Each year the passes the town adds more to this park. It has a great playground, splash pad, 2 full size turf soccer field in addition to a few grass fields. The basketball courts and sand area for volleyball, baseball and football fields are well maintained. The restrooms are always clean with plenty of parking throughout. Can't forget the dog run that includes and separate fenced area for smaller more shy dogs. I'm glad to have such great park to enjoy with my kids!

woohoo is right! What is not to love?? We have a dog park, soccer fields galore, lacrosse, football and baseball. plus one of the best playgrounds in the area? I'm very lucky to live close to this park. The playground is wonderful - broken into 2 sections - 1 for big kids one for small kids. When we go, we typically stay for at least 2 hours. I bring food to take a break in the picnic area (no food in the park please!!) and then my kids go right back at it. The dog park is great too - so far we have only met very nice dog owners. no aggressive dogs either. Great running area! Bathrooms are well maintained. Sometimes (not sure of the schedule) they even have a snackbar! Only downside is parking - they have plenty of it but you often have to walk far to either the park (if soccer games are going on) or an event in the park. The township holds many events here - which can make for an overcrowded playground experience.

Its a nice park, didnt get to see all of it but i heard there was a dog park too. i only went cause there was a food truck festival and it was a great experience. It was a nice friendly family enviorment, great food and rides for the kids with a live band playing. If they do it again next year i will defenitely come back.

Great place to bring the kids in a summer day. You have the park and splash pad all in one.

Wesley was amped up after his vaccines so I decided to look for a park where we could eat our lunch and enjoy the spring weather. I legit just looked up parks on Apple Maps and chose the closest place. Oh my god - there was a lake - accessible by walking or by car. So many lovely places to park right by the water. An ABUNDANCE of benches. So many beautiful cherry blossom canopies. And dog friendly to boot! We saw elderly couples, teenage friends, young lovers, new moms, athletes, dog dads, people fishing. There's also swimming and aquatics there once the summer rolls around. It was just so perfect. For history buffs, there was also a war memorial to departed soldiers from the area since The Revolutionary War(!!). What a sweet little afternoon break!

The park has a large 40 × 80-foot pavilion, a covered stage, and a gazebo on "the Island" with benches nearby--ideal for parties, ceremonies, or even just relaxing with family, That's where we had our picnic--enjoying lunch with a view of the lake. this ares also marked as Roxbury Rotary pavillon. Concert/big gathering, and Roxbury's Memorial Day Parade and ceremony spot. The grounds are tidy and well-maintained, with scenic views of the horseshoe-shaped lake that's especially beautiful at sunrise or sunset It is a relaxed and welcoming spot for families, friends, and big gatherings. From playgrounds to trails, sports fields to peaceful lake views, it offers a bit of everything.

(On Father's Day, no less. When I was hoping I could keep up with my kids and at least finish the "advanced elevation" course.) That being said... we had an absolute blast. (Myself and the Mrs. were beaten and bruised and battered and sore afterwards, but we loved it.) The weather wasn't ideal (cold and rainy) but I think that was a blessing in disguise. The workers and guides were all incredible. (They were all supportive, friendly, and passionate about the adventure we were about to jump into.) Each course got a wee bit higher and more challenging and within the actual course I appreciated their 'method to the madness' - they'd break up the taxing (physical) stuff with a zipline as a 'breather' before you had to start to hustle again on some crazy shifting logs or cargo netting. As someone with a bit of experience over the years (ziplining at Hunter Mountain, Ausable Chasm in the Adirondacks, TreeEscape at Mt. Creek) FLG X was by far the most exacting. (But take that with a grain of salt... if you're not in the AARP age range - like myself - you might have a blast and be able to reach the Black Course, including those daunting monkey bars!) Worth every penny, for sure. (Pro tip: make sure you bring or buy a pair of rugged gloves... they're essential.) "GUIDE! GUIDE! GUIDE!"

Im also horrified of heights but i was determined I went through a brief video about the corse and some safety. The young lady from the desk gave a excellent training on safety and proper use of the equipment Then my wife and i was introduced to Matthew our guide Matthew explained everything step by step as we went along My wife had plenty of experience and with Matthew we felt safe for myself and my wife I took my time climbing the latter and Matthew assured me i secured and safe He really gained my trust . I had to take my time and rest for two to five min at a time and Matthew really gave me the confidence i needed to continue Im 60 years old i not old but iam a little broken lol I was a little dehydrated i needed water i thought i was in trouble but no Matthew asked one of the other highly trained staff to get me a bottle of water After that i zipped a few times with no issues i was doing really good. But my arms were going dull because of some prior injuries Matthew helped go down the ladder and i was ok Matthew is a very calm individual professional who knows what he is doing you can tell he had the best training. He really made my experience great I have to add it wasn't very busy so thank god The staff is excellent and these young men and women run a tight ship safety is their priority and second is for their guest to enjoy themselves. The zip line course is great for any level my wife said this was the best one yet and she has been to many. If i can do it i think most people can to Use common sense, listen to the guides they are there for you I cant ever do this ever again because of my injuries of a bad accident i had in 2011 but this was on my bucket list I always wanted to scuba dive but that dream is only a dream But i got to zip line and at no point at all i wasn't in any kind of danger Thank you Matthew for doing your job above and beyond of any on my expectations The harness and the clips and all the safety equipment are the best . You have to listen to the guides have common courtesy and have patience and use the equipment properly and pay attention to what you are doing Its not all to difficult trust me im not to bright and i had a great time Matthew you are a true champ and you will succeed anything you do. I will be for ever grateful i will be recommending this FLG X to everyone. One more important thing thank you so much for making sure my wife and the rest of the quests are safe and everyone was enjoying themselves Great corse also. The corse and zip line are the best its a must try All the staff are professionals and they all will keep you safe Thank you guys so much forever grateful for the experience CHEF RAMOS

There is an awesome kids' pool and a large regular pool with tons of lounge seating. The grounds are very nice and taken care of, so if you choose to lay down your blanket, you're on a nice bed of grass or under a shady tree or canopy. The snack bar has some really good food beyond your regular french fries and ice cream. Try the chicken caesar salad; light and refreshing! The kiddie pool has a cute frog slide, sprayers, and a small splash pad, as well as these fun bucket type things that fill with water and dump water into the pool (or on you if you choose!). Adults can go into the kiddie pool and vice versa. One of my favorite things about this pool is that they let kids wear floaties and swimmies in all the pools which is great for both parent and child. A visit for the day with a member is $8 which is very reasonable and their membership for seniors is only about $100 for the season. It's a very clean establishment and well-maintained. Perfect place for a hot summer day!
