The only reason why I am staying with hertz to rent for uber is because of Jhonatan Solis. He has gone out of his way to make my experience seamless. He is one of those rare people that isn't grumpy, and maintains a calm cool attitude regardless of how many angry Uber drivers there are. My Tesla rental was stuck in valet mode with a pin, and instead of me having to drive to the dealership and wait an insane amount of time to be helped, he contacted corporate for me over the phone and had my pin reset OTA in about 1 hour total. It is because of people like Jhonatan, that businesses like Hertz will have consistently happy customers, otherwise the other reviews speak for themselves. I witnessed one of the worst exhibitions of customer service ever. The female had the disposition of a rattlesnake. I was there picking up my friend and this is how i came to my conclusions. My friend showed up early and was waiting for the female rep to finish with a customer. I then walked in and sat down next to him and started a conversation. My friend happens to be black.i am not. She held her hand up to my friend and directed him to wait and then she called me up. Well, I told her i was with this gentleman. Her disposition got worse for no reason. Do not rent from here. It was the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced from a car rental place. I am not sure how Hertz still allows this location to operate for Uber. I was overcharged on my rental for multiple weeks. It took an hour and a half to complete the return. There were 3 people in the office but they werent even assisting customers. When I finally returned the vehicle they told me I had to have it washed and cleaned prior to returning it or face a $500 fine. I have never had to do that with a single rental. After finally thinking I am done with them, I am getting emails about owing fines for tolls. I have a transponder and I already paid the tolls. I should have checked the Google & Yelp reviews before ever doing business here. I hope this saves someone from the hassle I am dealing with. read more

False advertising bait and switch scheme being held her. I was quoted $364 online to rent a tesla, this total included $33 dollars in tax. I expected to pay an extra $250 for insurance and a refundable deposit. They added an extra $200 dollars in fees not listed online and told me it was taxes. Look, I'm an idiot already for having to rent a car at such a high rate, but the customer service that I received at this place was absolutely horrific. First, you can't call the location. No one answers the phone. You have to do EVERYTHING by text. I had to turn in a car because it had been sold to someone else, and then the people at the place tried to put me into a car that had been badly damaged with a shuddering at under 60 miles an hour. And let's not even talk about the MPG. Multiple scratches mark multiple paint flex removed, it there was no gas in the car, nick in the windshield, left panel detached it was not clean, but they wanted me to take it up the tailpipe and smile and pay them $1400 a month!! I got angry when I realize just how much I've been taken for a rid, no pun intended, and I might have sworn at the person via text, because you can't talk to someone on the phone. They called me out for swearing but is ok for them to be just as rude as they want to be. The person manning the text messages has zero idea how to compose a sentence that isn't condescending or yelling. They need to gut this location, get rid of the staff and start over with new people. It is hard enough with gas being the price it is and the pressure that's under people who can't get into any other type of job to be treated in this respect. Respect goes both ways, panorama city. Everything about this place is bad for business. It really needs to be shut down! You can forget, ever being able to get in contact with anyone over the phone. Horrible customer service which equals horrible customer representative . If you lose property it is hell trying to retrieve it. I highly suggest finding another location to visit the Burbank location not the airport, but the other Burbank location is amazing the staff is top tier and the manager is amazing there !!! or you can always try KINTO they offer, hourly daily and weekly rentals. If you are renting cars for Uber this is an amazing app doesn't require much and you can actually use the cars to drive Uber. I hope this helps someone today. read more

They don't know what the fuck they talking about, Sonia with uber and her manager clay told us that we can use an enterprise rental with uber and after we rented a big Escalade and came to uber they said no and it cost us an extra $80! They have no accountability. I was supposed to turn in my vehicle on 12/26 at 3:30p. I arrived 3:15p and was told by a Pepboys employee that they left at 2p. I called Hertz and they said that I can only return vehicle to this location as it's an Uber account. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to find a resolution. None were available. I left the vehicle in the parking lot and went in the next day. I was there at 7:45a because Hertz said they open at 8a, they strolled in at 9:23a. Had me sign in and charged me an extra day. Don't rent a car from these guys. I actually rented a car @pep boys on 3332 n San Fernando road. It is uber/hertz rent a car. They are rude. They give you the run around. I brought in there car for inspection on Monday. The gal working behind the hertz/uber desk is a liar. She told me your good to go. Then I get a text on Tuesday. You have to bring the car for a inspection. I brought the car in to pep boys. Waiting 1 hour for these slow poks to do a 5 min inspection. This company doesn't give a shit about customer service. I was satisfied with hertz rental car! However I am disappointed with Uber whom refered me to Hertz, and making me lose more money on rental car plus gas, because they don't rent Prius's and they truck people that they can earn the rental back by doing Uber, but I am sure the system is set up in away that you barely can reach your goal. Because even if you're available, rides will drop or you just don't get enough rides even though it's very busy when normally you always get enough rides. How the mighty fall. Where are the superb staffers of yesterday? Who replaced them with morons? I was told how grateful I should be for a maintenance appointment that cost me a full days use, as I was not charged for replacing three tires and both brakes. But... but I rented a car. Who pays maintenance on a rental? Who? They say, "Just get the oil changed! Two hours, tops!" Nope. The car needed rocket surgery. I did try to explain this and ask for a day's comp for the inconvenience. Not happening. I asked for a 1-800 number to complain. The number is a U-shaped tube that leads directly back to the Hertz store. And f I look deep enough into the faces of the staff, I can see bemused contempt and not concern. Returning the car was a chore. They billed me a minimal cleaning fee for not getting a car wash even with overcast skies for all to see. You know what? Forget these guys. Rent from FAIR. read more
