However,…read morewhen I arrived at the salon, the stylist was unable to provide an estimate, saying they could only determine the total cost after completing the service. I explained that my budget could go up to $260, and I was even open to other services within that range, but they refused to give any clarity on pricing. Instead, they told me they couldn't proceed if I wasn't fully committed to the balayage. Then, they outright refused to provide me with any service. First, they blamed the confusion on hiring a new employee, but when the owner got involved, she refused to apologize. Instead, she boasted about running a successful business for eight years with 2,000 clients and went as far as telling me that I was no longer a customer--while I was still in the store. I left feeling humiliated and with the following questions: If the subtotal is $140, what is the total cost? (I was willing to pay up to $300, yet the website provides no clear pricing details.) Why was my time wasted when this could have been clarified over the phone? Was I refused service based on my appearance? How much does it cost to treat a customer with basic respect in front of the staff?

First, very cute play on words! Love!…read more Second, the theme of the whole place fits! Love! Anyway. Sometimes when you go into a place you really get a great style and that's okay, but this place has some of the most genuine people I have ever met. I love Cleveland for this very reason. The warmth and kindness isn't even contrived to get you to think they're amazing, these people are seriously warm and kind. I called up and talked to a man whose name I regretfully didn't get and he told me he could see me almost right away. I told him I had an issue that I had my dogs with me and needed to park where I could see him, but he told me I could bring them in with me! He was just so gracious about it, too. He even greeted me by name when I walked in. Just so kind. I need to tell you how beautiful this place is before I forget. It's very industrial, but not without a bit of coziness. The wood accents are gorgeous and everything just FITS. Bravo to the designer. This is a place I could come to twice a week if I lived here (or, if they moved to NYC). Ha ha. Madeline did my hair and she is just gorgeous. Dimples and beautiful hair and smile. She had a really genuine warmth to her as well. I just really loved that she was my stylist. I just went in for a blowout as usual. I'm so fortunate to have found this new go-to place (when I'm here). Madeline used gorgeous Paul Mitchell products on my hair that smelled SO good. I forgot how much I loved their product because no one uses it anymore and that's a shame because it is awesome for my hair. She had the latest tools and really took her time and made sure I loved my hair. Which I SO did. She was amazing, my hair was amazing AND affordable and in the cutest part of the city. I really just lucked out here. If you need beautiful hair come to this warm, welcoming, genuine place. You will not regret it for a second! I can't wait come back!

PLEASE NOTE~ when I arrived today, before my appointment, I had a beautiful head of healthy, waist length hair!!!! I told Stacey I wanted to cut 3" off of the length & add some fun textured layers. I brought in half a dozen detailed photos of what I was seeking & discussed it with her at length before we began. I am now left with the DISASTER OF A NIGHTMARE you see in the photos. I'm utterly distraught. When I calmly tried to show her the GIANT HOLE she left chopped into my hair, she kept trying to hide it by moving my hair around & then finally disappeared in the back. The manager/owner? Came out & said he'd comp the cut & offered to cut more off to fix the huge hole in my hair but I was so shook up I was trying not to bawl, and I declined more being cut off because I couldn't fathom losing more hair... he then got very cold & dismissive... so I left, basically in tears. Do NOT trust this salon. Honestly, I can't help but feel like this was somehow spiteful or something....

I was extremely skeptical about coming in during COVID. However, a clever friend tipped me off that they are less busy during two times: early mornings and around rush hour. I've been here a handful of times, and I swear, all the women that work here are lovely, skilled and talented. I felt as safe as I possibly could have during this weird time in our world. This is not one of those reviews that has an extreme biased because I secretly work at the salon or one of them is a good friend of mine. I found this salon by looking online at cleveland's top hair salons and this was ranked in the top 5. Now, historically I have not had the smoothest rides when it comes to hair salons. Usually, I wait an hour after my appointed time before they even start on my hair and I feel like just another number that is paying someone's rent. Usually they don't EVER do my hair they way I ask and I end up in a frenzy with the stylist and end up looking like mustard and ketchup. But this time was magically different! Manesha, my new hair stylist (I'm proud to say) took such good care of me. Being a natural hair person, I am picky when it comes to who handles my hair. Not everyone knows what they're doing when it comes to my natural curls! I got my hair colored as well as a half highlight and it turned out absolutely fabulous! She catered to what I HAD IN MIND and she even offered me a complimentary beverage and snack. She gave me a head message after she shampooed me/during the hair process and she LISTENED to what I had to say. I felt truly appreciated as a customer when I was there and I GREATLY recommend anyone to go in and enjoy the same treatment! They are also priced very reasonably and you truly get what you pay for!

My cousin wanted to get her hair done for Prom, and found this place on her own through internet searches. She made a reservation based on good reviews she read. We got there a bit early and they got her in right away. She showed her stylist a photo of the kind of hairstyle she wanted, which was braids in the front connecting to a bun in the back (I'm doing a poor job of describing it, but it's a fairly simple style). The stylist started doing something, then undid it because it didn't look right, then tried something else again, and was clearly struggling a bit with my cousin's Asian hair (very straight and sleek). I don't blame her for this, since our hair texture can be tricky to work with if you don't have a lot of experience with it. After about half an hour of this she asked a senior stylist for help, which I thought was very appropriate. But then the senior stylist said to my cousin, "You need to make up your mind about what you want to do, because we can't be trying a million different styles. We're wasting a lot of time." I had been watching the whole time from the waiting area, and her attitude and tone of voice with my cousin made me really angry because she was trying to blame the problem on my 17yo cousin. I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to make the situation worse by making them mad, thereby risking them messing up my cousin's hair. The senior stylist did end up making it work out and the final hairstyle looked good (hence the 4 stars), but her attitude the whole time trying to make my cousin feel like she had done something wrong left a bitter taste in both our mouths.
