a hint of old burger taste. I don't know, maybe I was hungry that I didn't make a big deal out of it and just smashed everything, but it did start to have a hint of old burger taste in my last couple bites. Lol But I still finished it, and was still good. Would we go back again? Yes, maybe not make our way there and plan it, maybe spontaneously or randomly. Go check them out, but make sure you check out the prices first.
Walking around town trying to find something to eat. Tried out this spot. But damn this was the best burger I have ever had. The meat so well seasoned and tender as hell. Bruh. This place knows what they're doing! So much so that I didn't even get a burger, I got the Kahlua Pork Sandwich with fries, almost no survivors from my meal. The pork sandwich was stacked with pork and red slaw and both were full of flavor! I never wanted it to end and I will stand by my decision that it hit the spot more than a burger. Even on a sleepy afternoon, they didn't slack and put love and flavor into their food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Shakira talked about the hips don't lie? Well the smells from HI Burger don't lie either, they lure you in like sirens but are a lot nicer to you!
Honestly this was the BEST food we had while on Oahu! It doesn't look like much honestly but the staff is friendly and they go above and beyond. There is seating but it is shared with all the vendors so be prepared if it's a busy night you might have to wait for a spot. Being gluten free they made my burger on a bed of lettuce and it was so good! I added a fried egg to my burger and it was cooked beautifully it was honestly the best. Somewhat expensive for the portions, but otherwise out of this world delicious. The staff make the burgers fresh by grinding each burger patty right in the kitchen and seasoning it from there. The staff are extremely kind and knowledgeable, and can help you make a choice off the menu quickly. Despite being busy, they were also very quick! The restaurant itself was also very cozy. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and spaces for both large parties and small. read more

For some odd reason I had been feeling very burgery as of late and I have no idea why. Regardless, we landed upon HI Burger and it certainly hit the spot. I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of onion rings. While majority of the burger was delicious and cooked well, I found some salt bombs and had to eat around those. Onion rings (and its sauce) on the other hand were amazing so that was one of the saving graces. Even the fries were great! Service is pretty good and there is seating inside and out on the patio. If you're feeling like a burger I would recommend coming here for sure! read more
If you're ready for one of the best burgers ever, come here. Lawd!!! At 17 bucks, it's a pricey burger, but worth every penny! It was soooo juicy (running down my hand) and the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were so fresh. The sign says 'not pre-cooked, made to order' and you can taste! And I love to old skool crinkle cut fries! The service was excellent as well and didn't take long to cook. Loved it and would definitely return! The area to eat is small, a few picnic tables so be prepared to take it to go if already filled up. read more

Here for a little R&R and wife wanted a good burger. We came across this place. Menu was simple so we knew it would be worth a try. This place has the best burgers we've had through all our visits here in Waikiki. P-30 is an aw some cook! Made the food exactly as my wife asked!!! His partner Foe, was just as awesome. Great customer service from these two gentlemen! I'd hire them if I had a place. The location is super chill. No frills, just great food with great service. But they had some good music going on in the shared space: I highly recommend this place for burgers, truffle fries, and onion rings!! read more

Incredible find, the same couple runs the drink/coffee stand and HI burger. Very sweet couple who previously ran a popular burger place in Korea. They were carving the meat when we arrived and they also make the kahuku shrimp patty with fresh chopped shrimp from Kauai. The burger was a great deal at $16, we also tried the onion rings (fried fresh with their own tomato based sauce l) and the coconut coffee. It tasted like a frappe at first but it had a few shots of strong espresso mixed in and was absolutely strong enough to keep me going all afternoon. The little dining area for this ultra mini food hall was clean and big enough to seat our group of 8 including a stroller. Can't wait to go back and try the other burger options. read more

Pretty good burgers. I do like mine a bit more seasoned but isn't it always just fun to add pineapple to anything while in Hawaii. Staff was quiet but nice. Food was made to order so took a minute, came out piping hot and yummy. Not opposed to going again if in the area. read more
