    UPDATE 12/30/25: Changed my one star rating to five stars because that's the service I'm used…read morehaving at this location. The vehicle was to be retuned on 12/29/25 but because I was an hour after the 3 hour "grace period" the female associate wanted to charge me for another day. So I took the vehicle back, since I was being charged an additional day to bring back the next day. Upon returning, James was very gracious to remove the extra day from the total charges after explaining what happened. I was ecstatic and told him that I would certainly be back to do business. Prior review: Thanksgiving 2025, I went to pick up a minivan that I reserved 3 weeks in advance only to find out that they gave it away to another customer and wanted to put me in a much smaller box sized vehicle, as they had nothing else (at least that's what I was told). We scrambled around looking everywhere to rent a car because we were heading to see family in Florida and they were sold out all over. I even called as far as Slidell, Baton Rouge and Covington. Sold out everywhere. I was extremely ticked off with these people. We unfortunately had to drive our own SUV to Palm Beach, and I was not happy about that at all. I will say, National is much better at being transparent with their inventory. While they are an integrated network with Enterprise, they do not overbook, from my experience traveling over the country renting with them. When they're out of stock, they won't allow reservations but Enterprise does. Enterprise operates much like the airlines....will overbook and ask for forgiveness when they mess up your plans. I won't come here again, I'd much rather go to the airport and rent from National. Emerald members skip the entire counter experience, pick up the vehicle and checkout on the way out. This is much better and less complicated. These folks in "customer service" roles better be mindful that robots are taking jobs that humans are failing at. Just see what Amazon did, laid off 14,000 employees and invested in AI to their jobs. FYI...I would always book on Enterprise's website but just realized Priceline has better rates and cheaper full collision coverage, like $15 a day as opposed to $33.

The solution is apparently to make a reservation and then call the location before coming over to see if they actually have the car you reserved. Sad but true. Live and learn! I will be very careful renting with Hertz in the future. Brandon was nice and professional when he told me there were dozens of reservations and no cars at all. What could he do? Well, he rented me a massive, huge, gigantic full-size heavy-duty Ram 2500 truck! Hey, I like adventure and this qualified! I got to drive this beast, very carefully, around New Orleans for a few days! What fun! I even parallel parked on Magazine Street! What a challenge! I didn't put a single ding in it and I did my best to avoid the infinite number of potholes in the roads around here. It rode like a tank and drove like a tank. The biggest challenge was actually getting into it! My wife is a strong tough sweet cookie as she climbed up there no problemo! It's high off the ground! I on the other hand, suffering with sciatica pain, had to experiment until I found a way to use my left foot and leg to climb up. Once I figured that out, life in a jacked up massive heavy duty truck land was good!

You're going to pay full price and it's usually a $200 increase. I do not recommend this Hertz location if you go with Hertz at all I'll do my best to call customer service but they're probably not going to help cause they told me there was nothing they could do last time.

I was tired of waiting so I just purchased a air fresher to deal with the sent. I asked the manger India Buck did they have any other vehicles before I finally recieved a rental she said no. It was obivious she was concerned about getting other walk in customers out, than work with the present customer to show good customer service for the company satisfaction. So I waited until a returned vehicle was returned for 4.5 hours. There was other vehicles available and she could have offered a up size which I have received at other locations when there were no vehicles currently available, but she wanted me to pay a additional fee which I declined and didn't care about great customer service which keep the company in business and customers coming back. Trust me word of mouth and customer rating are important. I check to find out how long she was been on the job from another location and was told about 4 months and customers complained about lack of privacy I experienced that also. More training and customer service retraining is needed. Word of advice have the customer come to the counter do not conduct business from the service to a customer sitting in the waiting area this is a violation of customer privacy MS Buck!
