    We had a very lovely experience... I was petrified reading the other reviews on here and elsewhere. We reserved through Delta, breezed through the line due to being President's Circle- and we were on the road quite quickly. We did document every scratch, dent, imperfection with photos and video prior to leaving the premises. We vacuumed the car before returning and we were not penalized for anything additionally. Unfortunately, we had left a backpack in the trunk of the rental and didn't realize until we were entering security at the airport. The shuttle driver brought it to us quite quickly and we were ever so grateful! Truly the epitome of customer service and kindness! Loved our experience with Hertz!

    SCAMMERS STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! SCAMMERS STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! I have rented a TOYOTA C-HR GR SPORT, Location: UKLGW50. Date & Time: 16/10/2022 10:25 TO 17/10/2022 18:45. Vehicle Registration FL72BZG. I have took photos of the car when I dropped it as there was no one at the place, then went to the office, no one was there as well, I have waited for +10 min, but no one showed up, no phone to ring or any other signals to contact apart from key drop box, I have video recorded everything including the Dropbox then left with my 2 kids and wife. Next morning I received a damages report with 643.20GBP paid from bank account even though I didn't agreed. This is totally a SCAM behaviour. Please stay away from them! All other offices have employees at this desks except HERTZ. This is SCAM!!! Please stay away from them. The damages were: 1.Right front wheel " Alloy wheel Diamond Cut " Scratch " Light damage 2. Right front wheel " Tyre " Damaged " Replace I have 2 kids, 3.5 years old and 1.5 years old and my wife was sick. So I was extremely careful with the car, I drove it peacefully and carefully. This is SCAM!!! Please stay away from them!!! The report states "Important: Customer has accepted responsibility for the damage. Customer's Signature:Customer not present (out of hours)" Thier opening hours 8a.m.-8p.m and I was there 6:46-7 pm but no one was there at all. Please stay away from them, they are SCAMMERS!!! Please check other low rates reviews because they are the true once. THIS IS A SCAM!!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!

    What I was charged, outrageous "Upgrade fee" and service charge for an already problematic battery issue.

Beanstandet wurde eine minimale Schramme am Gummi des Reifens, die extrem schwer zu erkennen war und die ich bei der Abholung entsprechend nicht bemerkt habe. Bei der Rückgabe wurde mir lapidar mitgeteilt, dass ich bei der Abholung unterschrieben hätte und der Schaden nun mir angelastet werde. Eine Diskussion oder ernsthafte Prüfung des Sachverhalts fand nicht statt. Die Konsequenz: Die Kaution wurde einbehalten. Diese Vorgehensweise empfinde ich als höchst fragwürdig. Mein Fazit: Wer hier mietet, sollte davon ausgehen, dass die Kaution bereits bei der Abholung verloren ist, selbst bei Schäden, die kaum sichtbar sind und nicht eindeutig dem Mieter zuzuordnen sind. Gerade an Standorten wie Dublin, wo es zahlreiche Alternativen gibt, kann ich nur dringend empfehlen, einen anderen Anbieter zu wählen. Diese Erfahrung hat mein Vertrauen in Enterprise nachhaltig beschädigt.

When I dropped it off at the Shannon airport, it was all fine. Then I saw on my credit card bill I was charged over $1,200 in new charges and didn't receive any of the $350 back I was charged in Dublin. Also side note (a small dent shouldn't be $1,200 regardless of this situation!!!!) I have been trying to call and email for 4 days and there hasn't been any communication back to me, only that they are busy and will get back but the charges have come through. Overall a really terrible experience from an amazing trip. I'd love to take this review down if someone calls me back and we can get situated.

We booked a rental car through Travelocity with Payless car rental. We quoted €329 including all taxes and fees for our rental. When we got to the rental desk itself, there were additional fees in the rental contract. We asked about these and were told that upon return of the rental vehicle those would be removed from the invoice. They were not removed. We have had numerous emails back-and-forth with Payless and they refused to honor the amount they quoted with Travelocity and refused to reverse the charges that they claimed would be reversed upon return of the rental vehicle. To be clear, these are taxes and fees (which were specifically covered in our quote) not related to additional insurance charges. Travelocity categorically refused to help, as they said the rental agreement was with Payless. In addition, they have exactly one person running the rental desk. People who rented with full service companies instead of payless got priority; so it took them over 2 hours to locate the vehicle and deliver the keys to us. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these shysters. You went with the low rate, but that's not actually what you have to pay... Book with somebody else.

There was a bit of a language barrier with the girl that was helping me, so after I asked her the 4th or 5th time to repeat what she said SLOWLY, the manager came over and said he didn't like the TONE I was taking with his employee. Not to ask how he can help. I asked to see a supervisor and was told he was not in. Then after I found a card that worked ,the girl helping me charged me an additional 90.00 EURO deposit without telling she was doing so. I'm pretty sure that's elliegal. I would recommend public transport instead,or expect to get raked over the coals slowly. The girl helping me and the girl next to her who was helping someone else thought it was very funny that I was upset and I had no one to come get me. Either rent the car for 10 days for 1000.00 euro or tuff shit. The car was bought and paid for 6 months prior. I would say the younger generation has no respect for their elders and have NO CLUE about customer service. Don't waisted your time or money. And if you have to go to the counter bring a solicitor and maybe a translator.

We saw the pickup desk turning away multiple people while we were there. The desk will scan your credit card (not debit) and will try to sell you additional insurance. You should always buy your "excess" insurance from elsewhere before your trip. Avis and Budget seem to share a desk. Queues were short on a Friday morning. The benefits of being given a beaten up car, is that after driving on rough irish roads for a couple of days, you can return a beaten up car without any problems. Always check your vehicle against the paperwork and take your own photographs of the pre-existing damage. At the time of writing (August 2022), rental cars are hugely overpriced in Ireland, so consider delaying your trip.

I am putting together a case against these thieves. Similar to others, I had a horrific experience and have got myself entangled in their lucrative claim circle. After immense pressure to get the expensive insurance, I declined and put down an absorbent amount for a deposit / hold of $5k. After I returned the vehicle, I received a note about damage to the bumper for a 26-50mm (1-2 inches). I disputed this claim immediately and truly know I did not cause this minor damage. Given the possibility that it may have happened while I had the car e.g. valet, while it was parked, etc. I asked for additional information to demonstrate / prove that it happened within my care. This local Dublin office has been completely unresponsive, other than to give me a ludicrous breakdown of the repair fees. No proof that it happened within my care. I would also note that the scratch is so minor, as seen in the picture, I or anybody wouldn't have noticed it at pick up for a rental car. You're typically looking for more material issues, not little tiny wear and tear that you see on every single rental car you've ever had. Now let's get into the breakdown in the charge for said tiny scratch. Not only did they have the audacity to put a bogus invoice together for around $1,600 usd, they also charged a depreciation fee for another few hundred, bringing the total charge to over $2k for a tiny scratch that they have no concrete way of even demonstrating happened while I had the vehicle. It gets worse. The same company they (Avis IE) went to for the auto body work quote is owned by the same gentleman who owns Avis Ireland!!!! So to recap, step 1. Over pressure on insurance., step 2. Make fraudulent claims of damage that is way over emphasized and really just normal wear and tear, step 3, get a quote from a company that you also own with rates that are just absurd., Step 4. hold people hostage because they took the option for a high hold on their card. Since I'm in it for the long game, in my next post, I will list out all of the articles of incorporation and research on the auto repair shop names, owners, pictures, etc. I see myself as a principled fair person, but what they did is wrong and I will take this as far as I need to go to expose them and get justice.
