We had such a great experience working with Brenda on our primary bathroom remodel. We heard about…read moreher from a friend, and we're so happy we choose her for our project. Before contacting Brenda, we got a few quotes. Brenda's price came in at less than half of other quotes, and the quality is just as good, or in most cases, better than the other companies. Plus, they finished in less time that was originally estimated! We couldn't be happier with the finished project and the process.
Brenda worked with us to make sure that our style and preferences were reflected in the final piece. We got to choose a lot of the pieces like the mirrors, vessel sinks, faucets, light fixtures, tile, and paint. Brenda was always there to make sure that everything would work together and made many suggestions that we ended up incorporating into the final project. Her and Andy had no problem doing the electrical or plumbing work, and they were quick, efficient, and always had open communication. We knew when they were coming each day and when they would finish for the day. When there was a delay in getting some parts, we were told immediately. When some things in the original plan wouldn't work for whatever reason, Brenda worked with us on finding solutions. She was on site pretty much every day, which was really great. And they are very respectful with the rest of the house and were cognizant of us having small toddlers as well. Very professional. The whole process was so smooth.
I want to highlight the quality of the material used in this project. The cabinets are solid wood (pine and/or walnut, I think?). Very polished, very smooth, very sturdy. The doors are all soft close and glide very smoothly. The tiles for the floor look and feel like real wood but don't have the downsides of using real wood, which is awesome! The grout complements the tiles perfectly. The shower tiles are heavy and put together very well, and all surfaces in the shower have a slight downward slope so water doesn't pool anywhere, even in the inset. The shower tile also extends to the window sill, so even if it rains, the drywall won't get wet. All faucets are water-saving, but don't feel like it, which is great!
I also want to highlight the meticulous care and attention to detail they both had. Every tile that was laid, from the floor to the shower, was held in place to ensure they were all straight. When they demo'd our shower, they found a lot of mold and took care of it quickly and laid down multiple layers to prevent mold from growing there again. When they saw how wonky our electrical work was (don't even get me started on the previous owners of this house...), they redirected the wiring so that it made sense. Our walls and doors were painted by hand. Everything was measured and cut to fit exactly. We took out the double-door entrance to the bathroom and they were able to fill in the hinge spaces, sand, and paint so that we can't even tell hinges were there in the first place. When we had minor changes or additions to the project, they worked with us and were transparent with how it would change the schedule and the budget. There were no surprises.
Both Brenda and Andy were also just nice people and pleasant to work and talk with. We're eventually going to remodel another bathroom and our entire downstairs, and Brenda will be the first person we contact for those projects. Her style, eye, and attention to detail - all at a fair price and speed - make her our top choice for future projects. Lastly, she's well-connected. When we had some house issues not even related to the project, we asked her to help and she gave us contacts of people who could help us out - and they all did a great job too!
It's hard to find people who truly care before, during, and after a big project like this, and Brenda does exactly that. All at a fair price with high quality work and material with a very reasonable timeline - what else could you ask for?
