This place is lucky we aren't suing them and putting them out of business. We were rented a brand new Kia that was "inspected" before we took it on the road. Driving it off the lot we noticed it felt a little wobbly to drive but figured it was something minuscule. We took it on the highway and noticed the bumpiness was still present and eventually a sound accompanied it. After pulling off on the side of the road we noticed the tire was completely bulging and torn up on one side. This was NOT inspected and this place essentially tried to kill us. After calling the support line they said that NONE of their nearby facilities could loan us a new car. I will never rent with this incompetent company again. If we don't wind up getting this car completely for free I will find a way to press charges against this location and company as a whole. Never ever rent with Hertz and never ever visit this god forsaken location. Their employees clearly don't care if you live or die! read more

To preface, the employees at the store front were amazing to work with. I was rear ended at the beginning of May and Nationwide was covering 100% of the rental cost. I was charged roughly $1000 when all was said and done because Hertz continued to charge my credit card. I returned the car on May 28th and now today, june 11th, I was charged an additional 320 dollars. Everytime i call the customer support line, they tell me thst they are unable to see any charges on my credit card however my statement is saying differently. I have had to file multiple disputes against the company through my credit card company as well as the insurance company now. I will never be using hertz for a rental again. ​ read more

This place needs an anemia. Hertz employees rented me an unsafe vehicle that was filled with mosquitoes. Over the weekend, I rented a vehicle at this location. The car was dirty, no window washing fluid in the reservoir, wiper blades needed to be replaced (bad), mosquitoes had a field day biting my wife who had bites all over her legs, and the driver side (door) window was off track. This vehicle should not have been in service (unsafe). I should have reported it to the State Police "unsafe to drive". I got caught in a heavy rain downpour on my way to a formal event, I couldn't see the road. I almost had a wreck, I could have been killed. When I arrived at my location, my tux was wet and dirty, my wife had mosquitoe bites all over her legs. The manager at the Hertz locations hid under a desk when I came in to express my concerns. The manager wasn't man enough to face me, what a wussy. I reported the bad condition of the vehicle to the 3 Stooges, Moe, Larry, and Curl who tried to give me the run around and never filed my complaint. I was never compensated or did anyone from Hertz reach out to me. I will never rent a vehicle from this place again and hope you don't either. I pity the fool. read more

Made a reservation online, only received an online confirmation. When attempting to call to tell Hertz to meet me at the Dodge dealership, so I could pick up my rental there (As Dodge had suggested). Their phone was completely off, as if someone didn't pay the bill. Not only did I call but the service coordinator at Dodge called multiple times and emailed them! Only to get no response back. !! DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ !! I rented a Chevy Equinox from this Hertz location and after driving it for 4 hours the brakes failed completely. It felt like all of the brake fluid had been drained. After waiting at a rest stop in western Ohio for 3 hours, a tow truck driver openly wearing a handgun delivered a replacement car to us. If this failure had happened ten minutes earlier, I would have been traveling at highway speed with no way to stop. Since then, I have called this location 15 times asking for an explanation for what happened. The best I got was, "Sometimes brakes on cars just fail." I've driven dozens of cars since 1996 and this is the first time any vehicle's brakes have just suddenly failed on me. Either Hertz rents cars with potentially fatal flaws, or the maintenance staff at Hertz are so incompetent as to put the lives of their customers in jeopardy. read more

If I could give this absolutely horrible business a -5 I WOULD. The employees have 0 clue what they're doing. Have 0 clue about their policies. Have 0 clue how to communicate with each other. Had a collision over a month ago. We did everything we were supposed to do right away. The car had to be towed because the airbags got deployed. Our personal belongings were still in the car and we weren't allowed to get them. We called hertz NUMEROUS times. Over and over and over. Hardly answered at monroeville. Their customer service number was NO help. We had no idea when we could get our things. Was told the car was being towed back to Pittsburgh. A week later we call AGAIN because we didn't hear anything. The employee who told us it would be in Pittsburgh had no clue what she was talking about because the car stayed exactly where it was. Which was 4.5 hours away. Surprising? Not really. We had several questions about quotes, claims, insurance which were not answered. I asked for a higher ups number which they REALLY didn't want to give away. I wouldn't either with the chaos they created out of this entire situation. I finally got the managers email after several calls. I do not recommend HERTZ to anyone. Save yourself the money and time. Give your money to any other rental place besides hertz! :-) read more
