The trail is paved and next to the stream, parallel with Paramus Ave. It goes through Glen Rock, Paramus, Fair Lawn and Rochelle Park. It splits in a few areas and there's a few different entry points and parks along the way. The path could be busy. I think most the walkers are annoyed at the bike riders for passing them by quickly, but the riders are annoyed at the walkers for taking up space and not staying to the right. In the map, you can see where the trails splits and can take the alternate path. It was great for a bike ride, except I walked it in a few areas and hopefully I don't get poison ivy. There were baseball fields, basketball courts, pavilions and an abandoned tennis court. There was a waterfall, a lookout tower and a building from the 1800's. The underpasses/bridges were nicely boarded and the trail is very clean. This park is very basic. There was nothing extraordinary about it. I think if your in the area and it's convenient to walk or ride through, it's nice, but it's not worth going out of your way.

Truth be told the majority of the playground structure is just slides.. but if your kid loves slides then this is the playground to try! There's a bunch of fun ways to get up to the slides too -- a couple ladders, a "rock wall", steps, etc. Rumana is definitely on the newer side with rubber mulch and brightly colored heavy duty plastic parts/pieces. The playground has a good sized yard so great for kids running around too. It is enclosed by a fence but it's not lockable... so if you have littles then you'll want to keep a eye on them a bit more closely so they don't wander off. The small basketball court, merry go round and swings are all a bonus. The swings are designed for older kids though... no baby or toddler seats. Parking is easy -- there's no parking lot but the street in front of the playground indents a little bit so there's plenty of room for a line of cars to the playground and for other cars to drive down the street.

I'll be sure to come back to swim in the lake and maybe take a boat around. But even closed, this is a great place to go for picnicking or hiking with free parking. There's picnic tables, a jungle gym, bathrooms and I'm sorry I didn't check to see if the showers were working if you wanted to use them. Now, this is important. I started walking around the lake, around the lake wound be going to the left, but the trail went right. I went left, there was a rock wall and I figured I'd follow it and it would bring me back to around the lake. It didn't, I ended up crossing into New York and wandering around Sterling Forest until I eventually found my self on the main road. After walking about 3 more miles, I was actually able to find a trail that lead back to the lake, of course when that trail reached the road for the lake, I walked a mile in the wrong direction, my point is FOLLOW THE TRAIL!
