For example, I had a mild case of shingles, primarily affected the area of the frontal portion of the left side of the scalp. The shingle did not affect the eye. I dealt with the after effect, Post Hepatic Neuralgia, nerve /scalp inflammation, causing continuous picking and scratching to eliminate the constant shedding of the buildup of skin tissue, which also aggravated the nerve endings, which kept fueling the whole process. For two yeas I kept fighting this Post Hepatic Neuralgia syndrome. Finally, I decided to pick at this 10mm area until the nerve endings were so sensitive that the mere touching of this inflamed area was identical to touch as the original Shingle nerve sensitivity previously experienced. At this point I suggested to Dr. Elbert, NP that we attact the actual nerve endings, freezing the nerve. She agreed, and the results were phenomenal.
