I rented a car from this location a few months ago. A couple months later, they emailed me a bill for alleged damage. I informed them I had video proof that the car was in pristine condition upon return and provided them with video. They failed to email me clear, detailed photos showing this damage. Each time they email me a photo of the car with NO damage. I have gone back and forth with them and they are total scammers. After researching online, I am now aware this story is all too similar. I have read copious amounts of customer complaints exactly like mine. They bully customers into paying extra fees with no burden of proof. Avoid this rental company all together.

Just as an FYI Sixt is renovating their offices so understand you have to walk into a courtyard off 10 Rue de la Paix to find the location on your right hand side, fairly easy to find. We arrived around 9:30AM to get our rental car which we had reserved weeks prior. Prabin Shapkota greeted us with a great upbeat attitude. He was very informative and helped ease any anxiety we had about renting a car. I usually never get the protection or road side assistance, this was the first time I did. I didn't want to break down in a location in France with no help especially with my family in the car. The peace of mind it had was well worth it. We rented an AUDI Q5 SB 40 and it was the right decision. Most cars are very small in France and Europe and I am 6'3" which makes picking a car very difficult. This car had more room than I needed and was quite luxurious. The car had some damage to the door and a small chip on the windshield, all that was already noted on the contract. The car drove great and was a diesel, there are many fill stations on the auto routes and they all had a diesel option. Upon returning the car after hours you have to take the car to a parking garage that is just up the street. If you are looking directly at the rental location you first rented from, it is just downt] the street to the right of 10 Rue de la Paix. It is an underground parking garage on the left hand side as you enter it is very narrow so take your time. You will go to -2 floor as you drive down. When you get to the return floor you will see Orange Sixt signs on the wall to your left -as seen in the photos. Park your car and don't forget to leave your parking tag from the garage on the dash. Then you will see the elevators to your Left if you park on the wall and backed in like I did- see pictures. Then you will see a bright Orange Sixt key drop box it's impossible to miss. Then you're all set. Just wanted to give another bit of praise Prabin Shapkota for making this experience stess free and he was willing to help every step of the way.

Couldn't buy gas in Paris bc foreign credit cards don't work at Esso Express so we ended up paying a fortune for Avis to fill the car. Get gas outside of the city for sure. We could NOT find the rental return place - the address on the contract is just the train station. It took forever to figure out that it's in the underground garage called Gare du Nord garage on a small side street. We drove around for almost an hour looking in horrendous traffic and one way streets and taxi/bus only streets trying to find anything. Finally my son found a mention on the internet of an underground garage. It would have been nice if they mentioned it in Strasbourg when I specifically asked the question and was assured it was easy. NO IT WASN'T. The return procedure was fine although you have to get two tickets and descend to level -6 I think for return. Thankfully a man was there who checked us out. Had to pay Euro 127 or so bc of one way charge (was not told that before), gas and tax. Do not drive in Paris - it's a total mess and I used to drive in NYC. For the record it was not the Paris office that was involved - it's just impossible to find the rental return if you don't know beforehand.

We booked a BMW wagon 3 series, but upon checking in, having waited for the attendant some good 10-15 min and having been traveling for more than 18 hrs, he mentioned that they will "upgrade us" (BS) to Volvo or Jeep or other equivalent instead better than BMW for 5 passengers. The attendant Lso wanted to us to buy insurance and we said no, because we are insured etc...We were tired and didn't want to insist, we agreed on the Volvo xc40. We signed the agreement and sent us down on our way to the basement to retrieve the car. We were tired and had another 2 hours to drive, so we got into the car and drove away. The basement was dark and not well lit and the car was parked near a pillar. We did a quick inspection for dents scratches on the car and it all looked ok. As we got on blvd peripherique, we realized that the car did not have any sound/audio. Even the signal wasn't clicking, no radio, no car play no speaking map... nothing. As we were already behind schedule we continued and as soon as we made it to destination, we emailed address that we were given in the event we needed to contact the rental agency, and reported the audio/sound issue... nothing. When it was time to return the car, we returned the car and since our travel was uneventful, i.e. no accident, no scratch, no dent, etc, we took picture of the car where we parked it because we were not sure if there would be an attendant when we dropped it at gare du Nord. We dropped it off, the attendant present at the office asked how our travels were, we reported the sound issue, he said he would discuss with his manager to give us some credit for that inconvenience (BS). He didn't ask to walk through or check the car upon our returning it. We left thinking we returned the car in the same condition we rented. However, the following day I get the return receipt and on it they claimed that the rim had a scratch 5-10 cm deep down to the primer! We didn't have a photo of the rim, we couldn't defend that we didn't do that. If you scratch the rim down to the primer, that's a deep scratch, you would know if you did it. Long story short, they ended up billing up nearly €500 to fix it. All in all, we believe we were scammed. When this happened, I read reviews for SIXT rental cars and there were reports of same issues. They provided photos but the photos of the rim didn't include the Volvo logo. All in all they are good at scamming. We didn't want to get in a dispute with them since we had insurance, so we paid the repair fees and submitted a claim. Please be careful if you rent from SIXT- Paris Gare Du Nord. Make sure you take photos of every inch of the car you rent before and after. Do not trust them to be ethical and do the right thing. For us, we will not repeat this mistake and we will NEVER rent from SIXT again. They CANNOT Be trusted.

We came to this rail hub in Paris for our high speed train to Amsterdam. We were on the…read more"Pre-tour" portion of our river cruise and had to go to Zamdam to catch our ship. That required us to get the main station on Amsterdam, then catch a bus. What can I say. It was your typical train station with many trains ready to go and you could also catch a subway here. It was easy to maneuver through and while I was waiting I went for a coffee and a pastry. That's the special thing about Paris... even in the train station was good coffee and great pasteries. I noticed lots of Police patroling the area which definately helps make you feel just a bit more safe and comfortable. Boarding the train was quick and easy and they left right on time. Generally while the space felt poorly designed for crowds, the signage was okay, although still slightly confusing to navigate. Once on the train our experience wasn't too bad as we'd splurged for midclass so we were seated in a quiet area, but that being said - I really wish our attendant had prevented parents who had seats elsewhere walking into our car with their young children and letting them wander around being loud. All in all, the experience was good, but I'm not sure how often we'd take the train to Paris, especially since there is no Disney linkup.

My wife reserved our car online two months ahead using her credit card. When we arrived, they refused to release the car because I was the driver, and the card was in her name. You'd think the easy fix would be switching the payment method. Nope. Instead, they offered two "solutions": Cancel and rebook the same car for $200 more, or Add me as a driver for $150. It felt like they were just looking for ways to charge more. Europcar is turning minor technicalities into a business model. This location clearly doesn't care about customer service--or its bad reputation. Avoid it at all costs.
