Getting out after a concert was next level. We were staying about eight miles away and Ubered to the concert. At 70 minutes we still couldn't get a ride (walking to the outlets). Concessions are limited. Food trucks are overpriced. The concert itself was great and the tickets were competitively priced. It's just entering/exiting logistics that were challenging. Overall it's a great venue to hear the actual show but get ready for delays leaving.

The parking across the street is a mess. You have to wind through the county side for miles just to get in despite other entrances they could open. The same when leaving they force you to drive through the back roads for miles just to end up back on the main roads next to the parking field. Crossing the street to get to the venue from parking is a mess. You would think after 90 years they would build a pedestrian bridge or tunnel to and from the venue. Image 10k+ people trying to exit at once and waiting on the light to change. The purse policy was inconsistently being enforced. They could post someone at the crosswalk if they are going to turn people around for small clutch purses to avoid a long way back to the car. Don't foresee me returning to this logistical nightmare.

The Bears have an amazing winning record. Years ago, when the Manitoba Moose (the AHL farm team of the Winnipeg Jets) was making its playoff run, it had a series against the Hershey Bears. Like the passionate hockey fan that I can be, I did a road trip from Markham to Hershey, PA. I also visited the Hershey store while I was in the city. I love Hershey's chocolate, but I was here for the game. I attended game 4 of the playoffs series. I remember speaking to a parking attendant and paying for parking. She said, "Go, Bears!" to me. She didn't realize that my vehicle had a Ontario licence plate and I was likely cheering for the opponent. I don't recall getting any snacks or drinks during the game. I do recall having a decent view of the rink and being sad that the Moose had lost against the Bears in that game. Bears fans are passionate folks. It was nice to see. One of these days, I'll need to return and take in an AHL game. I wasn't on Yelp back then and didn't take a ton of photos. I will next time. (354)

Season Ticket Holder Perspective (Section 104, Row C, Seats 1 & 2)…read more If you're going to do hockey in Hershey, you do it at the Giant Center and my seats (Section 104, Row C, 1 & 2) are chef's kiss for Hershey Bears games. Three rows off the ice means you feel every hit, hear every skate carve, and occasionally get a good "did-I-just-flinch-at-a-puck?" moment. And if you're lucky you might just get a puck! The view straight across the ice is fantastic. Now... the view down toward the far goal on the right? Yeah, no. The distortion from the glass is rough. It's like watching hockey through a funhouse mirror. You'll catch the general idea but don't expect crystal clarity unless the play comes back your way. Sound System for Bears Games: Let me be blunt... it's aggressively loud. Like "why am I being yelled at by speakers during warm-ups?" loud. If you're sensitive to sound, bring earplugs or prepare to be spiritually tackled by the decibel levels. Concerts: This is where the Giant Center gets unpredictable. Most concerts I've seen here suffer from rough acoustics... muddy sound, too much reverb, and vocals that disappear into a void. BUT Trans-Siberian Orchestra on 11/23/25? Shockingly great. Crisp, powerful, balanced. It was the rare show where the sound team actually tamed the concrete cavern. Parking: Oh boy. Getting in and out is a nightmare. It is chaos every single time. Too many lanes funneling into too few exits. Every event at Hershey Park, Hershey Stadium AND the Giant Center all fighting for the same roads. If you come here often, pack patience and maybe a snack for the car. Food & Concessions: Perfectly average venue fare, nothing amazing, definitely nothing healthy, and priced like it's made of truffles and hopes. You're paying for convenience and location, not culinary excellence. Overall: This is our local go-to venue, and I'll always show up for my Bears and the big touring acts. The energy is great, the games are a blast, and concerts can be magical when the sound behaves. But between the parking mess, inconsistent acoustics, and sensory-overload sound levels at games, it's far from perfect. Still... it's Hershey. It's home. And I'll be back in my same seats next week yelling for the Bears.

It's roughly a seven-minute drive between Hersheypark Arena and Giant Center. It's cools that both arenas are a part of this sports complex. This arena has a capacity of over 8,000 hockey fans. It's a decent hockey arena. I have never seen the Hershey Cubs play. Whenever I'm back in Hershey, I will try to see the Cubs here. (353)

It's a fun environment for players of all skill levels and offers plenty of room to move around and play. A few highlights from my experience: Large indoor turf playing area with plenty of space for games. The turf surface is forgiving, making dives and slides much less intimidating than on harder surfaces. Well-organized open play with a good turnout and plenty of opportunities to rotate into games. Water fountain with a bottle filling station, which came in handy throughout the evening. Clean and adequate restroom facilities. Snacks and vending machines available on-site for a quick refreshment between games. Plenty of parking shared with the surrounding sports facilities and physical rehabilitation center. One thing to keep in mind is that the courts are housed inside a large enclosed tent structure. Because of this, it can become quite warm and humid, especially when multiple games are going on at once. I'd strongly recommend bringing plenty of water or other cold drinks to stay hydrated. Overall, In The Net is a great venue for volleyball and other indoor sports. The turf surface, spacious facility, and solid amenities make it an enjoyable place to play, whether you're there for league play, open gym, or just looking to get some extra touches on the ball. I'll definitely be back for another open play session.

Very disappointing that the kids were robbed of completing their game. Our organization will never come back to this complex. Very disappointing. In addition, our organization was charged $25 to use the cages before our game when other teams were not charged and did not pay.

Comparing the cost to see these shows on Broadway in NYC versus here closer to home it was a package that made sense. We LOVED having the same seats for Hamilton, Beetlejuice, Ain't Too Proud, & Pretty Woman. Our seats were my favorite, but you can't have a bad seat. I've seen shows from Orchestra to back row Balcony in the past. Given the age of the theatre & how theatre seating is so very tight (esp in nyc) , Hershey Theatre is comfortable. I try to picture the long, full elegant gowns worn to the theatre back a century ago & I can't imagine how it could have been comfortable! But if those women made it through a theatre night, I certainly can too. For this theatre season, the air & heating systems seemed a problem for me. It was blustery cold outside but to warm & stuffy inside so it was a challenge to figure out how to dress appropriately. They never started on time. I don't know if it's the opening door time, enhanced security, or the show tour itself but time management seemed to be an issue this season at the Saturday 2pm shows. Snacks and drinks are provided for a reasonable fee. Regular care & maintenance was maintained to the rest rooms. And everything else people like to know about like parking & wifi plus the heating & cooling system is getting work done in 2025 so save your $$$ and get ready for an EPIC return to theatre when Hershey Theatre re-opens their doors after renovation!!!

The Milton S. Hershey mansion which is known as High Point was built in 1908 and was the home of…read moreHershey Chocolate founder Milton S. and Catherine Hershey. It's the home that chocolate built. Compared to other wealthy industrialists, such as the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts, High Point, designed by Henry Herr was very modest in size with only 22 rooms and a large front porch. After Catherine's death in 1915, Milton didn't want to have much to do with the place and sold or gave away most all the furnishings, and moved upstairs to three rooms while the house was turned into the clubhouse for the local golf course. The funny thing is that he used to call those three rooms with his porch overlooking the grounds, Atlantic City, so when people would come by looking for him, he had his staff say that he was in Atlantic City. When the Hershey country club was founded in 1930 Milton Hershey donated the house to the club and it remained his primary residence until his death in 1945. Later the house was acquired in 1970 by The Milton Hershey school, then purchased by Hershey Foods for its corporate headquarters in 1977 then years later, purchased by the Hershey Trust Company, which now continues their business at that location. Tour tickets are released on the 15th of every month for the following month and tours are held only on Saturdays. The tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis, so it's best to plan ahead to get your tickets. the tours typically last 60 to 75 minutes and will require a good bit of standing and walking and there is no seating available. The tickets are only sold online and must be purchased at least one day in advance and they are not sold at the mansion. There is a 10 guest maximum per tour and you need to arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour at the bottom of the front porch steps. There is free parking available in the adjoining lot and while walking the grounds and taking as many pictures as you'd like on the grounds is admissible photography is not permitted inside the building. The docent and volunteers that run the program are well-versed and quite knowledgeable in all aspects of Milton, Hershey and his wife, Catherine, along with all the artifacts, original and reproduction furnishings that are located throughout the house. They were able to answer all of our questions, and even gave us some food for thought concerning the building of the house, cost of the house when built and the current structure of the house as it is today. A visit to the mansion is a definite must for anybody that's interested in the history of Milton, Hershey, and how he brought chocolate to the masses.
