I don't know where to begin.... I'm utterly traumatized. I went into this "salon" as a new client, seeking a new stylist. I wanted a haircut with long layers. PLEASE NOTE~ when I arrived today, before my appointment, I had a beautiful head of healthy, waist length hair!!!! I told Stacey I wanted to cut 3" off of the length & add some fun textured layers. I brought in half a dozen detailed photos of what I was seeking & discussed it with her at length before we began. I am now left with the DISASTER OF A NIGHTMARE you see in the photos. I'm utterly distraught. When I calmly tried to show her the GIANT HOLE she left chopped into my hair, she kept trying to hide it by moving my hair around & then finally disappeared in the back. The manager/owner? Came out & said he'd comp the cut & offered to cut more off to fix the huge hole in my hair but I was so shook up I was trying not to bawl, and I declined more being cut off because I couldn't fathom losing more hair... he then got very cold & dismissive... so I left, basically in tears. Do NOT trust this salon. Honestly, I can't help but feel like this was somehow spiteful or something.... read more

Chilled out, modern, and comforting atmosphere. Geoff was my toddler son's barber for this visit, and man did he do a fantastic job on his COVID cut! I really cannot say enough about him, Geoff the owner, and his hired staff that he surrounds himself to help him run this salon. It is easy to find, fun, clean, friendly, and everyone respects and listens to your wants in your desired hair cut. The quarantined hair style has gone wayyyy to long, and to have a 3 year old sit still for a proper cut, was a big accomplishment! Geoff was engaging, respectful, understanding, but most of all, was skilled at his profession. The price point was equally spot on. I have nothing but 5 stars for Architexture and highly recommend any type of service here. read more

I am SO HAPPY to have found this place! I moved from California back in July, where I had the same hairstylist for about 6 years. I didn't think I could possibly find anyone to do my hair as well as my old stylist did, but Stacy has been amazing! Since my first visit 7 months ago, I have always left extremely happy with my haircut. She definitely has taken the time to get to know me and how I like my hair done, and I will remain a customer for as long as I'm here! read more

I had long very very curly hair, so I was afraid to go to salon because not everyone knows how to work with my type of hair, but Madeline did a fantastic job, got a great cut and style, If you have curly hair this is the place to go, or at least Madeline is the person to see. read more

I would not go here for blonde color. I gave this place three tries, and unfortunately I think it's been sub-par. Each visit has left with me parts that should have been toned better, or visible patches where there should have been color. I also think using Paul Mitchell products is a bit dated if the salon wants to stay trendy and modern. I will say that this place is not stuffy and has such kind staff. Whenever I've gone in, I have been the only person getting color done. But many go here for haircuts and they always look good (seems like they do more men's cuts). read more

I was incredibly disappointed with my hair coloring experience. I had gone to Architexture to have my hair dyed a warm chocolate brown color. I'm naturally a brunette so the hair coloring treatment should not have been an extensive process. When coordinating with my hair stylist I had requested that my hair color to be more on the blonde spectrum and did not want any red hue in my hair. However, the end result was quite the opposite. My hair came out looking like Black Widow from the Marvel movies--- which don't get me wrong, she's a bad ass, but her hair is nothing close to what I had requested. So I went back to have it fixed. They did this free of charge, which I appreciated and is also why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. However, the second time my hair and out worse. My hair still had a red hue and is rather than warming the brown tone, he made my hair a veeeerry dark brown. I was told the darkness would wash out in a week but it ever did. It's so dissapointing because I had done a ton of research before booking with Architexture. The reviews seemed to speak highly of them. But now it's six months later an my hair is JUST starting to come back to normal. I really really miss my original hair color. read more

Cannot have enough praise for Architexture!!! Owner Geoff is fantastic & by observations all staff is professional, knowledgeable, beautiful results from their work. I have received multiple haircuts from Geoff and he is truly a master. I'm laid-back, not too much fuss person but since I also was in the business 10+ years & I taught hair cutting classes I would be described as a "difficult, more picky client" Never made complaints at other salons, just hopped around. Feel like I hit the lottery once I became client at Architexture! Never had anything except exceptional, precise, exemplary service. Highly recommend salon and huge thank you to business for consistent & outstanding services!!!! read more

Madeline was my stylist, and she did an outstanding job. Prior to this appointment, it was around a decade since I had my hair cut professionally. I had about 4-6 inches of split ends, and was prepared to get them all chopped off to achieve healthier looking hair. I wasn't thrilled about losing so much length, but I knew it was for the best... Well... I can honestly say that I'm in love with my hair now, despite it being much shorter! It feels unbelievably soft and looks very shiny. Madeline must have done some voodoo magic, because I've never liked shoulder length hair on myself. I'll be recommending Architexture to all of my friends and family. Huge thanks to Madeline, for making me love my hair again. :) read more

From the minute I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile, welcoming attitude......... Stacy. did my hair,..... she was no less than outstanding in how she did my hair. When she got done it was wonderful. The color was spot on, and the cut was perfect. While she was doing my hair she brained stormed with me on events for my one tank trip meet up group. There should be a 10 star review. All of you in that salon THANK YOU... I will give you a 10 star review..********** There. read more

It's sometimes hard trusting people with my natural hair, but Carmella is such a pro. I can't even begin to explain my hair struggles but a combo team of Carmella and I have since rectified all of them. It's been 9 months since my last visit because I moved to LA. I don't trust those people with my locks though so I've been waiting to come back and now here we are. I have never been happier with getting my hair done as I am after a sit down with Carmella. She makes me feel at ease, I literally took a nap in the chair as she finished my hair today. That's how much I trust her. Eventually I'll have to find someone in LA that I trust, but not anytime soon do I see another set of hands other than mine and hers touching this hair. Seriously, the entire staff is kind and...i could say more but just look at the before and after pictures. read more

Architexture - Hair dreams are awake and alive. - Hair Salons Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

Since moving here a bit ago I have had to rely upon people giving me recommendations on where to go for normal stuff like hair, etc. A friend of mine recommend Architexture. So, I called them and was able to book an appointment for the same day. Madeline was my stylist. She was so nice and friendly and put me at easy. She did a great job cutting my hair and cut it to the length that I had requested. Overall, it was a great experience, but my haircut was not a wow. It was a good haircut with a professional staff. read more

First, very cute play on words! Love! Second, the theme of the whole place fits! Love! Anyway. Sometimes when you go into a place you really get a great style and that's okay, but this place has some of the most genuine people I have ever met. I love Cleveland for this very reason. The warmth and kindness isn't even contrived to get you to think they're amazing, these people are seriously warm and kind. I called up and talked to a man whose name I regretfully didn't get and he told me he could see me almost right away. I told him I had an issue that I had my dogs with me and needed to park where I could see him, but he told me I could bring them in with me! He was just so gracious about it, too. He even greeted me by name when I walked in. Just so kind. I need to tell you how beautiful this place is before I forget. It's very industrial, but not without a bit of coziness. The wood accents are gorgeous and everything just FITS. Bravo to the designer. This is a place I could come to twice a week if I lived here (or, if they moved to NYC). Ha ha. Madeline did my hair and she is just gorgeous. Dimples and beautiful hair and smile. She had a really genuine warmth to her as well. I just really loved that she was my stylist. I just went in for a blowout as usual. I'm so fortunate to have found this new go-to place (when I'm here). Madeline used gorgeous Paul Mitchell products on my hair that smelled SO good. I forgot how much I loved their product because no one uses it anymore and that's a shame because it is awesome for my hair. She had the latest tools and really took her time and made sure I loved my hair. Which I SO did. She was amazing, my hair was amazing AND affordable and in the cutest part of the city. I really just lucked out here. If you need beautiful hair come to this warm, welcoming, genuine place. You will not regret it for a second! I can't wait come back! read more

Madeline is fabulous! She does amazing work with fine hair and gray coverage color. Her shampoo massage is the best ever. I haven't found a stylist this great since I lived in NYC and had the infamous John Barrett as my stylist. read more

I went to see Ruby today and I showed her a photo of the haircut I wanted. She nailed the haircut. The last time I asked for a haircut form a pic, it was a disaster. Aside the from the great haircut, I enjoyed the clean and relaxing surroundings. read more

I LOVE this salon! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly face, and everyone is so nice. I really like the vibe here - not stressful at all. My stylist is Stacy Benich and she is 100% AMAZING! I wanted to go for something really different, so she talked with me for a while and we came up with blonde with PINK highlights!! Stacy has a real talent and my hair looked fabulous! I walked out of Architexture feeling and looking like a Million Bucks. I highly recommend Architexture to everyone! I just ask that you all don't book Stacy Benich at once - save an appointment for me!! :-) read more

Cool new hip hair salon in Ohio City. As I haven't really been a fan of any salon in Ohio City- not a fan of the one on west 25th (the hair stylist's hair kept getting in my face while cutting my hair) and also not a huge fan of the one close to me, I decided to walk a few blocks further and try Architexture. It's a cool spot- reminds me a lot of my usual place on the east side. Modern style with kind of a rustic wooden ambiance. They gave my hair a decent cut- nothing wow factor yet, but it was decent and probably one of the better places I've had my hair cut in Ohio City. Check this place out if you're looking for a new place on the west side- they definitely can do all types of hair- including thick coarse Asian hair like mine. read more

Based on other reviews, I choose to take a chance and get my hair cut at Architexture. Cameron was the stylist. I showed him a few photos of hair styles I liked and asked for true bangs, which I haven't had in years. He did a great job. I love my new cut! read more

Madeleines is a Beautiful cut & color on my hair. I wear my hair very short, so 5 months without a hair cut I was looking really rough. If feels great to be able to go out in public without a hat. read more

Jeff, the owner, has essentially assembled the Avengers of hair stylists. Sit and watch any of them for 10 minutes and you'll see that each and every one of them is a true and talented professional. I'm very picky about my haircuts and I'd trust anyone on his staff cut my hair. I moved to Toledo for work and still drive back once a month for a cut because that's how consistent and awesome my haircut is. read more

Nice haircut and style from Madeline! Urban chic minimalist ambiance. I will be back!

I love this place. Beautiful, unhurried, relaxing atmosphere in a very cool old space. Professional staff that takes the time to give you the best results. My hair is thick and wavy and not easy to cut. I cannot go to a barber, and most salons don't get it right, either. This is the only place that cuts my hair correctly. I can't recommend Architexture highly enough. If you're one of those guys who still thinks a salon is just for women, let this be the place that changes your mind. read more

I have been seeing Catherine for my hair color and cut for about two years since I moved to Cleveland. Catherine is an amazing hair stylist. I can just relax in my chair and know that my hair is in excellent hands. Catherine is great with color, I highly recommend her for any hair service, including blow outs! I had a hard time finding someone who was good with a round brush and could tame my curly hair until I met Catherine. Also, she's just an all around amazing person - genuine and beautiful! Highly recommend her - she'll exceed your expectations! read more

SUMMARY: Cool salon, good haircut! FULL STORY: Have had two haircuts & blow-outs with different stylists here. Both very positive experiences! The folks answering phones and making appointments here are really friendly, welcoming, and professional. I appreciate the pleasant, non-stuffy vibes they give right from the start. The salon itself has nice sunlight and a relaxed (but still polished) feeling. Products are all decent -- mostly herbal scents -- and seemed to work well without being overly perfumey or heavy. My two haircuts here were a few months apart -- both stylists worked toward what I wanted, while also adding in some pro thoughts. I don't like having lots of length cut at once, and appreciated that they didn't go rogue or layer excessively. I was happy with both cuts! Blow-outs were good -- not the best ever. Definitely good for what would be included with a haircut (for which the price is reasonable). But that is one issue I have here -- I get weekly blowouts, and a blowout / heat styling alone I believe starts at $50... at that price for the results achieved, I probably wouldn't choose this salon for regular styling. Note: Good amount of street parking, and a few cool cafes nearby! Look for the scissor-shaped bike rack in front. read more

A nice clean salon with a hip modern feel. I met Jeff the owner who was very nice. I was in Ohio City having lunch with a friend over the weekend and decided afterwards to stop in and give them a try with a haircut. Katherine did a wonderful job and I would recommend her. She was very kind and easy to talk to. Their prices are good to. I'll be back! read more

Catherine is my stylist and I love coming to see her here. The salon is cozy but open, warm but modern -- just down Lorain away from the West Side Market, across the street from Platform. Catherine is also an astrologer so our conversations are always enlightening when she fills me in on what's going on in the stars. I try to bring a photo or two for inspiration and Catherine always gives her advice and has me leaving loving my hair. I've never been disappointed and highly recommend Catherine and Architexture. read more

I've always looked for a friendly, down-to-earth yet high-quality salon and was never able to find one, until now. Everyone is very friendly but highly skilled--yet never arrogant. The owner, Geoff, has been cutting my hair for the last 14 years, but he opened his own place, Architexture, just last year. Quite simply, the best haircut you'll ever have. All his stylists are great, too. I am routinely stopped by strangers complimenting my hair, and not just in CLE (NYC, Chicago, LA, Vegas). My husband comes to Geoff now, too, but it's understood, in the event of divorce, I get Geoff and Architexture in the settlement. read more
