This location gives the best customer service experience I've ever had when renting a car!!! Of course you might be surprised at the cost because they can't control that, dang Covid, causes so many issues with supply and demand that car rentals are averaging $50 a day or more. This location makes it very easy to do business with them. They have a large parking lot that's private so there's no problem getting into and out of this Hertz location. All the gentleman that I have interacted with here on pick up and return of the car have been friendly, helpful, cheerful and have even help me with directions both coming and going as I am directionally challenged and forever lost!!! I would strongly recommend that you pre-book your rental and if you are solid in your plans paying at the time of rental is definitely less costly. However, I generally pay at pick up because at this time in my life I need to be very flexible. I'm traveling back-and-forth between Michigan and Texas quite a bit! If you do pay in advance I'm pretty sure it's irreversible. Anyway this location is great- if you need a rental car ...give them a try.

So we had originally planned to rent a car at the airport, but due to flight delays and rental car…read moredelays we were never able to pick up a car. This rental facility was close to our hotel so I grabbed an Uber and headed over here to pick up a car. When I arrived, there were two people Working with the two representatives there. The facility was not the cleanest or best kept. The lady behind the counter said that she would be with me as soon as she was done with another customer. The other gentleman did not greet me at all. I sat down and waited for 20 minutes and no one said anything else to me while they continued to work with the same two people. The lady behind the counter seemed to be working with the gentleman, but the guy behind the counter seemed to just be chatting . Notably he complained about all of their SUVs moving to Ford. After 20 minutes, I asked when I could expect to be served and he said when I'm done. He and the lady had both gone outside to get people cars, presumably. When they came back in five more people had come in behind me and then finally the gentleman behind the counter seemed to have a sense of urgency and actually want to help people. The lady who worked with me was very nice but overall it was just an unpleasant experience because the wait was extremely long, there was no sense of time or urgency, and the facility was not well kept. However, I gave them two stars because the lady who helped me was nice and because my experience returning the car at the airport was excellent.

Then he showed me a cleaned out car that smelled marijuana and I was like it's very clean and reeks of marijuana makes sense . This man truly shouldn't be a manger

The vehicle that I got the vehicle that I got from Avis was a Chevy Malibu. Avis refused to do any maintenance on the vehicle, the vehicle was in need of new tires brakes. It had a coolant leak. The vehicle had not been inspected. It was not safe to drive and thankfully I was able to get rid of the vehicle July of this year. I returned the vehicle after hours after telling Nick the manager I was returning it only to find out upon checking was charging me $808 for I have don't know what. I paid them over $12,000 over the last year and drove a vehicle that was unsafe every time they know that you need them that you're in a bad situation and they will not give you a reliable vehicle, they will make sure you pay on time or threaten to take the vehicle, but as far as maintenance that is not going to happen. For your family sake, do not use work or anything along that line the will be you. They will not do anything to help you. They simply take your OK I'll pay this money. It's a bad situation but I'm getting a new vehicle. No, you're not they will give you a vehicle specifically sent to Uber gig workers. You're not getting a nice new vehicles that a regular customer receives. You will get a discount on your weekly rental, but the vehicle is hard put away wet the vehicle I had we're not safe to drive. I would not have them as my personal vehicle and I would never drive my personal vehicle. Brakes and and coolant leaks. This place is awful, awful awful please for your sake. Do not rent from them. If you're using it you will regret it. Thankfully, my credit card comes with fraud protection and my account has been credited for the $808. They charge me keep in mind. My weekly rental was only $290 per week. I returned the to the location where they came up with this other fee is ridiculous. I know they're trying to charge me. This place will put you in a if you're using it for gig work, be careful you don't need a customer reporting that the vehicle was unsafe. I never felt safe in the vehicle I from them. We booked it online and before our pickup date, we clarified it with Avis/Budget (Juston). Juston went above and beyond helping us from start to finish. our trip was amazing and I believe it all started with the wonderfu help and service we received from our Avis/Budget rental off Michigan avenue in Lansing. Someone give that man (Juston) a raise. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The Smiths.
