    Someone evidently smoked in this car! OMG! What a flipping discovery!!! It gets better once you realize the car tire tread is fairly low and they obviously didn't clean this vehicle. With a personal vehicle suddenly not starting, life begins to take turns. It involved a lyft driver who managed to get off the freeway and to us faster than it took is to drive over to the hertz agency. I am dissatisfied with this location. With one excuse after another they had another person come in during our aggravated wait. She was smart and left to return later. Time passes and we still haven't been asked for a drivers level license or anything else. We are a basic walkup rate for the weekend. Extra bonus for the agent. Asked about discounts and were told we were getting one. Surely you must be mistaken. I'm actually doing you a favor for the bonuses you're receiving for our rental. In return we are getting a smokey car with dangerously low tread (just discovered this) on the rear tires. Over $400 charge on the card for a weekend rental and no discounts! If the car hadn't died, there is no way we would be here or ever recommend this location.

    They book me for a 5 o'clock pick up. Showed up at 5 to find the doors locked and no one there.

That alone should tell you everything you need to know. We rent cars regularly for business and gave this location chance after chance for over a year. Like clockwork, every single month came with a new issue--overcharges, missing deposit refunds, conflicting information, and zero accountability. Just when you think things are finally sorted, they find a new way to mess it up. The experience feels less like customer service and more like a game of "let's see what we can get away with this time." Cars were consistently given to us on empty, then magically documented as "full" so they could tack on fuel charges. Rates we were told were "locked in" (confirmed by multiple employees) changed without warning. One car reeked of cigarette smoke, and when we pointed it out, the response was essentially, "Yeah... we have a rule about that, but we don't enforce it." Inspiring. Policies seem to change depending on who you talk to, which means you can't trust anything you're told--today's answer won't be tomorrow's. The cherry on top? When I asked to escalate my concerns, I was told the manager had no manager and was the highest level I'd be "allowed" to speak to. That's not leadership--that's avoidance. We even followed their suggestion to try another location, only to be sent right back to the same branch a couple months later--the one that openly admitted they couldn't handle the rentals. At this point, it's not bad luck--it's a pattern. Whatever deal you think you're getting, you're not. This place operates with zero consistency, zero accountability, and even less care for the customer experience. Do yourself a favor--go somewhere else.

(This review was originally on Google) Update: Their local manager Lauren Utz is now attempting to threaten me with collections after failing her chargeback. That's the level of service to expect here. They tell you to contact customer support and then customer support will tell you that only local managers can do anything, even though it's the local manager that's scamming me. After much hassle and fully explaining the situation I won my dispute. I owe them nothing. They have attempted zero communication or resolution outside of threatening me with collection letters after failing their chargeback attempt. Disgusting management and company customer service. THEY HAVE A HISTORY OF BLATANTLY SCAMMING CUSTOMERS. Charging for damage they didn't do, adding on charges randomly, misleading customers with misinformation about their policy etc. Please read others 1 star reviews on here, they pull this a lot! And there is absolutely no working with their management. Zero possibility of resolution through them. That's a huge risk to take in a rental. In fact their manager Lauren waited an extra 4 days after I called asking why I was being charged at all before updating me. She purposely let my charges stack up knowing I was blatantly misinformed... Original review: I had an incredibly frustrating experience due to a complete lack of communication and misinformation. With uninformed hostile staff and an inconsiderate manager (who ghosted me immediately) I had zero possibility of resolution. I was charged for something that I was never even informed about. My rental was supposed to be completely covered by my insurance. As I was walking out the door the employee kept guaranteeing it was already confirmed for a set amount of days. He also explicitly told me to ignore any automated texts from Enterprise as they were standard. Enterprise without my knowledge switched my rental from being covered by my insurance and then sent me one automated text to update me of the change. Outside of the automated text that I was told to ignore they claimed to have contacted me in other ways. But this is 100% untrue. I do not have a single call, email, text or voicemail from them until charges had already been accruing for over a week. And I made sure to give them my other details while checking out. I called them after I started seeing charges on my account to ask if this was a mistake. Lauren Utz waited to contact me 4 days later to update me that Geico had stopped the rental. During those 4 days I racked up charges that I had to deal with. They essentially threw my money away due to their complete lack of communication. When I reached out to let them know Geico and Enterprise had mistakenly not updated me about the change in rental I was met with hostile responses from the front desk and no effort to take accountability for the misinformation they gave me. Geico (because they had reached out to a family member instead of me) made up for their mistake and extended out the rental days for me. Enterprise made no such effort. No resolution offered. After one email from me explaining to them the explicit miscommunication on their employees part Lauren Utz ghosted me completely and left me to dispute the charge myself. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION. THEY WILL MAKE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT TO WORK WITH YOU TO AMEND THEIR MISTAKES. ITS NOT A RISK WORTH TAKING WITH A RENTAL CAR. We reserved a minivan well in advance to comfortably fit our family. We showed up right when the store opened at 8am--except it didn't. The employee strolled in at 8:30 with no apology. Then came the excuses: first, our car wasn't there but would "arrive in an hour." After 45 minutes, he tells us, "actually, no van at all--only an SUV." That completely defeated the purpose of reserving a van in the first place. To make matters worse, when we asked for help, he told us to "call customer service." Guess what? Customer service was CLOSED all weekend and not opening until Tuesday because of Labor Day. When I asked for a manager, I was told, "they're gone all weekend." So basically, no accountability and no help. We were left scrambling and had to take our own car just so we wouldn't miss our trip. The employee assured us we'd get a refund processed on Tuesday. It's now Friday, and of course, nothing has been refunded. This company clearly does not value customers' time, money, or trust. Completely unreliable, unprofessional, and unresponsive. Save yourself the stress--go anywhere else but Budget
