Make sure you ask them to remove their vehicle toll tag as it is a way for them to fine you, it will open the toll gates for you leaving you with no way to pay for it yourself and this will instantly result in a fine from them which can add up to a lot if you are a daily toll user. Beware. Received car that rolled backwards while in first gear and brake on. This happened twice. Second time car was parked for an hour no one inside and car bucked backwards until it hit a fence. 6 witnesses. Police were called they did a report said faulty brake or gear. Enterprise didn't care kept my deposit $280 and charged me another $2500 for a little crack under bumper. Piece is $280 looked it up on the KIA website. Then they charged me $27.00 for tolls that I paid and have receipts for. When I told them they said oh we will refund you. Beware they will take you money. read more

Note: all my recent vacation in Ireland Yelp reviews will have the same 1st paragraph preamble, for just the review itself skip to the 2nd paragraph. On a whirlwind 2 week vacation to Ireland, the girlfriend & I tried to see & experience absolutely as much of this incredible land as we could. We did not accomplish every last activity we wished we could have on our rather ambitious itinerary. Nonetheless, we did discover a land of numerous stunning & magical wonders. We did see a land of unending natural beauty. We did learn of a land with a monumentally long history of trials, tragedies & triumphs. We did get to meet many kind, humorous, warm & generous people. Our vacation to Ireland was just 2 weeks, but that was time enough to know this is a land easy to love & a land to be sorely missed. Since we wanted to see as much of the country as possible, renting a car would be necessary once we left Dublin. I did my homework. I researched the details of renting a car in Ireland & looked into the many options available. I became well-versed on CDW & super CDW. While most credit cards offer CDW on rental cars as a benefit, virtually all credit cards do not offer this benefit for rentals in Ireland. Just about every car hire agency in Ireland I checked requires CDW & the charge for it was up to €25/day. It was beginning to look as if renting a car would be a costly affair. Then I found Enterprise Rent A Car. The daily rate for the car was the lowest of any agency I had looked into & a damage waiver is included in that rate. While the deductible for that waiver is high (€1000), at least the car has some coverage in the case of a total loss. This deductible can be lowered (down to €50) for an additional daily charge. What I appreciated was that this was offered without any high pressure upsell. I went for the smallest car available, as this would make navigating the skinny, twisty roads out in the country less insane. Enterprise gave me a Fiat Panda. This was the right car for the right job. The car was clean, new & in perfect running order. Smallest also translated to cheapest; it was only about €10/day. I took my chances & passed on the lowered deductible, so the total charge for a car in Ireland for a week & a half ended up being inexpensive. Service at this Enterprise branch was excellent. Everyone was friendly & professional without the usual upsell shenanigans I've experienced at most other rental car agencies back in the States. I would have to say this was the best overall car rental experience I've ever had. I absolutely recommend this Enterprise Rent A Car in Dublin for any car hire in Ireland. During the course of my research, renting a car in Ireland seemed to be a grim proposition but this branch of Enterprise Rent A Car in Dublin made it my best rental ever, anywhere. read more

I live in Dublin and have rented cars from a few places before and have done the same from these folks at Enterprise. Value for money is excellent, service is good however handing over a car that has not been filled up and having to return it with quarter tank or half tank is a lot harder than you think. They charge you if you don't return it with the same fuel level at time of rental but offer no refund if you return it with more fuel than what was in the vehicle at time of pick up.....cheeky don't you think ?? Secondly for a customer who has rented at least 3-4 times from this place having to produce proof of address is ridiculous each and every time. You have my credit card details and everything on file, why then do I need to submit my details again ?? Also be very specific about the time you need a car for as last time I booked they expected me there at the end of the day and I arrived there during the day only to find out that my chosen vehicle was unavailable. Whilst I can understand it would be prudent to advise your customer that if a car is required please specify the exact time you will pick it up....turning up on the day may lead to disappointment. read more

Arranging rental online from the states was super simple. We only needed a car for a few days in the middle of our trip, and we were quite happy to avoid airport surcharges. Google maps suggested it was a 10 minute walk from our hotel in Parnell Square, which wasn't too bad at all. The car we rented was actually just parked on the street (I'm more used to a private gated lot in the states) so we asked if it would be alright/safe to leave the car parked in this free spot for the day, so we could walk into town and do some obligatory tourist things without having to drive in downtown Dublin or pay for parking there. Staff said sure, but ensured we knew we were responsible for the car, which is reasonable. They also gave some tips on walking over to Trinity College from their location. The woman who processed our rental was a delight. Very engaging and personable. She was helpful and fun. She also informed us that we could drop off the car at the airport for 35 euro fee, and that a taxi from our hotel would be approximately 20 euro. So it was nice to have that option in our trip planning. We paid extra for a Garmin GPS unit and this was possibly the best money ever spent!! We named our GPS Fiona and she was a right clever lass, even showing the speed limit as we drove along. I'd been nervous about driving a manual transmission on an unfamiliar-to-me side of the road, but it worked out just fine. PRO TIP: We were thanked for calling ahead to see if we could arrive later than stated on the original online reservation (we'd reserved for 9am pickup, but the day before we realized we'd want to sleep in a bit. I called to see if we could pickup the car at 11am instead and they said no problem). Apparently some folks have shown up hours and hours after their reservation and get upset when the car they wanted has been rented to somebody else. Come on, folks. You select a set reservation time. If it's going to change, call them to let them know. This is much smaller than many Enterprises in the USA, so their inventory is less expansive as well. Just be a decent customer and keep Enterprise informed and they'll take good care of you. read more

I booked a car in the Limerick office. I then cancelled with the help of the Customer Service the reservation one day before the due date. He said that I will not be charged by any cancellation fee, because I deleted the reservation 1 day before the pick up date. After 3 weeks, I'm still waiting for a refund of my money. This place is a complete scam of a business. They charged me for damages which were noted on the paperwork prior to me renting the vehicle. I have email confirmation showing the damages were prior damages, and have talked with the manager who confirmed everything was notated before I accepted the vehicle. It has been two weeks since the return of the vehicle and I have not received my security deposit back. They were trying to scam me out of over $250.00, because I was visiting from another country. They have the worst customer service I have dealt with, and are unresponsive to emails or complaints. Made to the manager over the phone. No one at this office knows what they are doing. read more

Drop off service to our house on the way back and we found out they would of picked up too! No extra cost for that either. The two people that looked after us were so friendly and helpful. Rented a Zafira from Enterprise in Oct 2013 from their Airport Desk. Personnel quick to answer & friendly, both on phone & counter. Pick & return of car was easy & without trouble or arguing about imaginary scratches etc... Excellent experience. Only minorl drawback is that their vehicles are parked 15 minutes away from the airport terminal: not an issue and they have a convenient shuttle, but worth knowing if you plan your timings.I guess other rental companies also have external parking... I have rented a car in October for a weekend in Dublin. I returned the car with no issues at that moment and I received back the deposit. Suddenly, a couple of months later when I was reviewing my credit card statement, I found that you took from my credit card 250 euros with no reason and without my authorization. I called and also went to the Enterprise Dublin Office and spoke with Kingsley Emekobum (Assistant Manager). Nobody was able to explained me the reason for that debit. I had to start a long and exhausting investigation to finally find out that you did a mistake when you charge me for 3 days instead of 2. I called several times and explained all of this. You've recognized the error and told me that you were going to give me back the money. I was waiting for more than 10 working days and I did not see the money in my credit card. I started calling again several times and you did not return my calls. I went back again to your office (third and last time in my life) and spoke with another manager, Ian Dack. He was sorry, recognized the error and gave me his word that he was going to solve the issue and call me the next day. This was last Wednesday and I still didn't receive his call. This issue started in December and I do not have a solution yet. MY PATIENCE HAS A LIMIT. YOU NEED TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP. YOU HAVE STOLEN MY MONEY. read more

Absolutely terrible service. My mom had been planning our Ireland trip for a while now, and she booked a rental car with Enterprise at this location far before booking anything else. On the phone, she was told that she could use a debit card to pay for it (and we later realized her emails said the same thing) as long as she brought extra information, which she did, so she booked the car. After we arrived, however, and wanted to get the car, she was told that she couldn't use a debit card with enterprise so she couldn't have it. This meant that she had to find a car rental that WOULD take her card, and she was charged $800 more than she originally would have been. This destroyed our entire budget and has mostly wrecked our vacation. I emailed support about this, they kept bouncing me around to different people, and now they refuse to respond at all. Nothing to do with Enterprise at Russel, they are good helpful people. But Enterprise Rent-a-car AIRPORT are crooks, they say "no hidden fees" but when we rented in May 2015 at the airport, after a couple of days they charged us on the credit card 21€ EXTRA (with VAT included) and they called it "location fee", I have written to them and called them about it many times and have all emails saying that it is "a charge that the airport charges them and they transfer to the clients" it is totally unacceptable since they DO NOT WARN you of such a HIDDEN FEE!!! You can send them 10 emails that they will not have the decency to answer back after their very late statement. Very disappointing, I would not recommend to rent from them in the Dublin Airport to anybody!! read more

We had booked online for a car. When we arrived, there was no problem with the reservation although the "extra mandatory fees" about knocked our socks off. Still, we were only renting for two days. Then I gave them my Visa card, an American one. The clerk ran it through, it said Approved on the little machine that I had but she said it wasn't. So she ran it through again. She still said it wasn't approved. I called my bank and they said they were showing two charges from Enterprise in pending. I handed her my phone so she could talk to them directly. They gave her an Approval code. Still didn't work according to her. So she decided to run it through again. Now I had THREE charges against my Visa and I had been at the desk for almost 45 minutes. I had also racked up international phone charges calling my bank. Upshot was I asked to see the manager. She tried to run it through (I know had FOUR charges against my Visa), called my bank but could think of no way to manually override the system to get me the car. So, after an hour of fiddling about, my husband walked over to another car rental company on the desk beside, used the same Visa to rent a car with no problem. read more

The facts speak for themselves. The price quoted and accepted on line was doubled once the full insurance package was taken. Even that package has a 250 Euro deductible. I am paying almost three times as much for a car rental for the same period of time as i paid in Australia two weeks ago. I consider the way in which Enterprise does business in Ireland to be unconscionable. I will never rent from them again, and i come to Ireland several times every year. read more

Further to my previous review of my reservation with Enterprise Rent-a-Car at Dublin airport, I wrote to their Head Office in UK to confirm my facts as I spoke a second time to Mr Eoin Hayes who assured me that I wasn't covered for any insurance at Dublin on Feb 7th Reservation no. 527605215 "Please can you confirm for me (for future reference) if the above reservation no. which I made INCLUDED any insurance. When I arrived in Dublin I was told by Enterprise/Alamo that I was NOT covered but I assumed from your "Whats included" section that I had cover. I would be most grateful if you would check this specific reservation as the sales agent is adamant I had NO cover whatsoever. I was unable to pay the Eur325 requested and thus was unable to take the car." The Reply I received "Dear Patricia Thank you for your email. I have provided you with the following insurance inclusions for your reservation below, and as these insurances where included, you should not have been asked to cover these particular insurances at the time of collection as they were part of your rental package. Damage Cover Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) limits the driver's liability in the event that the rental car is damaged, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. Rather than the full cost, the driver is generally only responsible for the first portion, known as their 'excess'. This protection applies to all authorised drivers of the rental car. Third-Party Liability (TPL) covers the driver's liability for damage to any property, excluding the rental car itself. TPL also covers injuries suffered by other people, whether or not they are in the rental car, subject to the terms of the rental agreement. This was a terrible experience. I chose Enterprise because it had the cheapest prices on the website. When we arrived, tired after the international flight, It was over double in price after all the extra charges. When we turned the car in after no incicents, they pointed out Scatches on the rubber of the tires and other small smudges they said were new and kept our entire deposit, nothing happened while we had the car. This exact thing happened to the othe 5 people turning in their cars at the same time; they all said nothing happened to the car while in their care, but lost their entire deposit to scuffed tires and supossedly tiny new scratches. I guess they get enough business from advertising the lowest price, but I'd be suprised if they had repeat customers; I really want to help other people from being tricked by the lowest price and then end up paying more, my final cost ended up being over 100 euros a day. read more

Do not use this company!! Due to car trouble last week, I needed to hire a car as my business involves travelling and last week was particularly busy..(Easter weekend) I called enterprise twice,,once to get a quote and then to make the booking.Whilst on hold with the company, I was constantly hearing that " calls are recorded"..This is not the case..I availed of the pick up service and was told that I would be picked up at 10am Saturday morning. At 10.30, when I still had not been picked up I tried to call the company but was left on hold (40 mins) so I called the local agent to see if my pick up was on the way..He told me that they had no booking in my name and had no cars available.I then got back on to Enterprise and they said that they could not find my booking either and could not offer me a car ..I spoke to a supervisor who told me that she would try to find the recording of my call which amazingly enough she could not find!! She then told me that if I still needed a car this week, she would make sure that I would get a complimentary hire..Not so!! This morning, when I called to organise this "complimentary" car, I was told that they could give me a car for 210euro instead of 280 euro as a goodwill gesture,,nothing complimentary about that.. Enterprise cost me a lot of money and goodwill with my clients due to their inability to provide a car and then expected me to pay them ! Customer satisfaction is obviously not a priority with this company,so I would say to look elsewhere if you want a reliable service. read more

I've rented cars from Enterprise both in the States and in Ireland and I've always had great experiences...this time was very different. I took a taxi to the Russell St. location to pick up the car on a cold rainy day and was greeted by a very nice girl who looked up my reservation, took my drivers license and Visa card. I was most of the way through when she asked me for a second form of ID, I told her I didn't have any and my passport was back the location I was staying at. She asked the manager if it was ok that the my ID matched my plane ticket confirmation, VISA card and car reservation would it be ok...he said absolutely not. I was taken back by his attitude right away...I told him I cant remember needing 2 forms of picture ID before and he just said, "sorry its our policy". They gave me a ride back to get my passport and I made it back to the office 45 minutes later and I got the car. The girl I was working with initially did the check of the car which was very quick as it was rainy and windy. A week later I brought the car back and she was not there so I was forced to work with the arrogant, condescending manager. He checked the car and right away found a little nic in the tire and told me that it would be 100 euros. I told him that the girl never checked the tires and that could've been there when I got the car. He told me that all of the employees do a thorough check with the customer, essentially calling me a liar. He was so incredible awful to deal with, condescending, rude and arrogant. I have already told 2 friends that will be visiting Ireland next month to use a different company and that's too bad because I think Enterprise is a good company in general. On a recent trip to Dublin I had a rental reserved at Enterprise. I called to have a pick-up at my hotel which they kindly accommodated my request. This probably saved me 40 Euro. Upon arrival at their office, I was informed that my vehicle had not been turned in yet, and that they were waiting for another vehicle. I had reserved a standard size car. After about 10 minutes, they informed me that my vehicle was ready. They walked me into the garage where a new shiny black Mercedes Benz E300 was waiting for me. Wow! I have to drive this around Ireland for the next 9 days. Anyway, the car was elegant and a real joy to drive. We put around 1,000 miles on it. There was no additional charge for this upgrade. We dropped the car off at the airport since we were staying at an airport hotel for a night before our morning departure. The Enterprise shuttle driver was very kind to deliver us to the hotel. This type of service and accommodation is what makes Enterprise a leader in the car rental business. Thanks to the Dublin City Centre and airport staff. You guys rock! read more

Renting from Enterprise in Dublin was a horrible experience. We picked up the car at the Dublin Airport. We wanted to take a taxi to the hotel and then pick up the car the next day. The agent assured us that it was an easy drive to our hotel--only 20 minutes. Later we learned that no one drives in Dublin--not even residents of Ireland. There are no street signs and very confusing one way streets. Beware--we brought our car back with a relatively deep scratch on one door and was charged $800 for the damage. When I asked if they would take a photo of the scratch, they refused. I did not think quickly enough or I could have pulled out my own camera. When I called 30 minutes later to ask additional questions, they said that the car was already at the body shop and all future questions had to go directly to the body shop. They no longer would have any responsibility for repair. My credit card statement has already included the $800 charge, but I have not received any news from the body shop. read more
