This apparently is a new location for the Hermes store after moving out of the Buckhead Village District location at previously had. Uniquely enough this store is located at the very far end of the mall versus where I parked by Saks Fifth Avenue. On this particular day, it was great to see the store with a lot of staff and a lot of clients. However, I was not pleased with the fact that I had to wait in line to get inside. I was also not pleased at the security guard at the door only asked me out of the people in line if I had any intention of buying anything or if my visit was purely just to look. I would like to say that this was not done intentionally and I would like to say that this was not done on the basis of race however, the women in front of me who are in line we're not asked these questions and also did not look like me. Luckily, the lady who helped us inside was very kind and understanding. I had to make my annual in person physical visit to the store. So I do not have a relationship here however I have a relationship at a different store. The selection here was average. I thought there would be more options here considering that it was Atlanta however it was decent. It was very busy, especially for a weekend Saturday. I did manage to find a few things in stock and make my annual physical in person purchases. So I did not walk away empty-handed, or overly disappointed despite the unwelcome greeting by the security guard. read more

Livid. I've been to Hermes in other countries and I've never experienced such an unfriendly group of staff. Statistically rude staff inclines people to buy more but not when they're completely ignoring you as if you're invisible. I've been calling the store as I needed the buy a gift quickly and wanted to check that they had it in inventory but they don't answer their phones. I left a VM and called their corporate. Corporate told me that the store will get back to me within 24 to 48 hours but I did not get a call back which required me to make the visit. After a good 5 minutes of pretentious staff and customers sipping their champagne passing by me, I was finally able to hunt down someone to help me. I would stick to online ordering or purchasing out of state/country to avoid this location. read more

Something you may wish to know: they were unable to see my other Hermès purchases because they were made in Mexico. Something to think about when you are chasing that Birkin. The sales staff are always extremely friendly and professional. I also love that they take time with their customers and they treat the "regulars" as friends. They remember names and faces. I'm not sure there is a retail operation that makes it harder to spend money than this place. Bought my wife a belt for her birthday. She ultimately wanted to swap it for a bracelet. Store didn't have it, so had to wait for it to arrive. Could have ordered it online and received within the week, but store credit only works at the store. Took 2 months for the bracelet to get to the store! Wife had some leftover credit and went to use it today. Nope...need me and my ID in the store to use the credit. They think she just found this receipt in the trash??? Not to mention they are open for a few hours a day, so please clear your schedule so you can go shopping here. Maybe I'm not rich enough to be a customer here. read more

I am writing this review for Hermés on Buckhead in Atlanta, GA. Today, I made my first Hermés purchase. I live in Asheville, NC, so I usually travel to South Park in Charlotte, NC to shop for Hermés. Their Hermés store closed in January of this year so I was somewhat skeptical on what this store and the staff would be like. Immediately as I walked in, I was greeted by sales associate Tomeko. I honestly felt like a valued customer in Hermés today and I honestly felt my purchase was valued. I purchased quite a bit today and Tomeko was very cordial and respectful. He took his time and helped me find each item I was looking for. This is a very large Hermés store with a large inventory. I was looking for five different items and this Hermés store had all of them. I ended up spending close to $5,000 and Tomeko literally made me feel like royalty in this store. I don't understand why all of the other reviews are so negative for this Hermés and why it concerns customer service. Today, I received some of the best customer service I could have ever received at a designer store. I honestly couldn't be more satisfied or pleased with how well my shopping trip went. Needless to say, I will be back for more Hermés quite soon. Way to go Tomeko! read more

Was there after lunch at Shake Shack. The store was beautiful. Not too big, but who needs a big store space? The staffs are friendly and helpful. Walked around and saw a beautiful petite bangle that will fit my wrist perfectly. When asked about the price, was told it was $9000. *Gulp* Saw an out of this world Birkin with crocodile hailed from Australia. Price? $57,000! Ok make it over $60k when you add in the sales tax. The price is out of this world too, but of cos we are talking about Hermès here. Personally I don't care that much about exotic crocodile skin. The leather used in their bags is just top notch and the best. Manuela (sp?) is absolutely lovely, helpful and very patient too. Saw her spending a lot of time helping a gentleman with belts and went on further taking out a Kelly bag for him to see. He did not purchase one single thing at the end, yet she was still all smiles and very nice. That's what I called outstanding customer service here. Look for Manuela if you find yourself at Hermès. After all, you are spending alot of money here, you deserve top notch service, don't you? ;-) read more

So upsetting to give such a beautiful store a low rating. I had received a Hermès bag as a gift which I believed was fake. I had called Hermès at 1-800-441-4488 prior to visiting the store. When I spoke to the representative, and had told her my dilemma, she advised me to take it into the store to get the bag authenticated. I arrived first thing in the morning on Martin Luther King day which was the 20th of January. I had asked for assistance and informed the young guy of my dilemma, and was told to stop in here for some assistance. From that moment on, I felt so incredibly judged and even ridiculed from this sales clerk. He threw his hands up on his face and gasped with a look of disdain. Saying, "Oh nooo I can't do THAT! I can get fired! While making such insulting comments about the bag. Then another sales clerk, who was originally minding his own business, starts to also make snarky, rude and insulting comments. I just wanted to grab the bag and run out of the store. I was mortified and embarrassed. Regardless If authenticating items is not allowed, there is a much more tasteful, classy and professional way of handling this situation! This store is Hermès people! I won't be back. I honestly don't know why one of my favorite boutique get low stars on Yelp. While reading other reviews and people blatantly feel that most SA at Hermes Atlanta are not treating customers kindly, i personally feel different way. I do understand that the way the SA greet us is not what you normally be greeted when you enter any other stores, yet they always be polite and courteous. It has been many years we have come to the store and I love the Buckhead Avenue location way better than the old location. If it does help, i personally love my SA, Oscar and also Manuella. All I wanted to do was purchase a scarf with my debit card for my wife who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Apparently my Mastercard does not meet the requirements of their online checkout system. I was told that there were no alternative methods to pay and my best bet was to drive 3 hours 1 way to make the purchase. I also did not appreciate the rude and condescending attitude of their staff over the phone during much of this process. While my wife will be fine, the staff here will never be. read more

My sister and I visited Hermes to buy my brother in law a belt, and I must say...for a store like this, the staff were pretty nice. They weren't stuck up like we were expecting them to be.. since a lot of stores like these are usually with filled with stuck up sales associate (I am talking about Chanel in both Lenox and Saks, and some other). Worst service imaginable!!! While on a shopping spree with my fiancé (who makes more in a week than every store associate's salary combined)-- we entered the store and eyes rolled, faces turned and no one greeted us. We were the only people in the store and not one of the 3 visible associates helped us. I stood in the center of the store and asked, "am I invisible?!"... they looked and no one said a word. I have been to many Hermes stores and was excited to visit another one on my first trip to Atlanta. I was thrilled to see how beautiful the store was, but was even more thrilled by the service provided by Sung, who was truly outstanding. She was warm, generous, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely focused on the customer. I would absolutely return to this Hermes and would recommend it (and Sung) to anyone in the area. Went yesterday (Saturday afternoon) with my teenage daughter to look at bangles. The store was extremely quiet, no other customers, 3 employees, one looked like security, museum like atmosphere. We looked at the jewelry and walked around and were never approached by staff. As a matter of fact, they never even made eye contact with us. Uncomfortable and awkward experience. Awful experience. I drove an hour from Alpharetta to get here. It was about 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a Wednesday so fairly slow traffic. I was the only customer in the store amongst five or six sales associates who were so busy stocking drawers and counters and shifting and arranging merchandise that hardly anyone spoke to me when I entered. One nice young man did offer to help me and was actually very nice. I could barely hear our conversation because the noise of the sales people chatting and clanging boxes and drawers right next to me and cluttering the counter space was so overwhelming that it detracted from the experience I expected to get from such a high-end store. This type of busywork should be done after hours out of sight and earshot of the customers, especially considering they are only open until 6 PM. I will never visit the store again. Definitely a Walmart experience. read more
